The Power of Profit in Sound

There is a power of profit in sound.

Sound is important wherever you go… this is why pronunciation is so vital in a language.

Here is a really important lesson about sound in Ecuador that Merri and I learned the hard way.  This will apply to any Spanish language country.  We found in our original travels often when we arrived… though we had made the reservation… the hotel did not have it.  This usually happened late at night (or in the wee hours of the morn) when the most junior staff were at the check in desk.

This puzzled us until we realized about the power of sound.  Our last name is Scott.  The Spanish language has no way to pronounce a double consonant link this. A Spanish speaker without training simply cannot say or even think in terms of Scott.  To them they would need to hear  Escott  pronounced not something hard like the double consonants of SCOTT.  This is compared to Spanish or Espanol…much softer… So the check in desk was always looking for our reservation under E for ESCOTT  not SCOTT…which doesn’t exist in Spanish.

Smith is pronounced ASmeeth and seen as Esmith.  Recently a reader named Lile arrived early in the morn and found he did not have a room.   Had he stated that he was Senor “LeeLay”  I am guessing the reservation was there.

Here is a tip we use on solving this sound problem.  “Just write your name and show it to the desk clerk”.

Correct pronunciation is so important in a language that we use only native born Spanish speakers as pronunciation coaches in our Super thinking  + Spanish courses. More on that in a moment.

First, here is even more important deeper wisdom about the power of sound and how you can use it to to live better… retire anywhere, anytime but still have plenty of income earned in a gratifying low stress way.

A recent BBC News article entitled “Stonehenge design was ‘inspired by sounds”  by Jonathan Amos, a science correspondent, shares a really provocative thought about the power of sound when it says:  Music could have been an inspiration for the design of Stonehenge, according to an American researcher.

Steven Waller’s intriguing idea is that ancient Britons could have based the layout of the great monument, in part, on the way they perceived sound.

He has been able to show how two flutes played in a field can produce an auditory illusion that mimics in space the position of the henge’s pillars.

Mr Waller presented the idea at the AAAS meeting in Vancouver, Canada.

He told the BBC: “My theory is that the ancient Britons, when they were hearing two pipers in a field, were experiencing sound wave interference patterns, where in certain locations as you walked around the pair of pipers, you would hear loud or quiet zones.

“If you could look at it from an overhead view, it would look like the spokes of a wheel. And, as you walk around the circle, every time you come to one of these sound-wave cancellation points, it feels like there is this massive invisible object in front of you.

“Put all this ‘vision in your mind’ together and it forms a Stonehenge-like structure.”

Mr Waller is an expert in “archaeoacoustics”, which examines the role sound might have played in ancient cultures.

The phenomenon of interference leads to amplified and silenced regions. There is a link to the entire article below.

This phenomenon of sound can help us learn how to tap into unimaginable intelligence.  Here is why.

The influence is subtle – yes. The impact is more subtle than perhaps the color of the room you are born in… less than the skill of the doctor or midwife (or lack thereof) attending the birth… the weather outside… room  temperature, etc… but the influence is there.

Plus in many ways subtle can be more powerful than not-so-subtle.

Subtle is powerful because nothing ever rests.  Everything is rustling in nature’s gentle vibration so everything has a push pull impact on everything else at some subtle level.  For example you’ll see in a moment how one photon can influence a frog’s eye from a distance of 60 trillion miles!

This connection of everything with everything else is really important because it is a driving force in the universe.

All existence in the universe is a swirling mass of energy.  Form is created by density and speed of energy and the vibration of atoms and molecules, along with the impact of environmental forces (everything else).

All matter is vibrating energy as are all emotions and thoughts.  Thus all thought, reason, emotion, will or desire are accompanied by vibratory rates, which may be lowered or raised by external forces… such as the planets.

In the same way that the vibration of a musical note can affect the atoms and molecules in a mirror and cause it to shatter, so it is with planetary resonance.

According to Dr Percy Seymour, a Theoretical Astrophysicist, resonance makes it possible for a radio telescope to tune into specific vibrations in the Andromeda Galaxy (14 million, million, million miles away) and accounts for the Solar System playing a symphony of vibrations on the magnetic field of the Earth.  If so, then even small fluctuating forces can have large consequences.   This is the main tenet of astrology, personalities of individuals are related to the state of the Solar System at the time of birth and their feelings and thoughts are influenced by the motion and position of the planets.

There is a resonance from the tugs of the tide.  There is a resonance from the hot gases trapped in the magnetic field of the Sun and Earth.  There is resonance in the fluctuations of the Earth’s magnetic field. There is resonance in the reflected sunlight from the moon that waxes and wanes.  All these frequencies have an impact on the electrical activity of the neural network in the brain. Resonance of frequency (harmonics) is the celestial link to the terrestrial form.

The study of the harmonics of cosmic periods or resonant theory (harmonics) can help us dramatically boost access to the wisdom we possess but do not know how to reach.

The study of resonance explains why we attract certain events, or people, to us who reflect the state of our consciousness. Thus, when we are angry we are more likely to attract the violence or car accident which we are resonating with. More positively, it is the explanation for miraculous events in that we ‘entrain’ ourselves to good unfolding when our thoughts are constantly kept at the higher vibration, or frequency, of love and happy outcomes.

Dr. Seymour says in his book  “The Scientific Basis of Astrology” that the basic principles of western science comes from a total misunderstanding of resonance and an appalling lapse in their understanding of the methodology, philosophy and history of science itself.

Infinite Knowledge in the Quantum Interference Pattern

This resonance is a never ending part of quantum reality and one aspect of light and sound can show us how tap into unbelievable wisdom.

David Deutsche an Israeli-British physicist at the University of Oxford laid the foundations of the quantum theory of computation and made it comprehensible to the general public, notably in his book “The Fabric of Reality” which helps us understand our quantum reality though the frequencies in the range we call light. (All bolds in the excerpts are mine).

This information also relates ot sound.

Here are excerpts from “The Fabric of Reality”:  In his popular Royal Institution lectures on science, Michael Faraday used to urge his audiences to learn about the world by considering what happens when a candle burns. I am going to consider an electric torch (or flashlight) instead. This is quite fitting, for much of the technology of an electric torch is based on Faraday’s discoveries.

Deutsche describes an experiment that shows how light is at the core of quantum physics.

His books says: Imagine an electric torch switched on in an otherwise dark room. Suppose that the light of a torch passes through two successive small holes in otherwise opaque screens, as shown in Figure 2.4, and that the emerging light falls on a third screen beyond. Our question now is this: if the experiment is repeated with ever smaller holes and with ever

FIGURE 2.4 Making a narrow beam by passing light through two successive holes.

quantum-experiment

Can the illuminated region between the second and third screens  be confined to an arbitrarily narrow cone? In goldsmiths’ terminology, we are now asking something like ‘how “ductile” is light’ — how fine a thread can it be drawn into? Gold can be drawn into threads one ten-thousandth of a millimetre thick.

It turns out that light is not as ductile as gold! Long before the holes get as small as a ten-thousandth of a millimetre, in fact even with holes as large as a millimetre or so in diameter, the light begins noticeably to rebel. Instead of passing through the holes in straight lines, it refuses to be confined and spreads out after each hole. And as it spreads, it ‘frays’. The smaller the hole is, the more the light spreads out from its straight-line path. Intricate patterns of light and shadow appear.

The book then goes onto show that a pattern like this would appear.

quantum idea

Then Deutsche continues:  If light travelled in straight lines, the pattern in Figure 2.6 would consist simply of a pair of bright bands one-fifth of a millimetre apart (too close to distinguish on this scale), with sharp edges and with the rest of the screen in shadow. But in reality the light bends in such a way as to make many bright bands and dark bands, and no sharp edges at all.

Now, what sort of shadow is cast if we cut a second, identical pair of slits in the barrier, interleaved with the existing pair, so that we have four slits at intervals of one-tenth of a millimetre? We might expect the pattern to look almost exactly like Figure 2.6.

quantum-experiment

After all, the first pair of slits, by itself, casts the shadows in Figure 2.6, and as I have just said, the second pair, by itself, would cast the same pattern, shifted about a tenth of a  millimetre to the side — in almost the same place. We even know that light beams normally pass through each other unaffected. So the two pairs of slits together should give essentially the same pattern again, though twice as bright and slightly more blurred.

In reality, though, what happens is nothing like that. The real shadow of a barrier with four straight, parallel slits is shown in Figure 2.7(a). For comparison I have repeated, below it, the illustration of the two-slit pattern (Figure 2.7(b)). Clearly, the four-slit shadow is not a combination of two slightly displaced two-slit shadows, but has a new and more complicated pattern. In this pattern there are places, such as the point marked X, which are dark on the four-slit pattern, but bright on the two-slit pattern. These places were bright when there were two slits in the barrier, but went dark when we cut a second pair of slits for the light to pass through. Opening those slits has interfered with the light that was previously arriving at X.

quatum-light

So, adding two more light sources darkens the point X; removing them illuminates it again. How? One might imagine two photons heading towards X and bouncing off each other like billiard balls. Either photon alone would have hit X, but the two together interfere with each other so that they both end up elsewhere. I shall show in a moment that this explanation cannot be true. Nevertheless, the basic idea of it is inescapable: something must be coming through that second pair of slits to prevent the light from the first pair from

So, whatever causes interference behaves like light.

What should we expect to happen when these experiments are performed with only one photon at a time?

But what we surely could not observe is any place on the screen, such as X, that receives photons when two slits are open, but which goes dark when two more are opened.

Yet that is exactly what we do observe. However sparse the photons are, the shadow pattern remains the same. Even when the experiment is done with one photon at a time, none of them is ever observed to arrive at X when all four slits are open. Yet we need only close two slits for the flickering at X to resume.

So, if the photons do not split into fragments, and are not being deflected by other photons, what does deflect them? When a single photon at a time is passing through the apparatus, what can be coming through the other slits to interfere with it?

Since different interference patterns appear when we cut slits at other places in the screen, provided that they are within the beam, shadow photons must be arriving all over the illuminated part of the screen whenever a tangible photon arrives. Therefore there are many more shadow photons than tangible ones. How many? Experiments cannot put an upper bound on the number, but they do set a rough lower bound. In a laboratory the largest area that we could conveniently illuminate with a laser might be about a square metre, and the smallest manageable size for the holes might be about a thousandth of a millimetre. So there are about 1012 (one trillion) possible hole-locations on the screen. Therefore there must be at least a trillion shadow photons accompanying each tangible one.

Thus we have inferred the existence of a seething, prodigiously complicated, hidden world of shadow photons.

Interference is not a special property of photons alone. Quantum theory predicts, and experiment confirms, that it occurs for every sort of particle. So there must be hosts of shadow neutrons accompanying every tangible neutron, hosts of shadow electrons.

It follows that reality is a much bigger thing than it seems, and most of it is invisible. The objects and events that we and our instruments can directly observe are the merest tip of the iceberg.

For similar reasons, we might think of calling the shadow particles, collectively, a parallel universe, for they too are affected by tangible particles only through interference phenomena. But we can do better than that. For it turns out that shadow particles are partitioned among themselves in exactly the same way as the universe of tangible particles is partitioned from them. In other words, they do not form a single, homogeneous parallel universe vastly larger than the tangible one, but rather a huge number of parallel universes, each similar in composition to the tangible one, and each obeying the same laws of physics, but differing in that the particles are in different positions in each universe.

A remark about terminology. The word ‘universe’ has traditionally been used to mean ‘the whole of physical reality’. In that sense there can be at most one universe. We could stick to that definition, and say that the entity we have been accustomed to calling ‘the universe’ — namely, all the directly perceptible matter and energy around us, and the surrounding space — is not the whole universe after all, but only a small portion of it. Then we should have to invent a new name for that small, tangible portion. A new word, multiverse, has been coined to denote physical reality as a whole.

Thus we have reached the conclusion of the chain of reasoning that begins with strangely shaped shadows and ends with parallel universes.

The quantum theory of parallel universes is not the problem, it is the solution. It is not some troublesome, optional interpretation emerging from arcane theoretical considerations. It is the explanation — the only one that is tenable — of a remarkable and counter-intuitive reality.

Many of those Davids are at this moment writing these very words. Some are putting it better.  Others have gone for a cup of tea.

Desutsche goes on to explain how every aspect of our universe is impacted by trillions of shadow universes and that our universe is a shadow universe to trillions of universes.

Imagine… we are… every fiber of our being… and all we see and hear and feel is composed of… and connected to… and in touch with… everything in our universe… and trillions more universes!

Here is my theory on how we can use this knowledge to fine tune our thinking and integrate it with our intuition:

Our beta works in four wave forms… beta, alpha, theta and delta.

The beta waves tap into the local news.  This is the part of our being that takes care of the here and now…the space around us.  These brain waves dominate our logical thinking.

Our alpha waves connect us to the regional news…a much deeper and broader area of intelligence too vast for our prefrontal logical brain to compute on its own. When we tap into alpha we get intuitive creative flashes we could never just think up logically.

Theta connect brain waves connect with the global news…an even deeper vaster level of intelligence and finally we reach delta.

Delta waves are our connection to the universal news right down to our quantum state and perhaps trillions of shadow universes. These are the brain waves that allow us to dream and do multi things in varied places combining the past and future all at the same time!

This is an intelligence so vast that we cannot even imagine it.  This is yota-yota yotabytes of data… compared to our brains that process at 64K.   We must be in a dream state where the physical boundaries strip away.  In delta we can be in two places at once, know all things and even fly… yet stil be in the ground at the same time… full potentiality.

When we allow these waves to interconnect freely with our logic and have a way to gear the data down into usable form, we gain unimaginable intellect.  Many would say we are in a super state or when processing information in this way we could describe ourselves as being “in the zone”.

Assuming the theory that Stonehenge was built around harmonic interference patterns we need to thank our ancestors for understanding and sharing this knowing in such a durable way.

We can use this knowledge of the ancients to enhance our understanding so our mental and physical abilities improve.  We can gain inner improvements… greater flexibility… more intelligence… broader perspective… the ability to see what we know but did not know.   These are keys that allow us to tap into a power of knowledge for greater wealth.

This is the type of knowing that allows us to retire anytime from the rat race and live and do what we truly desire.

So Destiny Does Not Leave Us Behind

Demographic destiny is a major “tide in the affairs of all men”.  When that tide shifts, we must have caution that this destiny does not leave us behind.

Why Spanish?   Our destiny is wrapped up in Spanish and this fact  is summed up in the title of a March, 5, 2012 article entitled “Why Latino Voters Will Swing the 2012 Election”

glenn

Delegates having fun at our Super Thinking + Spanish course in Mt. Dora.

Actually one phrase in this six page article says it all… “Demography is political destiny.

Demographics show us that the Latin American population in the USA is growing faster than any other. This is the youngest and is destined to be one of the most dynamic markets.

The article says (underlines and bolds are mine): For the better part of two decades, social scientists have been predicting that a Latino population boom would one day transform national politics.

Latinos now account for more than half of U.S. population growth and one in four American newborns.  They make up about 16% of the country today and will account for 30% by 2050. But Obama’s aides care little about the out-year projections. They believe that Latino votes could be decisive in 2012, and they have been quietly building a national strategy to make that happen. Arizona, of all places, is the testing ground.

In short… from a business point of view the Latins are the action.

In terms of politics the here and now is vital because of the electoral system. The article continues: The battle lines were drawn decades ago. In every presidential contest since 1992, Republicans have won, at minimum, about a quarter of the Latino vote, and Democrats have won at least half. Up for grabs in most years is the remaining 25%. If Obama gets the vast majority of it in November, that could put him over the top in closely fought Colorado, Nevada, Florida and Arizona, potentially delivering an electoral-college victory even if he loses Indiana, Wisconsin and Ohio. Republicans by contrast, seem to have done everything in their power to alienate these voters, concentrating instead on wooing the more anti-immigration wing of their party.

Then we gain a great clue from the article when it shows us the importance of speaking and understanding Spanish:   The first rule for winning the Latino vote is to realize it’s a voter bloc in name only. There is a common ancestral language that binds nationalities, family histories and geographic allegiances. But that’s about it. A recently naturalized Mexican in Los Angeles is more likely to vote Democratic than a fourth-generation immigrant in New Mexico, who is more likely to be liberal than a 65-year-old Miami Cuban, whose 23-year-old daughter is more likely than her father to have voted for Obama in 2008.

Here is the trend. The Latino market will grow more than any other in the USA for the next 40 years.  There is perhaps only one major and real connection of the dots…. Spanish!

Last year, the Democrats ran Spanish-language TV ads pushing the President’s jobs plan and knowing Spanish will grow in importance in North America.  From a business and lifestyle in the USA point of view alone… we gain a huge advantage when we speak Spanish.

One way to avoid being left behind is to become the one in a thousand North American who can communicate in Spanish and English.

A recent message mentioned an article at www.livescience.com article entitled “CIA Seeks Anyone Who Can Speak 2 languages” explains why most North Americans never learn Spanish.  We share more from this very important message that says (bolds are mine):  WASHINGTON, D.C. — Many Americans don’t learn a second or a third language from birth, let alone a language that the CIA or U.S. Foreign Service might want. The situation has forced U.S. government agencies to learn how to cultivate the most talented second-language speakers from among college students with little to no other-language expertise.

But experts who help select and train raw talent also see an opportunity in the mass of recruits who start out speaking only English. That’s because the U.S. represents a living laboratory for observing how adult brains change over time as they struggle to adapt to the new grammar and vocabulary of a second language.

“In U.S. education, we don’t develop early bilinguals,” said Catherine Doughty, a language expert at the University of Maryland. “We’re dealing with monolinguals or people who have only studied foreign language, so that they don’t really have any proficiency.”

Doughty spoke as part of a panel on Feb. 19 during the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) conference in Washington, D.C. She and other speakers described the typical U.S. second-language program as being a series of disjointed classes where students often repeated what they had learned before.

“Imagine math [programs] where the middle school says, ‘We don’t have any idea about what you studied,’ so you learn it again. It’s the same with high school,” said Robert O. Slater, director of the U.S. National Security Education Program.

Imagine math [programs] where the middle school says, ‘We don’t have any idea about what you studied,’ so you learn it again. It’s the same with high school,” said Robert O. Slater, director of the U.S. National Security Education Program.

Finding the best

Government agencies aren’t alone in trying to recruit multilingual speakers; U.S. corporations covet such skills for doing business in the era of globalization. Some companies have asked language research centers, such as the one headed by Doughty, for help in training the most promising employees.

This article shows how being multi lingual can help you succeed in North America as well as in Spanish speaking countries.

The article also shows how learning a second language provides you an even more powerful tool than the language… a more flexible mind!

Improved mental flexibility is of growing importance because another major tide in our destiny is an increasingly rapid pace of change. This acceleration requires more plasticity of mind if we do not want to be left behind.

The livescience CIA article makes this important point when it says:  Doughty and her colleagues used tests to train up cognitive processes related to language learning, such as the ability to hold information in the brain while using it for learning. They then confirmed that the training’s effects left a lasting impression in the brains of candidates even after several months.

Changes in the brain

At least one panel member saw a silver lining to the late language-learning challenge.

Osterhout’s lab has used electrodes placed on the scalp to measure the electrical activity created by the signals of brain cells. That allows the researchers to see differences in the brain patterns among language learners and fluent speakers – and to find some surprising results.

Repeated studies of French language students showed that their brains responded differently to real French words compared with fake words after just two weeks of classes, even if the students themselves could not tell such words apart.

“After 32 weeks of instruction, [the brain patterns] are almost indistinguishable from native French speakers even though you would not confuse them with native French speakers,” Osterhout said during the panel session.

Instead, the fastest learners showed both the greatest motivation to learn and a willingness to use English at every opportunity despite being bad at it (at first).

“From knowing nothing to a little bit, [there are] huge changes in the brain,” Osterhout pointed out.”[From] knowing a little to knowing a lot, [it is] much more subtle.”

This is why our Super Thinking + Spanish course gets delegates speaking and writing Spanish sentences from the very first day.

This is also why I have posted a single at Amazon.com about “Ring Chewing”  a meditative exercise done while eating, that acts as a precursor to all other physical and metal exercises.

The best way to beginning learning Spanish is in a state of relaxed concentration and the first  step to this state… the elimination of stress.

A universal Tao article explains why the Ring Muscles are so important when it says:  There is in the human body a system of muscles that is the source of life’s fundamental processes. These are the ring muscles. There are ring muscles in various parts of the body, both internally and externally. It is their coordinated and harmonious contraction and relaxation that initiates breathing, digestion, circulation, elimination, and all muscular motion. There is nothing in the human body that is not affected by the ring muscles.

The ring muscles are a form of the ancient system that is the basis for all of animal life, from the simplest amoeba to the highly complex human. They are connected to the most primitive part of the human brain, the part of the brain that is responsible for the most essential functions of the body.

In a healthy body, all of the ring muscles contract and relax simultaneously.  If they do not work together, some thing goes wrong in the body. Many of us are so unaware of the functioning of this basic system that we cannot even sense it-but it is there, nevertheless. If we work at getting in touch with our bodies, we can strengthen and learn to control these muscles and, through this, improve our physical and mental health.

There is a lot of science backing this statement because the smooth muscles (another world for ring muscles) control our breathing (ring muscles are related to the diaphragm), nerve functions and blood flow.

For example a paper at the advanced physiology website entitled  “LABORATORY DEMONSTRATION OF VASCULAR SMOOTH MUSCLE FUNCTION USING RAT AORTIC RING SEGMENTS” by R. J. Gonzales, R. W. Carter and N. L. Kanagy explains a lab exercise that studies vascular ring muscles says:  This laboratory exercise uses a simple preparation and a straightforward protocol to illustrate many of the basic principles of vascular biology covered in an introductory physiology course. The design of this laboratory allows students to actively participate in an exercise demonstrating the regulation of arterial tone by endothelial and extrinsic factors.

Smooth muscle cell physiology is a topic represented in major medical physiology textbooks as a small section of muscle physiology. However, this is a rap- idly changing, complex area of research that has seen recent significant advances impacting many diverse scientific fields.

In the vasculature, the radius of a blood vessel is altered by contraction of VSM cells (11). Thus it is possible to predict the effect of stimuli on vascular resistance and blood pressure by observing contraction of VSM in isolated preparations.

In non medical English this means that ring muscles have a profound effect on blood pressure.

The paper then says:  Relaxation of the smooth muscle cells cannot occur in the absence of active tone.g

Health and balance require well toned ring muscles.   Since the ring muscles contract and relax simultaneously if we exercise one ring muscle, we exercise them all!

Ring muscles are smooth muscle providing the contractile force for the internal organs and is controlled by the autonomic nervous system. Smooth muscle cells are spindle-shaped and each contains a single nucleus.

Ring muscles are sphincter muscles around the eyes, mouth, urinary canal and anus. They are connected to the diaphragm, and affects the digestive systems, blood vessels, nerves, breathing, urine, sexual organs and all the body’s muscles.

A ring muscle imbalance in one affects all and the related bodily system.  Balance for all can be attained by activating any one ring muscle. Exercise while chewing creates chain reactions that balance the body’s entire system.

This is because at the end of the esophagus near the mouth is a ring of muscle called the upper esophageal sphincter (UES) that is involved in the digestive process.

Chewing impacts our ring muscles and the ring muscles are the key muscles to strength, longevity and health.

Learn seven little known but undeniably easy breathing, eating and digestive exercises that provide a cost free way to improve life, health and bring weight loss.

The report “Power of the Key Muscles” shows how the ring muscles control life’s fundamental processes and are a key to good health and easy weight loss.  They are catalysts that power many human functions and all the other muscles in the body.

Fifty years ago it was discovered that when sphincter (key ring) muscles around the eyes and mouth are exercised correctly…miracles take place.

The ring muscles contract and relax simultaneously and kick start good health.

One of the techniques in this report works so well it has been recognized by all HMOs in Israel…. though ignored in the Western World.

Learn Spanish in Three Days ONLINE

Instant $110 discount on the course!

The “Learn Spanish in Three Day Course” is now available online.

Read below to see why we are offering our Super Spanish course online for the first time.

Speaking Spanish is a huge benefit on its own.  You can become one of the rare North Americans who can get along in Spanish speaking countries.  You can be one of the special people who can communicate with 10 million non-English speakers in the USA.  Spanish is the second most used language in the USA.  There are more Spanish speakers than speakers of Chinese, French, German, Italian, Hawaiian, and the Native American languages combined.  According to the Census Bureau, Spanish is the primary language of nearly 50 million people in the US.  This is the largest Spanish-speaking community outside of Mexico. Only half of these speakers also speak English “very well,” and 19% do not speak Spanish at all.

You can tap into all this potential when you speak Spanish.  Yet there are more benefits.

An article in England’s leading newspaper, the Telegraph, entitled “Why learn a foreign language? Benefits of bilingualism” (1) sum up the biggest benefit of learning a second language and increased intelligence.  The article says: “Learning a foreign language is more than just a boost to your CV or handy for traveling.  It will make you smarter, more decisive and even better at English.  Physiological studies have found that speaking two or more languages is a great asset to the cognitive process.  The brains of bilingual people operate differently than single language speakers, and these differences offer several mental benefits.”

The article then explains studies that show seven cognitive advantages gained from learning a foreign language.

#1:  You become smarter
#2:  You build multitasking skills
#3:  You stave off Alzheimer’s and dementia
#4:  Your memory improves
#5:  You become more perceptive
#6:  Your decision-making skills improve
#7:  You improve your English

Does it sound impossible to learn Spanish in three days?  Yes, it is impossible when you try to learn Spanish in the old, traditional way.

Though you may choose to take more time using this course to learn Spanish, thousands of our readers have learned at our Spanish courses.

There is a scientific method of learning… proven and described in numerous best selling books that create educational jumps by making education natural, easy and fun.   This course works because it is education without stress!

This method was created and refined by the Bulgarian educational master, Georgi Lozanov, who transformed the entire Soviet educational system to such a degree that this third world country beat the USA into space.

Merri was lucky to be one of a handful of students outside of Bulgaria who were allowed to be taught this system in the early 70s.  She practiced this unique and remarkable form of education for  four decades. It was a delight!

Merri and I began integrating these techniques with other shamanic and educational tactics we had gained in our global travels and then applied them to teach Spanish in three days.

The course has been proven again and again by the thousands who have used this system.  You can read a few of the many raves we have received from delegates who have learned from the Super Thinking Spanish course we created.

Here are a few quotes from delegates of the course.

One delegate from St. Louis wrote:  Hi Gary,  Just ended forty-five years in dentistry last week, and I’m on to a new career.  What is my new career?  Still formulating, but the eye -opening,mind expanding Super-Spanish course last weekend in St. Louis surely shows me the opportunity exists to expand my horizons.

Besides having a lot of nice people to learn our new language; the methods Merri and you developed proved to be just what you said they would be.  We all and I in particular relaxed our way to new learning.  I feel so very comfortable with the basis of my new language skills that I know I will be spitting out great Spanish sentences by the time I reach Ecuador in October.  Last year I spent six weeks in Ecuador and now I plan on conversing with the people.

Today’s excerpt of your newsletter really hit home. You do what you say you will. There are no surprises or hidden sales tricks. The only tricks are beneficial to our learning.  Thank you for a wonderful experience that I was quite unable to grasp how you would pull it off.  You did, however, and I look forward to other courses that you offer, and I have absolutely no doubt they also will work beneficially.  Best regards, Denis Molloy.

Another wrote about the Super Spanish course:   Buenos Dias, here is a testimonial for Super Thinking-Super Spanish.  Please feel free to use all or part in promotions for the course.  In addition, you may give my email address to any prospect “on the fence” about enrolling.  Yesterday, in Cotacachi, Ecuador, I finished Super Spanish.  I had high expectations for the course and they were exceeded.

After three days, I can speak Spanish in complete sentences. In simple conversations, such as buying groceries or ordering a meal, I can make myself understood. I think that’s incredible!

Although I am far from the competence level of a native speaker, I feel I’ve taken a giant step forward in learning Spanish so that I can experience the people and culture of Ecuador.  The foregoing benefits would have more than justified the time and money I invested in Super Spanish.  And learning some Spanish was not the most important benefit I got from the course.

Prior to leaving the USA, I had felt for some time that the pace of life there was unhealthy for me (and for most people) and I did nothing about it.

I’ve thought about the pace issue during the course.  One of the key elements Merri Scott designed into Super Spanish is placing the student in the optimal state for learning.  In class, the past three days, I’ve been re-introduced to guided journeys and introduced to the calming effects of Baroque music (www.sundaybaroque.org).  What a blessing! I’m inclined to make one or both a daily part of my life.   Rob Christi.  Cotacachi, Ecuador

Another attendee from a course wrote:   “I took this incredible class a few weeks ago, and I would like to tell anyone that is interested, that it is an amazing three days of learning with lots of laughs included. You leave everyday wanting to learn more and are so excited to do so.

“Other Spanish classes and tutoring made us feel like it would take forever to get to the point where we could put it into practice, but this method gave us a more fluent use for everyday life almost immediately AND the confidence to use it.  It is a fantastic way to show people how much they know and give confidence to learn and use Spanish creating a momentum.

“They made learning Spanish easy and fun in a very relaxed, comfortable atmosphere.  I would definitely recommend this course.  Even if you know some Spanish, this helps make it easier because of the less stress that no verb conjugations gives you.  This gives you more confidence in yourself to try and speak it more.

“The stress free atmosphere and tons of interaction and participation were very conducive to learning.  The relaxation techniques alone are worth the price.  The fact that I can now feel more comfortable conversing in Spanish with my new friends and neighbors is priceless.  Muchas, muchas gracias.”

“I loved the relaxed environment.  I picked up quite a lot of new vocabulary.  I found this course very informative about how the language works, how I can make sentences and understand others better!  Muchas Gracias!  I had a call from Telcel (the local phone company) after our second class and I was able to speak and understand them for the first time. Despacio (meaning slowly) … a great word!  Everyone should take this course before they pick up bad habits.”

“I liked how simply the course was organized and the positive attitude about learning.  Thank you so much for helping me to learn Spanish!”

“I liked the laid back yet professional approach.  I highly recommend this new, relaxing method of learning Spanish,  I feel a lot more confident in the delivery of my words and sentences. It was taught in an excellent and very professional way.

“It was a very enjoyable class.”

How The Course Works

The first tactic is to use Baroque music in the learning process.  At least three best selling books, “Superlearning”, the “Mozart Effect” and “Superlearning 2000” have revealed insights about how to learn and think more powerfully based on systems drawn from the Bulgarian educational master, Dr. Georgi Lozanov.  Merri Scott was among just a few who learned directly from Lozanov.

The second tactic uses 17 unique lessons to provide Spanish fluency in a short time.   Let me prove to you how this tactic works by teaching you hundreds of Spanish words in less than 30 seconds.

Here is the proof.

“Most words in English that end in ION are almost identical, just pronounced differently.  For example action is accion, education-educacion, manipulation- manipulacion, etc.”

There you have it.  How long did it take you to read the sentence?  You now know hundreds of Spanish words that you will never forget.

See examples of the words you already know below.

How long would have taken you to memorize all those words?  How soon would you have forgotten them?

This is just one of seventeen Spanish lessons in the course.

The next lesson teaches how to pronounce each of the nouns.

Then, the third lesson teaches almost as many verbs, almost as quickly.

The fourth lesson shows how to avoid conjugating verbs by sticking with the infinitive (far easier than it sounds).  This simple lesson leaves a person sounding like a Spanish professor without ever conjugating a verb.

Lesson five shows how to sound infinitely polite and yet get almost anything desired in Spanish.

Lesson six gives valuable connectors and the seventh lesson triples the Spanish capacity with three words for “yesterday,” “now” and “tomorrow”.

By the end of three days you feel comfortable speaking Spanish.

Plus the system is Impro-Dynamic.  This means your Spanish keeps getting better even though you do not seem to be studying… practicing… or speaking Spanish.

I was amazed by this as I traveled back and forth from the USA to Ecuador.  The longer I was away from Ecuador… the better my Spanish became.  My second language was automatically improving The self improving feature comes because you learn to create Spanish sentences rather than remember them.  The portion of the brain that creates is more powerful than the portion that recalls.  When your mind creates something… it owns it!  You do not have to remember .

During the course you learn 4005 Spanish words that you already know .

You then learn how to create Spanish sentences from these words.

Throughout the course you learn how to pronounce the sentences you create.

When the course ends… the mind keeps working… and creating… so next time you begin to speak Spanish you’ll be surprised .  You improve even though you have not actively worked on your lingual skill.

Here are more testimonials from previous Super Spanish Courses.

Maggie wrote: It didn’t really seem possible that we would be speaking and understanding Spanish in only 3 days but the course made it happen in a very supportive learning environment.  I would highly recommend this course for anyone wishing to learn “practical Spanish”.  The teaching methods, use of relaxation, the use of native Spanish speakers for pronunciation and the teachers themselves who were approachable and helpful and always positive made this a very valuable class.

This course improved my self confidence in my ability to learn and retain a language.  It was presented with genuine enthusiasm, great energy and the style of learning is very effective. Gracias!  It was a great experience.

Nadine wrote: “Just spent the last 3 days in the most wonderful learning environment learning Spanish.  What an amazing learning experience!!  First day out of class and I could not stop thinking in Spanish WOW!!  I am amazed by how much I learned, retained and how much more is showing up now that I am out of class.  And the best part is THERE WAS NO STUDYING!! Indeed this is Super Thinking!!!  I would highly recommend this to anyone that has ever had a desire to learn another language or learn anything in record time.

And a few days after that ….  As I went through my day, just hanging out with my son, I could see myself starting to think in Spanish.  At first I thought it was amusing but as it continued and increased I thought “My goodness this is really remarkable amazing” It was really an effortless unfolding.  I wasn’t at any point “trying” to think in Spanish, just words I knew would fly across the screen in my mind.  And then this afternoon, my son cuddled up on the couch to watch some cartoons on his ipad and was watching Peppa Pig in Spanish…hmm coincidence?  I think not, I’m radiating Spanish so much that my son is being influenced!  Thanks a million again.  This weekend the best learning experience of my life!!

If you have ever had a desire to learn Spanish this is the way to do it!  By the end of the first day I had more confidence and more practical ability than I had from any previous courses I had taken.  It was fun and relaxed and full of laughter.  You will leave this class excited to use what you have learned.  Rather than leaving overwhelmed with how much you have yet to learn and master, you are equipped with the knowledge and know how to go out and communicate as well as the excitement to do it!”

Gary noted:  “The whole approach is positive and conducive to learning at a level that benefits ALL participants.  It is not intimidating and does not set up a pass/fail atmosphere.  The presenters are terrific and the results unbelievable.  It was relaxed, informal, friendly and effective.”

Twila said:  “This class provided a very refreshing and relaxed way of learning.  The atmosphere felt very safe to say the words you were practicing.  I learned a lot in a way that will make it easy to apply.  Starting with conversation is way more fun.  How quickly you can learn!  It was a great group, great instructors and great stories.

The atmosphere in the classroom was so relaxed that learning Spanish felt like a breeze and not like a painful task.  The relaxation exercises are really conducive to language learning.  We learned A LOT in a short time and it was fun and the environment was non-threatening.”

Brigitte sent this:  “Buenos Dias, Suzanne. su clase de espanol es excelente! Muchas Gracias!
I have already done what you suggested and went into the program listening to the music and going over the lessons.  I know: Repetition……reinforcement…..thinking in the new language….it’s all part of it.  I loved your course and will certainly recommend it to friends.  Who knows….I might feel the urge and have the opportunity to repeat it at your beautiful place in Puerto Aventuras…..Quien sabe? Hasta otro dia y saludos a su familia.”

Marie wrote:  “I would highly recommend this course.  The amount covered in 3 days is amazing!  All with no stress.  The correlation lessons and pronunciation practice has greatly reduced my anxiety to go out and use my Spanish.  I really enjoyed the whole process and thank you for the take away tools.”

Become and Remain Rich With Relaxed Concentration

Merri and I want to help you become and remain rich… with an everlasting income and extraordinary lifestyle at any age.  Learn relaxed concentration.

We want to share why you can have amazing abilities or rather… the fact that you already have them and just need to know what to do to bring them out.

fingers

Shaolin priest showing how to get a finger on how to be extraordinary in everyday life.  It is said that only two people in the world can do this.

When you tap into the incredible qualities that you possess, economic change or retirement no longer means quitting… you can control your destiny at any age because you retire from the rat race and gain  everlasting wealth… deep experiences… and rich fulfillment from doing something you enjoy.

Concentration is the key to unlocking your own internal secrets… but let’s make it without stress…and utilize relaxed concentration.

Merri and I listen to… and play special music to gain relaxed concentration.

Research at a University of North Carolina website entitled “Music Can Help You Study” says:  Did you know music can help you study? Studies have shown that the right kind of music can help you relax your mind which enables you to concentrate better. Perfect to studying, doing homework or studying for a test or exam. It cuts down on distractions and helps you focus on your work.

The most cited study is the “Mozart Effect” a set of research results that indicate that listening to Mozart’s music may induce a short-term improvement on the performance of certain kinds of mental tasks known as “spatial-temporal reasoning” which is the ability to think out long-term, more abstract solutions to logical problems that arise.

What Kind of Music Helps You Study?

There are many types of music that have been shown to put your mind in study mode. Here are a few of the most mentioned.

Baroque classical music is said to have mind-boosting effects. Productivity writer David Allen of “Getting Things Done” fame has said he prefers music like Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons,” Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto #3, and other Baroque tunes.   Others say that music at 60 beats-per-minute is required to put the brain in a “bright and breezy” frame of mind. In this state your thinking and creativity are said to be easier. Concertos for Recorder – Telemann & Vivaldi is recommended.

How does this work?

Music is one way to attain a state of relaxed concentration.

Concentration is the most rewarded ability on earth… the longer one can concentrate on one thing… the more one can accomplish… the more the knowing… the understanding…. the wealth of an act.

There are three steps to being unbelievably smarter in a relaxed way…  #1: having correct thoughts… #2: being able to focus on these thoughts and #3: being able to stay focused on the correct thoughts.

This is why we revere the King Fu master who is totally relaxed… but completely concentrated on exactly the right thing at the perfect time.  When we attain this state amazing things happen… universal laws change.

Take as an example the Shaolin Monk below who was mentioned in the Xiamen news when he was hired as a body guard.

The article said:   Hu Qiong, a 38 year old Shaolin monk hired by tycoon to guard daughter.

concentration

Hu Qiong is a national kung fu expert in China.

The article says:  A wealthy man has hired a national kung fu expert to guard his daughter after a spate of knife attacks in Chinese schools.

Bodyguard Hu Qiong,38, became a monk in a Shaolin temple aged eight. He can throw needles like streaking bullets and stop knives with his bare hands, reported Xin Wen Hua Bao newspaper yesterday.

Hu’s employer surnamed Liu paid him 10,000 yuan (US$ 1,465) a month to protect his six-year old daughter on her way to school in south China.  Liu said the price was reasonable after six fatal attacks against school children in less than two months, the report said.

concentration

Hu Qiong stunned an audience by holding a running drill to his own head.

That’s concentration that makes learning, thinking and creating income repeatable and easier.

There are many examples of how relaxed concentration can allow humans to act in seemingly miraculous ways but how can we attain “Relaxed Concentration” without becoming a Shaolin priest?

A comparison on the benefits of meditation and Baroque Music can help us see how to attain the state of relaxed concentration.  This study compares Transcendental Meditation. Since TM is the most documented form of meditation worldwide, it lends itself to a comparison with Super Thinking.

Below, we can see the physiological changes during sessions of listening to certain types of music as compared to TM Meditation.

Meditation creates a state of “Restful Alertness”…. which is great for tuning into deeper levels of intelligence.

Music, however, creates “Relaxed Concentration” the state one wants to attain during study and action.

Three events can be used… to get in this state of total relaxed concentration.

Music is one step.   Integrating our brain waves is the second.

Integrating the Brain Step Two.

Frequency Modulation works by focusing on the learner… rather than data.  We all have enough data.  FM “grows the learner” rather than just expands the information.  The explosion of data we must all process everyday means there is too much information to process already.  Let’s view this learning in terms of plumbing to outline what “Growing the Learner”  means.

If you have 4.5 inches of information flowing through a 4 inch learning pipe, the solution is not to add another inch of information.  The answer is to first create a six inch pipe and then an even larger pipe…a never ending expansion of abilities!

FM (Frequency Modulation) integrates our brain waves.

Here are details about brain waves from an article in Scientific American entitled “What is the Function of the Brainwaves?” by  Ned Herrmann an educator who has developed models of brain activity and integrated them into teaching and management training. Before founding the Ned Herrmann Group in 1980, he headed management education at General Electric, where he developed many of his ideas. Here is his explanation.

It is well known that the brain is an electrochemical organ; researchers have speculated that a fully functioning brain can generate as much as 10 watts of electrical power. Other more conservative investigators calculate that if all 10 billion interconnected nerve cells discharged at one time that a single electrode placed on the human scalp would record something like five millionths to 50 millionths of a volt. If you had enough scalps hooked up you might be able to light a flashlight bulb.

Even though this electrical power is very limited, it does occur in very specific ways that are characteristic of the human brain. Electrical activity emanating from the brain is displayed in the form of brainwaves. There are four categories of these brainwaves, ranging from the most activity to the least activity. When the brain is aroused and actively engaged in mental activities, it generates beta waves. These beta waves are of relatively low amplitude, and are the fastest of the four different brainwaves. The frequency of beta waves ranges from 15 to 40 cycles a second. Beta waves are characteristics of a strongly engaged mind. A person in active conversation would be in beta. A debater would be in high beta. A person making a speech, or a teacher, or a talk show host would all be in beta when they are engaged in their work.

The next brainwave category in order of frequency is alpha. Where beta represented arousal, alpha represents non-arousal. Alpha brainwaves are slower, and higher in amplitude. Their frequency ranges from 9 to 14 cycles per second. A person who has completed a task and sits down to rest is often in an alpha state. A person who takes time out to reflect or meditate is usually in an alpha state. A person who takes a break from a conference and walks in the garden is often in an alpha state.

The next state, theta brainwaves, are typically of even greater amplitude and slower frequency. This frequency range is normally between 5 and 8 cycles a second. A person who has taken time off from a task and begins to daydream is often in a theta brainwave state. A person who is driving on a freeway, and discovers that they can’t recall the last five miles, is often in a theta state–induced by the process of freeway driving. The repetitious nature of that form of driving compared to a country road would differentiate a theta state and a beta state in order to perform the driving task safely.

Individuals who do a lot of freeway driving often get good ideas during those periods when they are in theta. Individuals who run outdoors often are in the state of mental relaxation that is slower than alpha and when in theta, they are prone to a flow of ideas. This can also occur in the shower or tub or even while shaving or brushing your hair. It is a state where tasks become so automatic that you can mentally disengage from them. The ideation that can take place during the theta state is often free flow and occurs without censorship or guilt. It is typically a very positive mental state.

The final brainwave state is delta. Here the brainwaves are of the greatest amplitude and slowest frequency. They typically center around a range of 1.5 to 4 cycles per second. They never go down to zero because that would mean that you were brain dead. But, deep dreamless sleep would take you down to the lowest frequency. Typically, 2 to 3 cycles a second.

When we go to bed and read for a few minutes before attempting sleep, we are likely to be in low beta. When we put the book down, turn off the lights and close our eyes, our brainwaves will descend from beta, to alpha, to theta and finally, when we fall asleep, to delta.

It is a well known fact that humans dream in 90 minute cycles. When the delta brainwave frequencies increase into the frequency of theta brainwaves, active dreaming takes place and often becomes more experiential to the person.

Typically, when this occurs there is rapid eye movement, which is characteristic of active dreaming. This is called REM, and is a well known phenomenon.

When an individual awakes from a deep sleep in preparation for getting up, their brainwave frequencies will increase through the different specific stages of brainwave activity. That is, they will increase from delta to theta and then to alpha and finally, when the alarm goes off, into beta. If that individual hits the snooze alarm button they will drop in frequency to a non-aroused state, or even into theta, or sometimes fall back to sleep in delta. During this awakening cycle it is possible for individuals to stay in the theta state for an extended period of say, five to 15 minutes–which would allow them to have a free flow of ideas about yesterday’s events or to contemplate the activities of the forthcoming day. This time can be an extremely productive and can be a period of very meaningful and creative mental activity.

In summary, there are four brainwave states that range from the high amplitude, low frequency delta to the low amplitude, high frequency beta. These brainwave states range from deep dreamless sleep to high arousal. The same four brainwave states are common to the human species. Men, women and children of all ages experience the same characteristic brainwaves. They are consistent across cultures and country boundaries.

Research has shown that although one brainwave state may predominate at any given time, depending on the activity level of the individual, the remaining three brain states are present in the mix of brainwaves at all times. In other words, while somebody is an aroused state and exhibiting a beta brainwave pattern, there also exists in that person’s brain a component of alpha, theta and delta, even though these may be present only at the trace level.

It has been my personal experience that knowledge of brainwave states enhances a person’s ability to make use of the specialized characteristics of those states: these include being mentally productive across a wide range of activities, such as being intensely focused, relaxed, creative and in restful sleep.  Scientific American  December 22, 1997.

Here is my thinking about the power of brain waves.

Our Beta waves tap into the local news. This is the part of our being that takes care of the here and now…the space around us.  This is what we call logic and it is a vital tool. Nothing is more important than know what conditions are in the here and now.   However mankind is so dependent on this logic that that often the messages are ignored coming from our other brain waves that we can sum up by calling them intuition.

Our Alpha waves connect us to the regional news. This is a much deeper and broader area of intelligence too vast for our prefrontal logical brain to compute on its own. When we tap into Alpha we get intuitive creative flashes we could never just think up.  If there is about to be an earthquake in our region, all animals know it. Dogs will howl.  Roosters will crow. Birds will fly away.  Humans have this intuition as well.  Yet we can be so steeped in our logic… that we ignore it.

Theta connects brain waves which connect with the global news.   This an even deeper vaster level of intelligence.  At some level we are in touch with anything and everything that happens wherever int he world.   Here we need the filter of our logic. For our mind to process all this data would be like running many yottabytes squared of information through a 64K processor.

At some level we are in touch with everything that happens in the world.

Delta waves are our connection to the universal news right down to our quantum state.   This is an intelligence so vast that we cannot even imagine it.  Here according to quantum science we are even in touch with the past and future…even other universes in a multiverse. We must be in a dream state where the physical boundaries strip away. In Delta we can be in two places at once, know all things and even fly.

When we allow these waves to interconnect freely we gain access to infinite knowledge and unimaginable intellect.

How to get Traction is step three.   After we get in tune with all our brainwaves, we need a way of putting  the data into usable form.   We need a way of completing the impossible task of defining infinity.  This requires a filter and a recognition system.

One way to reach this state of relaxed concentration… listen to Largo music.

When I am stressed or pushed on a deadline… I click this on and let it play quietly in the background as I work.

A good example is Bach’s – Double Violin Concerto in D minor 2nd movement, Largo‬ at Youtube.

Listening to this music can help you gain relaxed concentration!

Learn Spanish in How Long? Six New Spanish Courses in Ecuador For You

Learn Spanish in how long?  Here are six new Spanish courses in Ecuador for you.

I thought long and hard before deciding to promise we could teach readers to communicate in Spanish in just four days.

spanish-teachers

Super Thinking teachers in training.  See how to be a teacher here.

Learn Spanish in just four days?  I now know this is not correct.  I lied.

The truth is you can learn to communicate in Spanish in just three days…. if the class is small.

glenn

Glenn Sterling teaching Super Thinking.  Glenn will teach five three day Super Thinking classes in Ecuador plus a four day Amazon Spanish camp this March, April and May, 2012.

One delegate (currently in Uruguay) who was so impressed with the course he signed up to be a teacher just wrote: Since this is the first trip to a Spanish speaking country since your training and I must say within just a few days I’m comfortably speaking Spanish with automaticity more than I ever have in my entire life, and every day it just gets better and better.  I am in awe of your system and can’t wait to spread the word on this magical solution of yours!

Honestly the solution is not magical… it’s very scientific even though it includes a lot of fun group participation.  Because of this group work we are able to create a special three day program because  when we have 30 delegates the courses takes much longer to conduct than when we have ten.

We are always looking for ways to help you learn Spanish faster… more efficiently and at the lowest possible cost so we have created a new program that has limited attendance.

In the beginning our Spanish courses were seven days… then we whittled them down to five and then four.  Now we have figured out how to do this in three days without reducing effectiveness… what we do is limit attendance so we have started a program to offer more courses to smaller groups.

Our Super Thinking + Spanish course in Mt. Dora in March will remain four days but to make it possible to have more smaller classes we have added ten more Super Thinking Plus Spanish courses beyond our existing schedule… one in the Amazon… two on Ecuador’s beach in Bahia, three in Cotacachi and one in Costa Rica (See Costa Rica details here).

The three day Ecuador Super Thinking + Spanish courses are tuned to the Ecuador real estate tours.  Glenn has set his schedule of courses so they are taught just before and after Ecuador real estate tours.

Most real estate tour delegates arrive in Ecuador through Quito. Glenn’s Cotacachi Spanish courses provide a day for him to pick you up bring you to Cotacachi and get you back to your Cuenca real estate tour.  His coastal courses are in Bahia at the La Piedra Hotel where the real estate tours start.

You can enroll in a Three Day Super Thinking plus Spanish course on its own or combine the course with Ecuador real estate tours as part of a multi course adventure that offers substantial discounts.

Three Day Super Thinking + Spanish courses are coordinated to real estate tours.

Most real estate tour delegates arrive in Ecuador through Quito.  Glenn’s Spanish courses provide a day for him to pick you up bring you to Cotacachi and get you back to your Coastal or Cuenca real estate tour. Here is the schedule.

Due to the difficulty of getting groups together to learn this valuable technique, we created an online program for subscribers to use the Super Spanish course at home.  Normally $149, this is available at the highly reduced price of $79. Simply use coupon code SPANISH110 at checkout.

I’ll be in touch personally via email with each person who signs up for this course to see how it works or what is required to make it better.  Once this test is complete, we plan to offer the program on a larger scale and at a much higher price.

Thanks for Silence

Thanks for silence.

First, the wild turkey that grazes in our front yard asked me to pass along a message.

wild turkey

“Eat more kow!”

Merri and I and our family thank you for sharing this site with us and hope… if this is a holiday you… or if not that you’ll have the gift of silence some time during the day.

Holidays are especially good days to add extra focus on silence.  Every day should have some silence in it.

Silence in the Andes.

One classic article I read and reread is a USA Today article entitled “Sphere of Silence” as it tells how a successful CFO uses silence in business and says:  Vijay Eswaran (pronounced Veejay Eeshwuhrn) is not well known in the USA , but throughout Asia he has become something akin to a CEO/spiritual guide. Picture a Kung Fu episode with David Carradine running Hong Kong telecommunications, travel, e-commerce, entertainment conglomerate QI Group, a company less than 10 years old that is approaching $1 billion in annual sales. Eswaran, a Hindu Indian born in Malaysia , starts each day monk-like with an hour of silence, a practice detailed in his book “In the Sphere of Silence.”

To gain from silence, Merri and I meditate every day.

Plus we listen to 60 beat ten cycle classical music… recommended by Dr.Georgi Lozanov, the great Bulgarian educator,  as we work.

You could count the number of times we have missed our meditation routine in the last 20 years on one hand.

The frequencies in silence, meditation and music have been proven many times, in many ways to improve health and intelligence.

Here are some ideas and music that could improve health and intelligence.

The system Lozanov teaches uses three types of music in three phases to enhance absorption, retention and recall.

The first phase uses introductory music, along with deep breathing exercises, for relaxation and to move the mind into an Alpha state. This is where the health benefits seem to begin as well. Blood pressure can drop, heart rate slows and the mind becomes calmed.

Next an active concert is heard. At this stage, the information to be learned is read.

Finally, a passive concert is used as the new information is again reviewed. This baroque music and its beat help put the mind in a state where the information absorbed shifts into long-term memory. Here are a few typical selections:

For example here is are some ideas and music that can improve your health and intelligence and how I would research some new idea or study something new.

First, I would meditate (or practice some slow yoga) for 20 minutes, then listen to relaxing Baroque music such as Handel’s Water Music. (Click to listen)

Next, I would review the material while listening to an active concert such as Beethoven’s Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in D major, Op. 61. or Mozart’s for Violin and Orchestra Concert No. 7 in D major or Haydn’s Symphony No. 67 in F. major. (Click to Listen).

Finally, I would review the material again while listening to calming music again such as Corelli’s Concerti Grossi, Op. 6, Violin and Orchestra in No. 2, 8, 5, 9. or J.S. Bach’s Fantasy in C Minor and Trio in D minor or Vivaldi’s Five Concertos for Flute and Chamber Orchestra. (Click to listen)

This process tunes our minds into nature’s deeper wisdom, tunes us into the wisdom of silence where the noise of our logic is not heard. This creates what seems to be extraordinary intelligence but is really just taking us to the deeper levels of wisdom we all (as creations of nature) possess.

So on this special time of thanks, Merri and I hope you and yours enjoy all the wisdom and beauty that silence can bring to you.

How to Profit From Frequency & Natural Cycles

Our Super thinking plus Spanish courses help delegates learn how frequency affects our biological nature and why frequencies are vital to prosperity in times of adaptation and change.

This weekend we are conducting our Super thinking + Spanish course that uses frequency modulation to improve our ability to absorb, retain and recall information.  We learn how to communicate in Spanish in just four days… a feat many believe impossible… to prove the power of frequency modulation.

We arrive…

We have a full house and begin at 9am with…

delegates eager to absorb.

We have fun and study till dusk.

By the end of day every one of the delegates are creating and understanding sentences in Spanish. On frequency modulation they are hooked!

We leave as the sun sets on Lake Dora, knowing a good day’s sharing  and work has been done.

After a recent course a delegate wrote:  Good morning, Gary,  At the beginning of our workshop last month, you talked about the seven year cycles of our lives leading up to 112 years.  Unfortunately, I did not make any notes about this topic and it has come back around in importance to me.  I was talking to a friend last night about these cycles.  He and I are the same age and have experienced very similar changes and events at almost the same times.  I tried to explain the 7 year cycles but my memory fogged after about age 35.

Have you written about this in one of your newsletters so I might read an archive?  (If you haven’t written about this, please consider doing so.)  Is there a book or website I can reference for more information?

Thanks for your wonderful daily newsletters–I always learn something and enjoy them very much.

Hope you and Merri are enjoying Florida.

I have written about this. Our latest message that covered this concept said:

Our thoughts are one of the most  important factors in success… or failure.  The frequencies around us shape our thoughts and our chemistry. They can make a difference between a good or bad investment. Thoughts can make the difference the rich and the poor, the happy and the sad, the healthy and the sick.

ecuador-exports

Music for example has an impact on our thoughts. This is why I try to take time out to tinkle on our piano.  Every day we listen to Baroque music and play it in our courses.  Baroque music has been shown to enhance our thoughts.

However, few of us ever think about how we process information to create thoughts. Nor have many of us considered that we process information in different ways via different parts of our bodies at different times in our lives.

I have a theory about this. If correct, the idea is momentous. Yet it’s just a theory pieced together from many sources. Bits and pieces of information have pieces of a puzzle that seems to fit.

So here goes…it’s theory…so keep this in mind.

Seven year cycles seem to have great importance in the way we process information. Jewish people (Bar Mitzvah) and Andeans (First Cutting of the Hair) celebrate age 14 for the coming of manhood. One of the first pieces of the puzzle appeared when Merri and I were invited to one of these age 14 ceremonies at a sacred site in Ecuador.

It occurred to me from various other experiences that we shift our major energy processing to a new chakra each seven years.

Chakras? What are these? For the purposes of this theory they are energy processing centers in our body. Each chakra is connected to the spinal chord which in turn passes the energy to one of our organs and glands.

There appear to be seven main chakras each processing data for one of the major organs or glands.

The theory is that every seven years one of these chakras acts as the main energy processing center.

Each seven year period has a purpose.

The first seven years is aimed at bonding us with our mother. No other relationship is as important during this time.

At around age seven, we shift chakras to another that is aimed at bonding us with our peers of same gender. Take a batch of ten year old boys and girls to a dance and watch them each rush to opposite ends of the room. Girls are sugar, spice and everything nice. Boys…spiders, snails and puppy dog tails.

Then at 14 we shift again. Age 14-21 bonds us with peers of opposite gender. Take the same boys and girls to a dance when they are 16 and watch out. You’ll need chaperones!

Age 21 to 28 is aimed at bonding us with our mate. Even the West recognizes 21.

I have not seen many clues as to what the next cycles are meant to do. Maybe you can help? Each seven years what we were doing, if done in harmony with what our body should be doing grows pale. The way we think changes.

Imagine this. If a five year old sees a glass of milk, his or her thought is, “Let’s have a drink with mommy”.

A ten year old is more likely to think “Let’s get together with my gang (girls for girls and guys for guys) and have a party”.

The sixteen year old thinks, “Let’s have a glass of milk with my date”!

This theory can have profound consequences. Imagine every seven years we need to make some monumental shifts in how we think and what we do.

We have all heard of taking a sabbatical. This is the time when we leave the old cycle and rest before shifting gears and beginning anew.

We have all heard of the seven year itch. Is this the body saying, “Hey, Bud, time to shift”.

What does appear in many religions and philosophies is a major shift at age 50.

The Bible gives a clue about this in Leviticus 25:9-12 when it says.

You shall have the trumpet sounded throughout all your land. And you shall hallow the fiftieth year and you shall proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you: you shall return, everyone of you, to your property and everyone of you to your family. That fiftieth year shall be a jubilee for you: you shall not sow, or reap the aftergrowth, or harvest the unpruned vines. For it is a jubilee; it shall be holy to you: you shall eat only what the field itself produces.”

The Vedic and Andean philosophy is that at about this time we should leave the material aspect of our life and become more spiritual.

Life sciences from India and the Andes suggest that the first 50 years of life should take care of the material and the second 50, the spiritual.

Vedic Astrology ties in with this as well except I was confused for years because the numbers did not quite work. Vedic Astrology normally shows our life potential to be about 120. What happened to the extra 20 years I kept asking?

A big piece of this puzzle was answered when I learned that Andean beliefs hold that there are nine chakras, (the 8th connects to the soul, the 9th the infinite being).

Learning this resolved the huge mathematical question that haunted this line of questioning. With nine chakras, the two cycles gets us to age 119 which would leave us to shift into the infinite being at age 120. This pretty well matches the concept in astrology which suggests we should live to be 120.

This also ties into the Vedic idea that there are seven levels of spiritual enlightenment. Our first seven cycles takes care of our material life. The second seven cycles moves us towards deeper spirituality.

We go through the process of growing up, procreating, caring for our family and then in the second series of seven go through a similar process in a spiritual journey.

I do not think that this means we should necessarily stop working at 50.  Work… service is one of the eight paths to enlightenment.

However at 50 we may feel a natural  urge to beginning preparing to change our goals. Merri and I certainly felt this and work now more for the fulfillment and whatever positive good we can create rather than the money.

Then at 64… we really can begin again… living a full life at a more spiritual level.  We can work where “action is our goal… reward truly not our concern”… we work out our relationship with reality in order rather than our bank account.

This theory could have some profound implications because it suggests that every seven years the way we think, our information processing system and even our thoughts change.

So if you have seven year itches, acting on the desires you feel will help you remain in tune with nature. Our bodies are quite miraculous and few events that take place are by accident. The way we age, the way our thoughts change may do so because that is the way our lives are meant to unfold.

So there you have it, some thoughts about thought, perhaps the greatest assets we have in the world.

Now I have more important data to share about seven year frequencies.

I was pleased to learn at our October 3rd course (one delegate was a Waldorf teacher) that Seven-year Cycles is used in the Waldorf Education and there are several lectures by Rudolf Steiner on this.  One of the Waldorf websites says:  The concept of distinct seven-year cycles is central to Waldorf education. Each cycle carries its own focus and primary emphasis through which one learns. After one has concluded studies through the content of the Waldorf educational curriculum, one may continue to study Steiner’s indications for adult development, also unfolding in seven-year cycles, for the course of one’s life.

Birth to Age 7

– the growth of the physical body
– the process of imitation
– the virtue of goodness
– learning primarily through the hands
– rooted in the physical (or willing) realm

Ages 7 to 14

– the strengthening of ones life forces
– the process of imagination
– the virtue of beauty
– learning primarily through the heart
– rooted in the etheric (or feeling) realm
Ages 14 to 21

– the development of cognitive skills
– the process of inspiration
– the virtue of truth
– learning primarily through the head

rooted in the astral (or thinking) realm

Waldorf education is also recognized for its distinct approach to the curriculum, with an emphasis on the oral tradition, decreased use of electronic media, and an emphasis on festivals.  Read more about some of these unique aspects of Waldorf education  as well as the main lesson, practical arts, eurhythmy and spatial dynamics.

Age 21 and Up

– continuing personal development and transformation
– the assertion of ones will through moral responsibility
– the process of intuition
– the virtue of wisdom
– learning takes place in a cumulative, integrated nature (higher Ego)

For further reading on biographical cycles, we recommend the following books:

-The Veiled Pulse of Time (William Bryant)

– Phases: The Spiritual Rhythms of Adult Life (Bernard Lievgoed)

– The Human Life (George O’Neil and Gisela O’Neil)

Age 21 and Up

– continuing personal development and transformation
– the assertion of ones will through moral responsibility
– the process of intuition
– the virtue of wisdom
– learning takes place in a cumulative, integrated nature (higher Ego)

This is just one more dot connected in our never ending education about cycles, natural rhythms and their importance in learning adapting and  gaining prosperity in eras of great shifts.

Gain From the Foundation of Intelligence

Here is how to gain from an old idea that remains a foundation of intelligence.

bach

J.S. Bach

I am often asked about our Super Thinking + Spanish course, “Can I learn Spanish in just three days – Really”?

See how the answer to this question can enhance your ability in thinking, investing and business… even improve your health.

I thought long and hard before making the bold statement that you can learn to communicate in Spanish in such a short time.  Again and again… we get readers who have attended the course confirming that this is true.

There are three foundations to our Super Thinking system of learning Spanish. They make Super Thinking completely different from any other Spanish system and this is why it works so well.

#1: We learn how to stay in the infinitive so our system avoids all conjugation… the task that stops most English speakers from every getting started.  And yet, the sentence structure is correct and the meaning is correct and the understanding by the listening correct.

#2: There are 4005 Spanish and English words that are the same. Our course provides 17 simple lessons that unlocks all these words and provides an instant vocabulary with no memorization required.

#3: The third foundation of learning is frequency modulation (FM).  Which is the focus of this post. FM uses frequency (in music and a number of other ways) to integrate brain waves so the process of absorbing, processing and recalling information is vastly accelerated.  This brings forth a mental physical state called relaxed concentration or better known as… being in the zone.

FM works by focusing on the learner… rather than data.

When we allow all the brain waves to interconnect freely we gain access to unimaginable intellect.

Our mental and physical beings improve.  This is why delegates who attend our Super  Spanish courses feel so much better and discover that the course is much more than just learning Spanish. They discover they can apply the tactics learned in so many ways.

This course is based on the power of silence and music.  Super Thinking recognizes that silence and music supercharge and connect your mind, body and soul. The knowledge and experience gained in that course about silence, smart music and super nutrition allows delegates to enhance productivity and creativity.

The concepts gained show delegates how to create their own program of greater wisdom and help them build new skills at work in study and play. Quickly becoming fluent in Spanish is just one benefit.

One way to reach this state of relaxed concentration… listen to Largo music.

When I am stressed or pushed on a deadline… I click this on and let it play quietly in the background as I work.

bach

A good example is Bach’s – Double Violin Concerto in D minor 2nd movement, Largo‬ at Youtube.

I hope listening to this music helps you gain relaxed concentration!

Surviving International Investing Shifts Part II

Surviving International Investing Shifts Part II – Frequency in the Range of Light.

See how to get a free digital workshop on frequency modulation below.

Frequency modulation for quantum thinking is vital because one of the biggest shifts we can gain from is the following:   Turbulence has replaced calm as the norm in our daily lives.  Rapid change now is our bellwether in the here and now.

Perhaps the change was always there and we just did not know.  More likely technology does speed up the process of change.  Maybe technology just informs us faster of the change now so everything seems faster.

Success in this new reality requires that we think and act beyond logic by fine tuning… by enhancing all of our senses and integrating them with intuition so we can survive, prosper and be comfortable and fulfilled in the volatility that has now become our daily state.

See part one this report here.

Part of the integration begins at our quantum state of reality.

russian-doll-lamp

I am reminded of change and reality by this lamp designed by Russian designer Dima Loginoff.  The seeds of every outer shell are dictated by another seed within… always smaller and always bigger. As above… so below.

This never ending relativity is part of quantum reality.  Since we used a lamp as our symbol to help us see definition in something that is infinite, let’s view first the quantum aspects of light and how knowing about it can help us survive and prosper in these shifts.

Figure 2.1 illustrates the situation. But it is somewhat misleading: if we were observing the torch from the side we should be able to see neither it nor, of course, its light. Invisibility is one of the more straightforward properties of light. We see light only if it enters our eyes (though we usually speak of seeing the object in our line of sight that last affected that light).

FIGURE 2.1 Light from an electric torch (flashlight).

quantum-experiment

Figure 2.1 does show that the light is brightest near the torch, and gets dimmer farther away as the beam spreads out to illuminate an ever larger area. To an observer within the beam, backing steadily away from the torch, the reflector would appear ever smaller and then, when it could only be seen as a single point, ever fainter. Or would it? Can light really be spread more and more thinly without limit? The answer is no. At a distance of approximately ten thousand kilometres from the torch, its light would be too faint for the human eye to detect and the observer would see nothing. That is, a human observer would see nothing; but what about an animal with more sensitive vision? Frogs’ eyes are several times more sensitive than human eyes — just enough to make a significant difference in this experiment. If the observer were a frog, and it kept moving ever farther away from the torch, the moment at which it entirely lost sight of the torch would never come. Instead, the frog would see the torch begin to flicker. The flickers would come at irregular intervals that would become longer as the frog moved farther away. But the brightness of the individual flickers would not diminish. At a distance of one hundred million kilometres from the torch, the frog would see on average only one flicker of light per day, but that flicker would be as bright as any that it observed at any other distance.

Frogs cannot tell us what they see. So in real experiments we use photomultipliers (light detectors which are even more sensitive than frogs’ eyes), and we thin out the light by passing it through dark filters, rather than by observing it from a hundred million kilometres away. This flickering indicates that there is a limit to how thinly light can be evenly spread. Borrowing the terminology of goldsmiths, one might say  that light is not infinitely ‘malleable’. Like gold, a small amount of light can be evenly spread over a very large area, but eventually if one tries to spread it out further it  {34}  gets lumpy. Even if gold atoms could somehow be prevented from clumping together, there is a point beyond which they cannot be subdivided without ceasing to be gold. So the only way in which one can make a one-atom-thick gold sheet even thinner is to space the atoms farther apart, with empty space between them. When they are sufficiently far apart it becomes misleading to think of them as forming a continuous sheet. For example, if each gold atom were on average several centimetres from its nearest neighbour, one might pass one’s hand through the ‘sheet’ without touching any gold at all. Similarly, there is an ultimate lump or ‘atom’ of light, a photon. Each flicker seen by the frog is caused by a photon striking the retina of its eye. What happens when a beam of light gets fainter is not that the photons themselves get fainter, but that they get farther apart, with empty space between them (Figure 2.2).

quantum-experiment

This property of appearing only in lumps of discrete sizes is called quantization. An individual lump, such as a photon, is called a quantum (plural quanta). Quantum theory gets its name from this property, which it attributes to all measurable physical quantities — not just to things like the amount of light, or the mass of gold, which

Imagine… we are… every fiber of our being… and all we see and sense is composed of… and connected to… and in touch with… everything in our universe… and trillions more!

We must be in a dream state where the physical boundaries strip away. bIn delta we can be in two places at once, know all things and even fly… yet stil be in the ground at the same time… full potentiality.

When we allow these waves to interconnect freely with our logic and have a way to gear the data down into usable form, we gain unimaginable intellect.  Many would say we are in a super state or when processing information in this way we could describe ourselves as being “in the zone”.

In such a state, our mental and physical beings improve.  Inner improvements… greater flexibility… more intelligence… broader perspective… these are keys for surviving and gaining from shifts in international investing and business.

We have added frequency modulation workshops in all our courses that teach how to use silence, music and play to get into the zone.  These workshops help delegates enhance productivity and creativity.

The concepts gained show delegates how to create their own program of greater wisdom and help them build new skills at work in study and play. One benefit is that delegates gain tools to quickly become better at any subject.

For example one delegate at a Spanish course found that what she learned also helped her study better. She worote:

“Hi Gary & Merri, You two are the BEST!!! Your Seminar was fantastic! I am so excited. I had procrastinated fulfilling my continuing education for my Broker’s License and then just before my surgeries, I realized my expiration date isn’t Nov. 12th – it is Sept 12th. Well, as you can see prior to taking your course I had only completed 3 units of the required 45 units. I thought I would take your course and then complete my remaining 42 units over the next 2 weeks. However, I took one class exam on Saturday night, August 27th. I didn’t even take the cellophane off the required Course manuals until after I saw the two of you today less than 5 hours ago! I used your techniques and completed 39 units of continuing education today. I have now completed all 45 units. All of my test scores were in the 90.6-96% range. My course exam information is listed below. I just wanted to let you know how valuable your course was to me. Thanks again!”

Our courses always have interesting people.  Our last course had doctors, dentists, business people, personal trainers, teachers, an award winning journalist who was the New York Times art director and even a Pilates teacher who had trained with Joe Pilates the founder of the Pilates technique.

To make it easier to learn about frequency modulation, we have recorded our “Frequency Modulation Workshop”.

You can download the audio recording of this workshop for $99.    Save $99 I’ll email you right away the audio recording of $99 Frequency Modulation Workshop FREE when you enroll in any of the three courses or tours below.
