Escape the Madding Crowd

Join us on Little Horse Creek where Merri and I spend our summers in the Lost Provence.

Enjoy the cool, green, fresh Blue Ridge simplicity of our farm.

Escape the hectic pressures of  the city.  Enjoy the freshness of our forest at the end of the world but, still be in the middle of things.

The motto at one of our nearest restaurants in Lansing, North Carolina (192 friendly  people) was: “This is not the end of the world but you can see it from here”.

Merrily Farms is at the end of the world… isolated… nurtured in nature… serene… a perfect place for creativity and peace.

When Merri and I sold our print publishing business in the 1990s, we built cabins and a seminar hall and renovated cottages here.

Little Horse Creek Autumn entrance

The farm is always quiet, peaceful and relaxing.  We built this covered bridge as it allowed us to cross Little Horse Creek…before that one had to wade through!

In times that so many perceive as tumultuous, inspiration becomes even more valuable and important in business.  The news on the internet, in the papers and on TV are so filled with negativity that it can be catching.  In such eras, those who see positive realities gain an extra edge.  This is the place where you leave all this behind.

Our idea was to have small seminars at the farm.

Screen shot 2014-09-10 at 8.27.45 AM

A group with us at the farm.

There was a problem.  The seminars and courses kept growing too large.  This is a pleasant problem but a difficulty still.

We have given up and have the seminars in West Jefferson at the Jefferson Landing Country Club where there is plenty of space.

We now offer these cabins as quiet escapes at the end of the world, even if you do not want a private consultation.

The cabins and cottage are available for a few days, a week or even a month so you can enjoy the peace and beauty of the Blue Ridge… as Merri and I do.

Make Merrily Farms your escape to our remote North Carolina farm on Little Horse Creek.

Ecuador Thanksgiving Trek

Ecuador Thanksgiving Christmas Trek Free

ecuador-Thanksgiving

Today is Thanksgiving in the USA and we give special thanks to all of you who help support this site.  To show our appreciation we have organized a free Ecuador holiday trek for early December.   The savings on Christmas shopping are so great you can almost have a trip to Ecuador free. You can read everything about this free Ecuador Thanksgiving trip in a moment.

ecuador-Thanksgiving

First may I share why Merri and  are so thankful.

A couple days ago, a reader sent this note:

As stated earlier, travel restrictions based on immunization status may be in the cards. This video indicates Ecuador will impose mandatory vaccinations in the near future:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-xwzUZPxXA. What are we going to do now?

I clicked on this link and saw that the video had been removed so I sent this reply:  This video has been removed so I cannot comment… but I suspect that the data was inaccurate hence the removal.  There are always some things we do not know… but I have heard this rumor for over a year and have seen nothing to support the claim or add any validity to it.

These may seem like times of diminished liberties and they are in many ways. I never underestimate the stupidity that governments will display in times of panic.   There are ways though to mitigate these dangers.  I invite you to read my article “Ecuador Diversified.”

Diversification is one important step in a freedom lifestyle, but the real freedoms come from changes within… not without.   We need to live in ways that protect our health, clear thinking and spirit so we have the best ability to embrace change.  When we are diversified and in top condition physically, mentally and spiritually, we can put ourselves in the hands of God and adapt gracefully.

This is a better way to live than always worrying about the sky falling.  This is our 41st year of business and we have seen so many panics… the Nuclear Halocaust… The US Bankruptcy of 1995.  Y2K…  the SARS Epidemic and many more.

Yet here we are!  The sky is still up there and looks pretty darn good to me and for this we give thanks every day.

The best way to adapt to any changes in your economy or society is to hone our abilities to serve.

Ecuador Thanksgiving Trek Free

On Thanksgiving Merri and I give special thanks to all of you who help support this site.  To show our appreciation we have organized a free Ecuador Thanksgiving  trek for early December.

ecuador-Thanksgiving

There are innumerable types of textiles in Otavalo.  Cotton… wool.

Any delegate to any of our seminars, tours or paid subscribers to Ecuador Living, Tangled Web or our Multi Currency Course are invited to attend.

Christmas shopping savings for authentic Ecuadorian crafts can dramatically reduce the cost of your Ecuador visit.

This Ecuador Christmas Trek is especially suited for those who attending Blaine Watson’s December course on astrology.

Thanksgiving is a day of great power.  There is enormous strength derived from  family and friends uniting together everywhere in prayer and celebration to give thanks to the Divine for the gifts and good fortune in their lives.

There is an astrological aspect to Thanksgiving as it always falls on the last Thursday of November.  Astrologically Thursday is ruled by Jupiter, the planet called “the Great Benefic”.  Jupiter’s energies can actually increase the blessings and good deeds of this day. Jupiter also magnifies whatever is held in your prayers and good wishes.  Let us harness Jupiter’s intensified energy together to increase the power of gratitude to some important people in our lives; our parents and family   friends, or anyone who has done a good deed.

Express your gratitude to them through Secret Acts of Kindness. Whether you tell them about your gift to them or not, the weight of your good will make the world a more positive place.

Finally a Thanksgiving Inspiration and Business Idea

Todd Smith attended our self publishing course several years ago and has developed an excellent web business turning his passion for photography into a profit.

He recently sent this Thanksgiving note:

A Big Thank You.  I’ve had a lot to be thankful for around here lately.  Over the last month, thirteen people have helped upload new unframed prints to my website.  We now have 294 unframed prints, and a total of 479 products on the entire site.

There is no way I could have done it myself.  This Thanksgiving I’m grateful for these generous and hard workers:

Alice Warren, Debbie Bruce, Deb Chessell, Wendee Lee, Gail Cammerata, Joy Bolster, Shelley Spruit, Karen Kelly, Heather Farha, Sarah Miller, Inge van Rosmalen, Joy Bolster, and Heather Farha.

A Special Offer for You at Thanksgiving

I’m also grateful as always to you, my readers.  You make sharing photography a joy for me.  Your feedback always inspires me to keep on looking for another subject for these newsletters.

As a thank you, I’m offering you a special deal on my calendar this week only:  Until Sunday, November 29 you can Buy 3 Get 1 Free!

Shhhh… it’s a secret.  You won’t see this offer advertised on my site.  But now you know. Just between you and me, you can buy 6 and get 2 free, buy 9 and get 3 free.  The sky’s the limit.  :) But don’t delay.  This deal won’t last.

The calendars make perfect stocking stuffers or inexpensive gifts for your child’s piano teacher, dance teacher, or art teacher… or for your favorite health food store checker, postman or computer repairman.

Give something people will remember you for all year long.

An Easy Opportunity to Earn

Would you like to earn a few extra dollars for the holiday season?  Do you need a little extra cash to spend on gifts this year?

Why not become a rep for Todd Smith Photography?

If you have a few hundred friends on Facebook, you can earn money promoting my calendar.  If you can show my calendars or cards to your friends in person, you could make some extra money.

If you have a blog, you could earn some money pointing people to my site.  If you have a newsletter, you could do the same.  If you use Twitter or any social media, you could easily earn some money promoting my calendar.

If you belong to a club or sports team or choir, why not bring some calendars to show around?  You might be surprised by how well they sell.

If your kid’s school, or band is looking for a fundraiser, we can help.  If your kid likes selling door to door, here’s the perfect product.

I’m willing to pay you handsomely for your work getting the word out.

Sell 100 calendars and you’ll earn over $600.  Sell 10 calendars and earn over $60.  It’s that easy.

Please reply to this email if you’re interested.

Happy Thanksgiving!

See you with the next photo newsletter in a couple of weeks.  Todd

This is good marketing. You can see how Todd has developed his ability to serve at his Todd Smith Photography website.

Whether you are in the USA today or elsewhere… gratitude is one of the most powerful positive thought processes because it leads to joy.

Fear leads to anger which is more expressive than all emotions except joy.  Most people use anger as their main emotion because when it is such an expressive emotion, it helps them engage in expression and allows them to discuss their feelings and activate events.

Joy however is even more powerful and much healthier and effective.  Gratitude can get you to joy!

Thanks.

Retire With Ecuador Real Estate Value & IRAs

One great reason to retire in Ecuador is the real estate value. Plus you can own Ecuador or other overseas investment and retirement real estate with your IRA.

Retirement costs of in Ecuador are low because the cost of a home and utilities are so low.

There is great value, plus enormous beauty in the Andean and coastal countryside.

The wonderful crafts markets of Ecuador create export opportunity to supplement income when you retire in Ecuador.

There is so much beautiful property and…

homes seem so inexpensive like these houses at San Miguel (under $100,000) and…

cotacachi-ecuador-san-miguel

Primavera condos (under $46,000) that…

multi-currency-Ecuador-condos

it becomes easy to misunderstand value. Take for instance Ecuador’s empty beaches.  This is a shot of a wonderful coastal land in Ecuador.

What is this property’s value?  Prices on some Ecuador beach property are really low!   When you find a beautiful piece of property like this at a really low price, how can you lose?

Here is how you can see your Ecuador retirement wealth shrivel.

Our friend Todd Smith recently sent me some photos of a trip he made down California’s coast.

Imagine buying land on the beach in California 30 years ago.

You couldn’t miss.

Right?

Todd’s photos reminded me that you can.  Todd photos was scripted with this text:

If you ever want to get away completely, visit the Lost Coast of California.

retire-in-ecuador-real-estate

In Humboldt County, head south on Rt. 211 from Fortuna, towards the ocean.

You’ll follow a winding, narrow almost-one-lane road for about 30 miles before you reach the Pacific, and you’ll be lucky if you pass a single car.

Be sure to fill up before you go because you’ll be almost completely on your own.
a coastal island in the trees.

The Lost Coast gets it’s name from the fact that Rt. 1 and Rt. 101 completely bypass this section of about 100 miles of shoreline.

Except for signs of ranching and an occasional hamlet you would think you were the only person on this lovely, godforsaken planet.

retire-in-ecuador-real-estate

See all of Todd’s photos of the lost coast.

What value does this California real estate have…

retire-in-ecuador-real-estate

beyond building a barn?

Real estate has two values… the value for you as a user… and what someone else will pay for it.

If you retire in Ecuador and want to live in an isolated place in the mountains or on the coast… great. You can find some incredible real estate values.

If you buy to resell and plan to profit… beware! Some Ecuador real estate will appreciate dramatically as pressures of modern life shift agricultural land to residential, recreational or commercial.

However some beach property and mountain land like this…

retire-in-ecuador

in 10, 20 and 30 years from now will look like this.

retire-in-ecuador

The value will have increased due to inflation but great appreciation is not likely.

Investors who are ready to retire in Ecuador should look closely at the likely time frame of land appreciation.  Be careful to make sure that your retirement liquidity needs do not come before appreciation.

You can also buy Ecuador real estate through an IRA… if you or your family are not going to live in or use the property.

This site has been helping people retire in Ecuador and to invest their IRAs abroad for years.

You can own real estate in your IRA, including non-U.S. real estate. Over the years, advisers have wrongly convinced many people they cannot own real estate, as well as a number of other alternative investments, inside their IRA’s or other retirement plans. Nothing could be further from the truth. In actuality, the IRS allows a great deal of flexibility when it comes to investing the assets of your retirement account.

The trouble comes if you don’t have a “self directed” IRA or if you work with a custodian who imposes his own investment restrictions. Most of these restrictions have nothing to do with the code governing retirement accounts but are instead employed to make life easier for the custodian.

Here is what is allowed:

• Raw land

• Condos

• Office buildings

• Single-family homes

• Multi-family homes

• Apartment buildings

• Improved land

The IRS defines prohibited transactions and self-dealing that you cannot do in your IRA.  Your retirement plan is meant to benefit you at retirement… not earlier so you cannot directly or indirectly, deal with yourself or a family member.

You cannot lend money, extend credit, or furnish goods, services, or facilities to yourself or a disqualified individual. In other words, you can invest in any type of real estate you want as long as it is an investment and not for your own use currently.

However if you find your dream Ecuador retirement home  that you want to live in when you reti you can buy it in the IRA, rent it for now and take it as a distribution from your plan when you retire.

You can have a full report and contacts with a custodians who can help you own Ecuador real estate in your IRA.   Subscribe here.

IRAs at Jyske Bank

It is now easier to invest your liquid IRA funds safely overseas as well.  Jyske Global Asset Management can invest your IRA investments offshore in coordination with GoldStar Trust!

This makes it easier for you to give your IRA International investing and currency diversification.

Here is how the JGAM IRA plan works.   Your US custodian will be GoldStar Trust in Texas. Your offshore custodian bank will be Jyske Bank in Copenhagen (Denmark).  Jyske Global Asset Management will be your asset manager.

This setup is in accordance with IRA regulations. JGAM sends quarterly and annual statements as well as standard IRA statements from GoldStar Trust.

You can get further details from Thomas Fischer at JGAM. Email Thomas at fischer@jgam.com or call toll-free in the USA at 1-866-602-5426

You could not be in better hands.  Alberto was in the Ecuador travel business for more than 10 years and has been our main real estate researcher for three years plus has helped conduct all our previous export expeditions.

Here is Alberto (left) leading our staff at International Living’s Ecuador seminar in March.

We have even purchased a 180 year old hacienda that is a charming hotel to turn into your business center!

Here’s the hotel. This is where we will conduct the course when we are not visiting markets. Rooms are only $59 a night + tax.

Plus we have an experienced English-Spanish speaking business people who live here and can act as your local backup for the business.

This combination makes it possible for you to have your own Ecuadorian import/export business, which can be run from your home or in your own Ecuadorian hideaway you’ll be able to buy with your extra profits.

Timing for such a business has never been better!

Exporting has already created fortunes for a few entrepreneurial individuals. Now because of our knowledge, experience and contacts, a special business is available for you. Until recently, operating an overseas business took a great deal of time and effort to start. This is no longer true.

Technology makes it possible to take your business where opportunity is best and allows you to run this business from anywhere in the world. You can run your export business from an office or at home! The internet makes this more possible than ever before and at the course we’ll share ideas on how to develop and use your website to enhance sales.

The internet is the Colt 45 of business, the great equalizer. If you choose to have your own import-export business you too can let the internet help your business grow for wealth and freedom.

The Ecuador Export Expedition lets you visit the markets plus entitles you to a $499 discount when you attend any of our International Business Made EZ courses that teaches the marketing theory of exporting and running an internet business.

The International Business Made EZ course that I conduct is designed to teach the marketing end of Ecuador exports.  The tour which takes place separately gives you hands on experience in the actual markets.

You can attend our International Business Made EZ course before or after you join the export tour.

This export tour last three days.

Because Merri and I will not be on this tour we have reduced the fee from our normal $999 – $1,399 to only $499 or $749 for  a couple.

You will learn directly from the contacts we introduce to you.

Then you can join Merri and me before or after the tour at one of our International Business Made EZ  courses.  The Business Made EZ course mission is to help you learn how to start, organize and develop your own internet business that can help you in publishing, exports or any type of business.

The tour’s mission  is to help you actually find products that:

#1: Can be sold to easily identified markets.

#2: Can be marked up many times while allowing a fair trade for the indigenous.

#3: Can be imported in a suitcase.

The tour lets you see in a practical way  how to achieve the goals we teach in the course.

On the tour  you learn from tour leaders who have practical experience from the shipments that they have actually incurred in their own Ecuador export business.

You learn the problems encountered and how to avoid them. (This alone will save you far more than the course tuition.)

Which products? On the tour you visit carved wood, architectural and decorative woods designs in San Antonio de Ibarra.

Textiles from Otavalo.

Here is one of the vendors in Otavalo photographed by delegates at an Import-Export course.

Religious Santos and Icons from San Antonio de Ibarra

You will visit many of these places and more so you can start your business directly from the tour.

Before or after the tour, you can attend our International Business Made EZ course (at a $499 discount)  to learn the fundamentals,  where you have visited these places, seen the goods and met contacts who can back you up (or even act as a joint venture partners).

Learn how to enjoy the finest things in life because of international friendships plus how to develop them.

We have developed contacts with top Ecuador businessmen, bankers, accountants, attorneys, marketing experts, business consultants, agents all over the country that can help you, large or small, full or part time.

There you have it, valuable contacts and knowledge about timely and fulfilling business opportunities that you can cash in on now. Regardless of whether you want your business to make millions, or just add excitement and adventure in your life, to reduce tax or even live abroad, the Ecuador Export Tour can help you get involved with something you love and turn after tax costs into tax deductible expenses.

Whether you have a successful business, want a part time business for change or as job security, this course can be of enormous value to you.

The three day course can be combined with our International business and investing courses or taken on its own.

The $499  is nominal compared to the incredible education you gain and the importance of the knowledge for you and your family’s wealth now.

One delegate who attended our Ecuador export expedition wrote:

Our business of selling Ecuador products is still going well. We are now appointing Agents across Australia and should have the whole country covered by mid-August. Our initial shops continue to re-order on a regular basis. The best shops seem to re-order every two weeks.

We have also received inquiry to provide buying services for people in a few other countries. So we will be seriously thinking about starting our own brand name to market globally. If successful, it should help many Ecuadorians.

Another couple who attended this expedition sell the goods they export at flea markets.

They wrote: Good Evening Gary/Merri.  Speaking of a small business, we have opened All American Enterprises, LLC (AAE) which includes selling products from Ecuador at a trade days operation about 200 miles East of Dallas.  I don’t know if we are off to a “bang” but we are sure having fun.  See attached pictures to include our model Consuela trying to look indigenous.

Please tell Merri we have made profit on our inventory and the big sellers are alpaca silver jewelry and Octavalo alpaca ponchos.  We will visit  at the end of September and would like to restock to include blankets/ponchos/throws from Hilana.

Space makes it impossible to explain everything in the course, but I am convinced if you try it, you will find it improves your entire way of life! There has never been a time when the risk of higher tax, greater unemployment and investment dangers were higher in North America , but neither has the opportunity for small businesses abroad been so outstanding.

Here is one of the silver workers we visit.

Todd Smith, another attendee, wrote this:

Recently Gary recommended a printer in Cotacachi, Ecuador, for me to use to print my photographic greeting cards.  I was quite skeptical about doing business in Ecuador, both for the hassle of sending money, shipping the product, and most importantly the quality of the printing.  As a photographer, I am quite picky about printing.  But, after three years of good experience with Gary, I decided to take another risk and try the printer.  The results were outstanding–better than many press jobs I’ve seen in the US, and the price was terrific.

I’ve learned that Gary likes to push his students to try things they thought were too risky.  Gary lives on the cutting edge.  But, interestingly enough, I don’t think he is really a risk-taker, because his feet are always firmly planted on the ground.  I’ve learned over time that I can trust Gary’s thinking, and that he really does come up with some unusual, and very effective, solutions to problems that I’ve tried to solve on my own.

My suggestion is simply to try out Gary.  You may have to risk some money, but my experience has been so positive that feel safe in saying that the risk will be well worth it.  Of the $1000 or so that I invested , I have earned many thousands in return, and have created a lifestyle for myself that is far more fulfilling than anything I had previously.

I did the import/export course last year in Cotacachi, though I was in Ecuador mainly for photography.  While I was there, I met one of Gary’s contacts in the rose business.  We went to his plantation and he was very willing to work with any of Gary’s students to export flowers to the US or Canada.  He showed us prices that appeared to me as if they would form the basis of  a very profitable floral business.  He also explained how the flowers are shipped FedEx directly to you, and they are cut fresh before the shipment.  This means that the flowers you resell will last much longer than those that have been sitting in a florist’s shop forever.  This could be a significant advantage over the competition, and could generate some very satisfied customers.  Sincerely,  Todd Smith

Here I am with Todd Smith trying new tailor made Ecuador suits  that cost $135 to $200…an excellent Ecuador export.

ecuador-exports-bonnie

My name is Bonnie Keough. In March 2006, I went to Ecuador to attend Gary and Merri’s import/export course.

I was hoping to find items to bring back to the States and sell. I love to travel and was looking for business ideas that would enable me to do that.

I had never been to South America (never even considered it) before so it was an adventure. I didn’t know what to expect, but I had been reading Gary’s newsletter for a while and I was impressed with the Scott’s honesty and integrity. They don’t promise overnight success or try to sell you a business opportunity. They share their wealth of experiences, open doors for you and educate you on the possibilities and opportunities available. It’s up to you to implement what you learn.

I found so much more than high quality products in Ecuador, the people I deal with are kind, hard-working folks who truly appreciate my business and I appreciate their honesty and skills. I have returned to Ecuador 6 more times since my first trip and each time I leave I’m anxious to return.

I always personally select all of the items I sell. By doing this, I’ve learned a lot about quality, prices and sources and I enjoy interacting with the people. But it is hard work and not everyone enjoys that aspect of the business. You will have to decide how much you want to participate.

Don’t expect to find mass produced items in Ecuador. If you have an idea for a product, it is a great place to have items custom made. It’s possible to find high quality labor intensive pieces, such as hand knit sweaters or hand woven rugs, at very reasonable prices.

If you have a genuine interest in pursuing an import business, whether in Ecuador or elsewhere, I’m sure you will benefit from the import course. It’s a great introduction to the country and opportunities available there and provides a background on the nuts and bolts of the business. It opened a doorway to a new life for me.

We stress that this is a course combining theory and practicality…but this is a true expedition! You’ll be having fun as you view products, interview, bargain, meet, search and many will even buy. Those who are just looking for a “classroom experience in a hotel” should not attend. Everyone will be out in the field looking and examining and finding. Bonnie.

Cotacachi Spa & Ecuador Web Business

Cotacachi’s (perhaps Ecuador’s)  most famous spa is La Mirage and seeing it could help you own your own Ecuador business.

cotacachi-spa

In a moment, there is a link to some great shots of La Mirage by Todd Smith.

However it is Todd’s success with his web business after attending our course that I want to share.

The global economy is going though a much needed cleanse.    A recent USA Today article reports that census numbers show that a record one in nine U.S. housing units are vacant, including about 3% of owned homes. The Mortgage Bankers Association says more than 2 million homeowners faced foreclosure last year. The median sales price dropped 12%, according to the National Association of Realtors — far more in parts of Arizona, California, Florida and Michigan.

This inventory is delaying any kind of housing recovery and will dampen the job market for some time.  This is especially true because of the lack of demand.

One in nine means that 14 million housing units are vacant. USA Today says: That number does not include an estimated 4.8 million seasonal or vacation homes, most of which are occupied part of the year. The combined vacancy rate of almost 15% is higher than during previous recessions: 11% in 1991 and 9.4% in 1984.

• About 3% of owned homes are vacant. In normal times, “maybe 1% should be vacant.”

This means we should not expect to see any economic recovery soon.

A recent New York Times article entitled “U.S. Is Pressed to Add Billions to Bailouts”  by Edmund L. Andrews, Andrew Ross Sorkin  and Mary Williams Walsh says:  The government faced mounting pressure on Monday to put billions more in some of the nation’s biggest banks, two of the biggest automakers and the biggest insurance company, despite the billions it has already committed to rescuing them.

The government’s boldest rescue to date, its $150 billion commitment for the insurance giant American International Group, is foundering. A.I.G. indicated on Monday it was now negotiating for tens of billions of dollars in additional assistance as losses have mounted.

Separately, the Obama administration confirmed it was in discussions to aid Citigroup, the recipient of $45 billion so far, that could raise the government’s stake in the banking company to as much as 40 percent.

The Treasury Department named a special adviser to work with General Motors and Chrysler, two of Detroit’s biggest automakers, which are seeking $22 billion on top of the $17 billion already granted to them.

All these companies’ mushrooming needs reflect just how hard it is to stanch the flow of losses as the economy deteriorates. Even though the government’s finances are being stretched — and still more aid might be needed in the future — it is being forced to fill the growing holes in the finances of these companies out of fear that the demise of an important company could set off a chain reaction.

This means the government is creatng more money then it has and we are likely to see inflation.

So what can we do?

One is buy real estate in California, Florida and some of the other hard hit states. There will be real bargains.  Merri are headed to Florida as fast as soon as we wrap up our March tours in Ecuador.

Start our own business. No other time offers such great opportunity. The old boys network is slashed. Big business cannot compete and labor has not been so abundant in decades.

This is why Todd Smith sets such a great example.

Todd attended one of our courses on how to self publish and has developed a growing, thriving internet business.

See Todd’s latest emailed message about La Mirage here.

Here are two important points about Todd’ success.

First he already had a successful wedding photography business. However hat type of business did not have the upside potential nor offer the freedom he desired.

Second he was not enjoying the business. The hours and the types of photography did not fit Todd’s desires.  He had a passion to earn in a different type of  photography.

So he turned his passion into profit!

Due to numerous successes like Todd’s and because of  the ideal business conditions created by the economic correction, I have developed a new course... The Tangled Webs We Weave…A Web Based  Business Course

Enroll here $299

You own web business provides enormous freedom.  You can like anywhere you desire…  a Cotacachi business is great. This is a quiet peaceful place without much crime, noise or pollution.    Merri and I  have have a web business that works in Cotacachi, the Blue Ridge of North Carolina or anywhere we choose in the world?

The reason we can have this freedom in business is passion.

I am one of the luckiest guys in the world because my children are continually doing things that I learn from.  This allows me to be a bragging dad and actually share a worthwhile point in the process.

For example Merri and I recently were reminded of the most important secret of business success from our youngest daughter, Eleanor.   Here is a shot of Merri and me riding the Virgina Creeper Trail last summer with Ele.

Cotacachi-business

Eleanor is just 27 but has already built a very successful London based business that not only provides her a six figure income, but gives her the freedom to travel the world.  This last year, she visited us twice in the US plus spent time in China  enjoying the Olympics and made numerous other trips.  She has over four months of each year to travel wherever she desires…and earn as she goes.

While she was last with us, we had a great deal of time to talk and she surprised me by sharing a valuable lessons about business.

The first lesson came when she was telling me about her latest efforts at getting some of her students auditions and roles in London West End shows.  Ele started as an entrepreneur early. She owns a performing arts school in London that teaches dancing,  drama and singing.  Here are some of her students in the production of Aladdin they are currently performing.

New-year-economic-lesson

Ele’s school is a franchised operation…one of about 600.  She is one of the youngest owners yet has one of the top ten busiest schools.

One reason for her success is the enormous energy and passion she puts into her business.  Another reason for  her success is she has a growing reputation for getting her students professional roles in the London theater.

She currently has eight of her students working in London’s West End.

Two are in the Sound of Music at the London Palladium on Argyll Street.

Two are in Rodger and Hammerstein’s Carousel at the Savoy on the Strand.

One is  in Disney’s  Lion King, at the Lyceum Theatre on Wellington Street.

One is in Les Miserables at the Queen’s Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue.

I was a bit surprised at this success and asked her “what is your trick”.  She replied:

“This is very simple.  I give the children who have extra talent free lessons. I bring them to my home and work with them there.”

When I questioned the wisdom of giving away her services as being part of a good business model, she replied:

“This is not about the money, Dad. The thrill of hearing those kids when they call me and tell  they were selected is worth every minute I put into this. I love those calls so much,  I am happy to devote my time and effort.”

This is the secret. Do what you love and figure out how to make money in the process.

In Ele’s case, she has profited indirectly…but the profit is not the purpose.  This is a matter of fulfillment and of the heart.

This has always been an important idea, but grows in importance now.  Our message about the upcoming 2011 disaster showed an economic distortion that is so grave it will force many of us to continue working… or  to work more then expected or… to start working for oneself when an existing job is eliminated.

This problem is so acute and the importance of having more people do what they love is so vital that we have decided to write a new course…on how to develop your own international internet business.

I have now started this course and before I launch it to the public want to make a special offer…that gives you this course free…or more.

Years ago, Merri and I  had 23,000 print readers…micro sized in publishing terms….but very, very profitable for us.  We made millions from this business.  We believe that in this rapidly changing world…small is beautiful.

When money stopped mattering as much, our children were grown, finished with university, we sold our print business and took a year off…lived with a shaman high in the Andes.

Then we morphed into an internet only business.  Our readership began small, with  about 1,600 email readers.  We expected to slow down and smell the roses more.  We even bought an isolated hacienda high in the Andes called Rosaspamba (Place of roses).

As crazy as it seems, we could actually run a business with this small readership and make a profit because our readers are so wonderfully responsive.

Why?  How?

This is what the new course I am creating will teach you….how to have a small, safe, profitable global internet business by creating wonderfully response, fun to be with, like-minded customers.

How small?

Today, our business remains micro sized but we have grown from 1,600 readers to four  main subscription lists consisting of 16,782 subscribers.

How safe?

The downturn of 2008 has not slowed us a bit.   In fact we  are growing faster, in number of subscribers and income, than ever.   December 2008 was our busiest month on the internet ever…by about 50%! January and February 2009 were up 226% over January and February of 2008.  This March we have almost surpassed March 2008 sales in the first ten days.

This is all at  a time when many say the world is economically depressed. Yet our sales are way up and growing almost every month.

How profitable?

Our list and sales are still tiny compared to many of our competitors and associates who make millions a month.   We make tens of thousands…sometimes hundreds.

Yet we have been able to add this extra income with a surprisingly small amount of added overheads.  This number works perfectly for Merri and me…a fun sized readership. In our opinion, this should be the key in business… satisfaction… fulfillment and fun…through service along with the profit.

Yet, profits do matter. Almost every month our internet sales have been rising. In 2008 they rose nearly every month and created a new record for web based sales for us.

These internet sales alone have given us the freedom to live in an isolated Blue Ridge farm during summers and in Ecuador the rest of the year…yet still earn many tens of thousands of extra dollars a month.

Now you can learn everything I do to create this extra income and have fun and fulfillment in a micro publishing business.

The syllabus of this course will help you learn how to find something that is fun, fulfilling and profitable for you to do.

Our growing income is one reason I have decided to create this course.

Second, the economic downturn of 2008 means that more of my readers will need a new way to earn in the years ahead.

Yet the third reason was the straw that made me decide to do this….my webmaster who helped me start this site agreed to co-write the course with me. Merri and I explain what we do in the business.  The writing…the marketing…the product planning and such.   Our webmaster outlines the technical part. How to chose a server…set up a shopping cart…create pay per click systems…send thousands of emails a day.

Though we like to remain small, this does not mean all of our students will.  Our webmaster started with us first but since has grown to be the chief internet consultant for several much larger internet marketing companies that send over a billion emails a year!

We are explaining in the course in detail as we develop it over this year…what I will share and what my webmaster will share as well…how the course will help you.  We are at chapter eight now and I honestly do not know everything what will be in the course.

Previous courses have always evolved as they are written because of the questions that are asked as the lessons are sent.

This is why I want to offer this emailed course (which has not yet be written) now so you can grow with the course as it evolves.

Here is a  special offer.

Earn in Ecuador

Many readers write asking for ways to earn in Ecuador.

They want to come to Ecuador… but need to earn here to stay.

This is a global problem.  More and more people…especially those of my  era…near the age where Westerners think they should retire will need to earn more in Ecuador or somewhere.   The economic downturn has ruined their pension and/or savings.

There is a lot of good in this.  Most of us should want to keep on earning… regardless of where we go or live, Ecuador or not.

Our friend and adviser,  Blaine Watson,  recently sent me an article entitled  “Author/physician Shigeaki Hinohara” written by Judit Kawaguchi that explains why it is good to remain employed well beyond what the norm calls retirement years.

The article says:  At the age of 97 years and 4 months, Shigeaki Hinohara is one of the world’s longest-serving physicians and educators. Hinohara’s magic touch is legendary: Since 1941 he has been healing patients at St. Luke’s International Hospital in Tokyo and teaching at St. Luke’s College of Nursing. After World War II, he envisioned a world-class hospital and college springing from the ruins of Tokyo; thanks to his pioneering spirit and business savvy, the doctor turned these institutions into the nation’s top medical facility and nursing school. Today he serves as chairman of the board of trustees at both organizations. Always willing to try new things, he has published around 150 books since his 75th birthday, including one “Living Long, Living Good” that has sold more than 1.2 million copies. As the founder of the New Elderly Movement, Hinohara encourages others to live a long and happy life, a quest in which no role model is better than the doctor himself.

In the article it explains that the Doctor says that energy comes from feeling good, not from eating well or sleeping a lot.  He says to plan ahead. His schedule is already booked ahead until 2014 with lectures and usual hospital work. In 2016 he plans to attend the Tokyo Olympics and says there is no need to ever retire. The doctor  but if one must, it should be a lot later than 65. The current retirement age was set at 65 half a century ago, when the average life-expectancy in Japan was 68 years and only 125 Japanese were over 100 years old. Today, Japanese women live to be around 86 and men 80, and we have 36,000 centenarians in our country. In 20 years Japan will have about 50,000 people over the age of 100.

Hinohara says. Share what you know.  He  gives 150 lectures a year, some for 100 elementary-school children, others for 4,500 business people.  He usually speaks for 60 to 90 minutes, standing, to stay strong.

This is why Merri, our webmaster and I have created a new course on how to build a web business with a webmaster.  Here is a special offer on this new course

Delegates have been gaining from our Ecuador courses on how to earn in Ecuador or elsewhere… in money and more.

Take Todd Smith as an example.  Todd attended one of our courses on how to earn via internet publishing. He started his own website. This is a photo on his home page.

earn-in-Ecuador

This is a worthwhile read because authenticity and transparency are two of the most important factors for earnings success in your own business.

Knowing our clients can have a dramatic impact on earnings and there is a growing trend of people wanting to see the whole picture.

For example, when people previously went for a cup of coffee they wanted the best coffee, served in the least expensive, fastest, most convenient way.  Now more and more buyers want more.  They want to know where the coffee was grown, what type of coffee… what did the growing process do to the environment…  how were the processors and growers of the coffee treated?

They ask what will the coffee do to the body and environment? Was the cup organic? Is the cup recycled and so forth?

We can see how this is affecting the market place in a Reuters news release some time back entitled, Starbucks Seeks More Socially Responsible Coffee.

This article told how Starbucks had launched an aggressive plan to ensure that its coffee came from environmentally friendly farms paying workers a fair wage.

They were setting up strict rules on everything from forestation to pesticides to labor practices.

Starbucks made this move because they have suffered bad publicity from coffee drinkers who wanted more than just a cup of coffee.

People today:

*See a bigger picture.
*Consume and invest in values not just material value.
*See connections.
*Are highly sensitive to being mislead.
*Are willing to pay a bit more for a whole product.
*Want authenticity.
*Are getting organized.

Micki and George Jacobs attended one of our courses on how to earn in Ecuador and globally just wrote:

We have finally gotten our website up and running for selling Bayardo’s paintings. Our webmaster (like you, he’s our son-in-law), made it attractive but simple to use. If you could mention it sometime in your news letter to get some interest started, George and I would really appreciate it. We really hope to sell enough of them to place regular orders, and maybe even increase the number of paintings ordered if sales take off.   Thanks for any help you can offer us. We hope to see you and Merri when we are down there in late March/early April.
Hugs to both of you, Micki.

Micki and George fell in love with Ecuador, and wanted to buy original art.   The watercolors of Bayardo Monteros stood out above everything else… unbelievable detail in the feathers of the birds he paints was captivating.

Here is an example of his work.

They decided it would be a great idea to regularly buy small batches of his paintings to sell in the U.S. Not only would the extra sales vastly improve Bayardo’s situation and expose his work to a larger audience, but it would also give others a chance to purchase an original piece of Ecuadorian art without the expense of traveling to Ecuador. They started this website, EcuadorianWildlife.com

So whether you want to earn in Ecuador or elsewhere our internet course can help. This is why Merri, our webmaster and I have created a new course on how to build a web business with a webmaster.  Here is a special offer on this new course

Even more important than the money is the great pleasure one can gain.  Malcolm Gladwell’s new book, “Outliers-The Story of Success”, explains what numerous studies have shown.  Those who have a fulfilling business are happier and healthier as well as better off financially.

The three keys for a business to be satisfying are:

#1: Autonomy.

#2: Complexity

#3: A direct relationship between effort and reward.

This is why earning in Ecuador or globally offers such satisfaction.  This method of earning fits all three requirements.

So if you have discovered that due to, what seems like misfortune, you have to work more… be happy. You may live longer, healthier and happier. There are more explanations about why it is good to remain active are below.

Until next message, good earning to you.

Dr Hinohara aso said about longevity:  My inspiration is Robert Browning’s poem “Abt Vogler.” My father used to read it to me. It encourages us to make big art, not small scribbles. It says to try to draw a circle so huge that there is no way we can finish it while we are alive. All we see is an arch; the rest is beyond our vision but it is there in the distance.

I have copied that poem Abt Vogler below:

1  Would that the structure brave, the manifold music I build,
2  Bidding my organ obey, calling its keys to their work,
3 Claiming each slave of the sound, at a touch, as when Solomon willed
4  Armies of angels that soar, legions of demons that lurk,
5  Man, brute, reptile, fly,–alien of end and of aim,
6  Adverse, each from the other heaven-high, hell-deep removed,–
7  Should rush into sight at once as he named the ineffable Name,
8  And pile him a palace straight, to pleasure the princess he loved!

9  Would it might tarry like his, the beautiful building of mine,
10  This which my keys in a crowd pressed and importuned to raise!
11   Ah, one and all, how they helped, would dispart now and now combine,
12   Zealous to hasten the work, heighten their master his praise!
13   And one would bury his brow with a blind plunge down to hell,
14   Burrow awhile and build, broad on the roots of things,
15   Then up again swim into sight, having based me my palace well,
16   Founded it, fearless of flame, flat on the nether springs.

17   And another would mount and march, like the excellent minion he was,
18   Ay, another and yet another, one crowd but with many a crest,
19   Raising my rampired walls of gold as transparent as glass,
20   Eager to do and die, yield each his place to the rest:
21   For higher still and higher (as a runner tips with fire,
22  When a great illumination surprises a festal night–
23  Outlining round and round Rome’s dome from space to spire)
24  Up, the pinnacled glory reached, and the pride of my soul was in sight.

25   In sight? Not half! for it seemed, it was certain, to match man’s birth,
26   Nature in turn conceived, obeying an impulse as I;
27   And the emulous heaven yearned down, made effort to reach the earth,
28   As the earth had done her best, in my passion, to scale the sky:
29   Novel splendours burst forth, grew familiar and dwelt with mine,
30   Not a point nor peak but found and fixed its wandering star;
31   Meteor-moons, balls of blaze: and they did not pale nor pine,
32   For earth had attained to heaven, there was no more near nor far.

33   Nay more; for there wanted not who walked in the glare and glow,
34   Presences plain in the place; or, fresh from the Protoplast,
35   Furnished for ages to come, when a kindlier wind should blow,
36   Lured now to begin and live, in a house to their liking at last;
37   Or else the wonderful Dead who have passed through the body and gone,
38   But were back once more to breathe in an old world worth their new:
39   What never had been, was now; what was, as it shall be anon;
40   And what is,–shall I say, matched both? for I was made perfect too.

41    All through my keys that gave their sounds to a wish of my soul,
42    All through my soul that praised as its wish flowed visibly forth,
43    All through music and me! For think, had I painted the whole,
44    Why, there it had stood, to see, nor the process so wonder-worth:
45    Had I written the same, made verse–still, effect proceeds from cause,
46    Ye know why the forms are fair, ye hear how the tale is told;
47     It is all triumphant art, but art in obedience to laws,
48    Painter and poet are proud in the artist-list enrolled:–

49   But here is the finger of God, a flash of the will that can,
50   Existent behind all laws, that made them and, lo, they are!
51    And I know not if, save in this, such gift be allowed to man,
52    That out of three sounds he frame, not a fourth sound, but a star.
53    Consider it well: each tone of our scale in itself is nought;
54    It is everywhere in the world–loud, soft, and all is said:
55    Give it to me to use! I mix it with two in my thought:
56    And, there! Ye have heard and seen: consider and bow the head!

57    Well, it is gone at last, the palace of music I reared;
58    Gone! and the good tears start, the praises that come too slow;
59    For one is assured at first, one scarce can say that he feared,
60   That he even gave it a thought, the gone thing was to go.
61    Never to be again! But many more of the kind
62    As good, nay, better, perchance: is this your comfort to me?
63   To me, who must be saved because I cling with my mind
64    To the same, same self, same love, same God: ay, what was, shall be.

65    Therefore to whom turn I but to thee, the ineffable Name?
66    Builder and maker, thou, of houses not made with hands!
67    What, have fear of change from thee who art ever the same?
68    Doubt that thy power can fill the heart that thy power expands?
69    There shall never be one lost good! What was, shall live as before;
70    The evil is null, is nought, is silence implying sound;
71     What was good shall be good, with, for evil, so much good more;
72     On the earth the broken arcs; in the heaven, a perfect round.

73     All we have willed or hoped or dreamed of good shall exist;
74    Not its semblance, but itself; no beauty, nor good, nor power
75    Whose voice has gone forth, but each survives for the melodist
76    When eternity affirms the conception of an hour.
77    The high that proved too high, the heroic for earth too hard,
78    The passion that left the ground to lose itself in the sky,
79    Are music sent up to God by the lover and the bard;
80    Enough that he heard it once: we shall hear it by and by.

81     And what is our failure here but a triumph’s evidence
82    For the fulness of the days? Have we withered or agonized?
83    Why else was the pause prolonged but that singing might issue thence?
84    Why rushed the discords in, but that harmony should be prized?
85    Sorrow is hard to bear, and doubt is slow to clear,
86    Each sufferer says his say, his scheme of the weal and woe:
87    But God has a few of us whom he whispers in the ear;
88    The rest may reason and welcome; ’tis we musicians know.

89     Well, it is earth with me; silence resumes her reign:
90     I will be patient and proud, and soberly acquiesce.
91     Give me the keys. I feel for the common chord again,
92     Sliding by semitones till I sink to the minor,–yes,
93     And I blunt it into a ninth, and I stand on alien ground,
94    Surveying awhile the heights I rolled from into the deep;
95    Which, hark, I have dared and done, for my resting-place is found,
96    The C Major of this life: so, now I will try to sleep.

Cotacachi Exports

Cotacachi export opportunities showed up in many ways last week when the communities around Cotacachi held a fair in the village square.

Join our Import-Export Expedition in Cotacachi  …to the Crafts Trails.  You’ll visit the markets, famous and obscure; visit the known and unknown…those who hand make, hand craft one of a kind goods. We’ll meet the artists, designers, creators, craftsmen, wholesalers and visit them in their workshops, homes and markets.

After 12 years of traveling, digging, exploring and enjoying ourselves all over Ecuador ; we invite the few of you who want to really get out there and experience the Export Trail. You’ll gain exciting ways to increase your security, independence, freedom, wealth and well-being while helping this very deserving country and its indigenous people.

Improve the quality of your life, expand your horizons and reduce the tax you pay as you increase asset protection by having an overseas company and overseas income!

Small at home export businesses can set us free.

When in Ecuador Merri and I will greet each dawn with walk through gentle Cotacachi, a village filled with peace.that seems to just get better and better. Here is one of the many lamp lined avenues shining in the morn.

We are all so fortunate that we can enjoy this and make money as well.

There is such satisfaction in having a business that allows us to travel and live in places we choose. Such freedom..such fun not to mention the profit arising each day and finding yet more money rolling in.

Join other like minded souls this year in Ecuador to learn how to gain freedom and self fulfillment through international investing and business.

See opportunity everywhere in Ecuador.

In wood products.

In Ecuador’s art.

In jewelry

And all types of exports.

A silver lining comes from Merri’s and my extensive travels throughout Ecuador . We have searched, scoured and scrounged our way across this nation to find special products and goods that you can export in a suitcase and make outstanding profits.

You’ll go to the high Andes . You’ll see products from Zuleta where they create handmade “green” cotton-one-of-a-kind tableware, shirts, specialty items. You’ll travel everyday to see different markets, crafts people and masters who create special products that will make your eyes gleam with delight…both for their uniqueness and salability.

In addition, over the years we’ve combined this knowledge and experience with contacts in the form of American and European readers who now live in Ecuador. Working with them we have set up office and business facilities to create an export support service that we can now offer to you.

Exporting has already created fortunes for a few sophisticated individuals.

The export expedition combines theory, practice and contacts.

Ecuador is an incredible bargain basement business opportunity now.

Many of our readers enjoy Ecuador, have developed export products and some have even moved to Ecuador and started businesses and we have used this fact to create a system that can help you develop your own export business.

You can gain independence, have more income, security and enjoy overseas travel. This course is not pie in the sky theory. The knowledge you gain comes from years of experience and from our extensive research plus out reader’s current global export activity.

The course is designed so your international business will be easy to start and keep going (with the help of the contacts if you choose).

The Export Trail is an extensive five day course.

Yet the course is only $999 – $1,399 for a couple. You will learn directly from the contacts we introduce to you.

You’ll learn why a business in Ecuador is the ultimate lawsuit and tax protection and why global businesses are immune to recessions. You need not suffer during recession, inflation or during market crashes. Fatal economic flaws which ruin others create your profits for you.

From the beginning, the course gives ways to expand your knowledge about having a business in Ecuador plus provides a network (active business people and investors in 82 countries) that can help you find partners, sell products and services and raise money abroad! The goal of the course is to give you more than just knowledge. You are shown specific businesses you can start now and are backed up with follow up support in Ecuador .

The course brings you real, usable knowledge and the after course support so you can put the knowledge you gain into action right away.

The course takes nothing for granted and walks you step-by-step through every aspect of having a business in Ecuador . One lesson for example shows why this is an idea whose time has arrived. Learn the theory of setting up your business, whether to turn your passion into profit (by starting a new business in a field you love) and how to use existing businesses that we have spotted for you to expand).

You will learn how to become involved in an area where your expertise or interest gives you an advantage. Next you will learn about suitcase exporting that avoids shipping and storage. Merri and I have been importing this way for years. We have researched the facts and figures and are using them now.

Our goal is to help you find products that:

#1: Can be sold to easily identified markets.

#2: Can be marked up many times while allowing a fair trade for the indigenous.

#3: Can be imported in a suitcase.

The course gives you practical tips on how to achieve these goals in three ways.

You share the practical experience from the shipments that we have actually incurred in our own business. You learn the problems we encountered and how to avoid them. (This alone will save you far more than the course tuition.)

One incredibly valuable lesson is on how to buy at the source… and how sometimes it is better to not buy at the source. You will also learn how to establish your market… how to sell your inventory and to whom. How to know your product, your market, your source, and your competition.

Most important you will learn how to market your products abroad.

Which products? The Import/Export Expedition has already identified carved wood, architectural and decorative woods designs in San Antonio de Ibarra.

Textiles from Otavalo.

Here is one of the vendors in Otavalo photographed by delegates at our last Import-Export course.

Religious Santos and Icons from San Antonio de Ibarra

Jewelry from San Goqui.

Paintings from all over Ecuador.

Here is an example of one type of art that a previous course delegate is having made from recycled paper and a metallic paint. Their Reiki symbol line of art is selling as fast as they can get it produced.

Leathers in Cotacachi.

Here are flowers I imported that were grown in Imbabura.

ecuador-roses

I regularly import roses from Ecuador at a fraction of the price you normally pay. Here I am with 250 roses we had delivered to our home in North Carolina for our own use.

See how to import Ecuador Valentine roses here

You will visit many of these places and more so you can start your business directly from the course after you have learned the fundamentals, visited these places, seen the goods and learned how and meet contacts who can back you up (or even act as a joint venture partners).

Learn how to enjoy the finest things in life because of international friendships plus how to develop them.

The course helps you choose the business you want. Many professionals look for new beginnings, turning hobbies to profits. For example you’ll learn how to set up tours for golfing, fishing, horse riding and other hobbies can be successful businesses. The contacts alone are worth ten times the cost of the course.

We have developed contacts with top businessmen, bankers, accountants, attorneys, marketing experts, business consultants, agents all over the country that can help you, large or small, full or part time.

There you have it, valuable contacts and knowledge about timely and fulfilling business opportunities that you can cash in on now. Regardless of whether you want your business to make millions, or just add excitement and adventure in your life, to reduce tax or even live abroad, the Import/Export Expedition can help you get involved with something you love and turn after tax costs into tax deductible expenses. Whether you have a successful business, want a part time business for change or as job security, this course can be of enormous value to you.

The week long course is only $999 ($1,499 for a couple). This is nothing compared to the incredible education you gain and the importance of the knowledge for you and your family’s wealth now.

One delegate who attended our Ecuador export expedition wrote:

“Our business of selling Ecuador products is still going well.

If successful, it should help many Ecuadorians.”

Another  couple who attended this expedition sell the goods they export at flea markets.

They wrote: “Good Evening Gary/Merri.  Speaking of a small business, we have opened All American Enterprises, LLC (AAE) which includes selling products from Ecuador at a trade days operation about 200 miles East of Dallas.  I don’t know if we are off to a “bang” but we are sure having fun.  See attached pictures to include our model Consuella trying to look indigenous.

Please tell Merri we have made profit on our inventory and the big sellers are alpaca silver jewelry and Octovalo alpaca ponchos.  We will visit  at the end of September and would like to restock to include blankets/ponchos/throws from Hilana. “

“Recently Gary recommended a printer in Cotacachi, Ecuador, for me to use to print my photographic greeting cards.

Here is Bonnie Keogh who attended the export expedition enjoying an open air breakfast at El Meson de las Flores, the center of our expeditions. Bonnie wrote:

ecuador-exports-bonnie

“My name is Bonnie Keough.

Bonnie”

Merri and I love our lives in North Carolina’s mountains but autumn’s frosty bite has arrived. The trees along the creek are golden now.

Ecuador-exports-reason

Instead of sitting in the cold and gray we move to Ecuador’s Pacific coast and Cotacachi, enjoying warm, sunny weather at unbelievably low prices.

Many who join us pay for their trips with Ecuador products they buy and export. One delegate who just visited told us he bought 150 Ecuador shawls at $1.50 and exported them to sell at $19.95. He paid for his entire trip and made a small profit.

At our Ecuador exports course we look at how to combine ideas and products to make them worth more. For example here I combined Ecuadorian carpets with Ecuadorian carved wood frames to make Ecuadorian art.
