4 Unusual Gifts That Creates Unusual Success

Here are three unusual factors that can bring you unusual success.  Three legends reveal these factors. They are Winston Churchill, Warren Buffett and the Dalai lama.

churchill

The factors are unusual because the three men could not seem more different yet each is (was) preeminent and almost incomparable in their individual field.

Their endeavors have been totally different, one religion, others business and politics.  That’s unusual because the differences in their lifestyles seem completely apart.  One went to bed about the time another was rising.   One eats McDonald’s hamburgers and sells Colas while another is a vegetarian.  One of these men is celibate and doesn’t drink alcohol or use tobacco.  Another was famous for smoking huge cigars and his prodigious consumption of alcohol every day.

Yet all three used the same three factors to become the legends they are.   We too can use these unusual factors to attain unusual success.

These men have all used the same three factors to achieve vitality and success.  These factors brought them longevity as well.  Churchill lived and remained a member of Parliament to age 89.  Warren Buffet is 85 and still going strong. The Dalai Lama at age 80 remains inspirational and fully engaged.

What unusual factors do the Dalai Lama, Winston Churchill and Warren Buffett have in common?   First, without question, they shared success. They have been absolute, unquestionable leaders in their fields.  What factors brought them this?

These three titans came from such different fields, yes.  They lived very different lifestyles, yes.   The three factors they shared are the same:

Factor #1: Focus.

Factor #2: Routine.

Factor #3: Commitment.

The one especially important factor they all shared is commitment to personal freedom.

The Buddhist teachings exemplified by the Dalai Lama are based on freedom of choice.

Winston Churchill left the army to pursue a career in writing and politics. He chose to be free of  discipline and authority, and wanted to be independent.  He said “With nobody to give me orders or arouse me by bell or trumpet.”  Yet he created an even more strict daily schedule than the army gave him, a routine that he delighted in because he created it himself.

Warren Buffett is considered one of the world’s most successful investors, yet money is not his main goal.  His journey is the reward.  The money is simply a vehicle that brings freedom to design the life he wants to live.

These three behemoths also share an important adherence to routine.  Their routines are incredibly varied but the common factor is their huge commitment to routine.

Buffett is a creature of habit and spends about 80% of everyday reading.  He doesn’t spend his day reading because he has to. He designed it that way.

Churchill had a a seemingly bizarre routine with days that began at 8 am.  After a bath and shave he jumped back in bed and read papers for a couple of hours with a whiskey soda and cigar.  Once the newspapers were read he answered mail, dictated memoranda and greeted any visitors he wanted to see.   Then he worked on speeches and books until a 1:15 lunch.  He enjoyed an unrushed sumptuous lunch.  After the mid-day meal Churchill walked to the pond on his property, fed the ducks and swans and began a period of uninterrupted thought and reflection before either painting, reading, or listening to music.  At 3 pm he took at two hour nap.  5 pm was time to spend a couple of hours with his family.  At 7 pm he took a second bath pondering future speeches and writings before sitting down to a big dinner at 8:30.  At 11:00 pm, Churchill began his second uninterrupted work period, writing usually until 2 am, sometimes even 3 or 4 am.

The Dalai Lama on the other hand wakes around 3 am.  After a morning shower, he begins the day with prayers and meditation until 5 am. At 5 am he walks until breakfast is served at 5.30 am.  During breakfast, the BBC World News is played.  From 6 am to 9 am there is more meditation and prayers. Then at 9 am he studies  Buddhist texts and commentaries written by great Buddhist masters.  Lunch is at 11.30 am.   Office work is from 12.30 pm until 3.30 pm, when typically, interviews are scheduled.  At 5 pm a light evening tea is served before evening prayers and meditation. The Dalai Lama does not eat dinner and retires around 7 pm.

The routines of these great men differ in many respects, but there are aspects of their activity that are common.  First, each routine is based around the person.  They each created a routine that works for them.  Second, each routine has time for plenty of reading.  Before these men act, they intake a great deal of information.  Third, each devotes a great deal of time to focused contemplation.

When Churchill sat at the pond, he preferred solitude.  He would dismiss his servant and sit alone with his reflections.  When Buffett reads, he’s in the zone, closes the windows and shuts off everything.  He focuses entirely on what he’s reading at that moment. The Dalai Lama meditates 4 hours a day.

The common thread that binds these factors and created their greatness is their commitment to mastery.  The routine, the reading, the meditation, contemplation and focus are all integrated to gain mastery over their chosen path.

This is why I want to introduce you to to “Mastery”, I coauthored with Bob Gandt.

“Mastery” shows how to use unusual factors to gain unusual success.

A huge part of the Western population has lost the sweet dream of freedom and expectation of a better life.  Getting ahead has become an empty promise.   Millions have resigned themselves to a slow, insidious erosion in their lifestyle.

Our book, “Mastery” shows how to use the three unusual factors to create a mission plan for reclaiming the Western Dream.

“Mastery” debunks the myths that age, ability and economic stability are limiting.  Mastery shows how, at any age, under any circumstance, you can dramatically improve your health, fitness and life style.

“Mastery” shares how to use the three unusual factors to attain mastery over specifics such as how to:

* Travel the  world with a new zest for adventure.

Gain Everlasting Wealth with Integration

Merri and I learned the Andean circular mindset by living and working with the Taita Yatchak and his apprentices for years.   This mindset is based on a lack of anticipation.  The shamans expect tomorrow to be exactly like today.   Each 24 hours consist of  the same routine; exercise, prayer, eat, study, work, prayer, eat, work, prayer, eat, relax, sleep.  Saturday is market day. This is why festival days are so important as they are great breaks in the routine.

The upside of the Andean shamanic mindset is learning to enjoy what is, in the here and now.   The downside is this mindset inhibits innovation:  positive aggression, forward planning and preparation.  This mindset can be too relaxed without enough concentration.

This circular mindset is very different from the Western linear idea of expansion.  We Westerners sacrifice now to enjoy a bigger and better future. This mindset can suffer from the stress and narrowed perspective from too much concentration.

There are benefits to both lifestyles, but when both mindsets are integrated, we can unlock amazing power through relaxed concentration.

This site is dedicated to helping readers improve their lifestyle by using simplicity and relaxed concentration to create a three tiered foundation that :

* Enhances natural good health.
* Stimulates a pinnacle career.
* Protects purchasing power with Purposeful investing.

This is why I was happy to co-author the book, Mastery, with Bob Gandt.  This book is about how to use commitment to set and accomplish goals, but in a relaxed easy and fulfilling way.

Be Smarter

Join the top 3 percent of intelligent people in the world.

Become more independent and relaxed by becoming smarter.

A study of 10,000 British people studied the pure relationship between intelligence and happiness stability.

IQ can predict the emotional ups and downs of life.   The research found that the lower the IQ,  the more stress and higher the ups and downs in life satisfaction.  The differences were not due to education, income, or jobs either, but simply IQ.

Merri, David and I originally developed this session for our Super Thinking courses and have set it into an online workshop for you.

Listen… just 18 minutes day.  We guarantee your life will be better.

Inflate Your IQ.

When it comes to money… inflation is cheating.

That’s bad for you.

When it comes to intelligence… inflating is smart… fair… good for you and it’s good for the rest of the world.

Monetary inflation is a sneaky government and business trick.

What cost a dollar in 1965 can easily cost $15 now.

They promise you more.

Liars?

They devalue the currency so you get more dollars that buy less.  They can rip off your salary,  your pension…raise insurance, almost everything.

And they make you work harder… longer… for less.

Whittle, whittle, whittle.  Push, push, push.  That’s what monetary inflation does to you.

Fight back… overcome the inflation trick.  Inflate your IQ as you relax.

Gain more than IQ.

Be smarter… more energetic…. healthier… more relaxed.

That’s the way to get ahead!

Create more income opportunity.  Reduce stress.  Improve your health.  Be naturally smarter… use Super Thinking.

You can improve your IQ in just weeks.

You might well ask… How is this possible?

Here’s how the scientists say it is possible.

A Wall Street Journal article entitled “Ways to Inflate Your IQ”(1)  show how you can be smarter and actually add matter to your brainThe article says:

Many people think of IQ as a genetic trait, like brown eyes or short legs: You’re born with it and you’re stuck with it.

Now, a growing body of research is showing that a person’s IQ can rise—and even fall—over the years.

Scores can change gradually or quickly, after as little as a few weeks of cognitive training, research shows.

British students were given IQ tests and brain scans at ages 12 to 16 and again about four years later.  9% of the students showed a significant change of 15 points or more in IQ scores.

The study published in Nature said that on a scale where 90 to 110 is considered average, one student’s IQ rose 21 points to 128 from 107, lifting the student from the 68th percentile to the 97th compared with others the same age.

MRIs in this study showed changes in gray matter in areas corresponding to fluctuations in the kid’s skills.

There are practical steps people can take to see longer-term IQ changes.  New tasks stimulate the brain most.  Young adults given just one month of intense training in juggling, found an increase in the corresponding gray matter in the brain as early as seven days after the training began.

Fluctuations in IQ scores over time underscore the brain-boosting benefits of musical training and new experiences throughout a lifetime.

Music lessons are linked to higher IQ throughout life.  Six years’ lessons lifted children’s IQ scores an average 7.5 points.

Improve the brain through music… without lessons.

Here’s the Super Thinking story…

The educational program Merri and I developed uses a form of brain wave integration that increases IQ.

Super Thinking uses frequency (in music and a number of other ways) to integrate brain waves so the process of absorbing, processing and recalling information is vastly accelerated.  The music creates the three C’s:  Calm, Clarity and Coherence.

This Super Thinking program is not a gimmick or trick… just advanced education.

Certain types of Baroque music are the base, and they make you smarter!

Proof?

At least four best selling books, “Psychic Discoveries Behind the Iron Curtain”,  “Superlearning”, the “Mozart Effect” and “Superlearning 2000″ showed how to learn and think more powerfully based on systems drawn from the Bulgarian educational master, Dr. Georgi Lozanov.

This Baroque music tactic alone is so powerful that Small Business Innovation Research… an official site of the US government granted over $100,000 for the specific purpose they said was: to provide a method to remove barriers which hinder or prevent the employment of blind persons.  An innovative method, the Lozanov Learning System, is proposed to help train blind persons to become computer programmers and operators of automated equipment.

Merri was among just a few who learned this technique directly from Dr. Lozanov the time he visited the USA.

Our Super Thinking workshop enhanced this system with numerous other tactics.

We added slight alterations in nutrition that create a higher IQ.   Altered nutritional tips in Super Thinking can make anyone 25% smarter!

Baroque Music and nutrition are just part of seven, easy to use, learning techniques that make you smarter.

Gain any skill, from computers to athletics to conversational languages…in less time…two-to-five times faster.

Here’s a huge bonus.  Super Thinking also relieves stress.  Super Thinking is fun.

You can use a Super Thinking focus in everything:  health… earning… education… investing.

Super Thinking works on the learner first…the data second.  This system “grows the learner” rather than the information.

If you have 4.5 inches of information flowing through a 4 inch learning pipe, the solution is not to add another inch of information.  The answer is create a six inch IQ pipe!

Share our years of experience.

For nearly 50 years, Merri and I have conducted hundreds of courses and tours for tens of thousands, in dozens of countries (even behind the Iron Curtain).  Our Super Thinking Workshop has been one of the most profound.  Now the workshop is even better online because it condenses Super Thinking so you can increase your IQ, at home… right away.

The workshop shows how these mind expanding tactics can be applied to starting and running a business for extra income, to forex trading and investing.  Athletes of all types… golfing being one common sport benefit.  Our Super Thinking plan goes far beyond Lozanov and allows you to rapidly get smarter in every part of your life.

For example, real estate broker, Suzy Kurinsky took the workshop to help her learn Spanish.

She wrote: “You are the BEST!!! Your Seminar was fantastic! I am so excited. I had procrastinated fulfilling my continuing education for my Broker’s License and then just before my surgeries, I realized by expiration date isn’t Nov. 12th – it is Sept 12th. Prior to taking your course I had only completed 3 units of the required 45 units. I thought I would take your course and then complete my remaining 42 units over the next 2 weeks. However, I took one class exam on Saturday night, August 27th. I didn’t even take the cellophane off the required Course manuals until after I saw the two of you today less than 5 hours ago! I used your techniques and completed 39 units of continuing education today. I have now completed all 45 units. All of my test scores were in the 90.6-96% range.  My course exam information is listed below. I just wanted to let you know how valuable your course was to me. Thanks again!”

Super thinking can improve almost anything you do… faster, better, more fun and with less stress.

Another attendee to the Super Thinking Workshop sent this note.

Thank you for the wonderful workshop on Super Learning + Spanish!  I really enjoyed the workshop and getting to know you.   I can see several ways to apply what I learned in the classes I teach.

Since I returned home, I have purchased some of the CDs of Baroque music and thought about which specific pieces will work best in different parts of my classes.  I am also reading Perfect Health by Deepak Chopra.  I found your discussion of this book to be very helpful in showing how to balance one’s life.  I have adjusted my daily schedule, and I can already notice a difference in my productivity.

Super Thinking can help improve your health. Super Thinking can make you rich and add richness to your life.

However the time, travel expense and workshop cost (delegates have paid up to $999) have prohibited many from getting this benefit.

That’s why we have created the workshop in electronic form.  Get Super Thinking online for less than fifty bucks.

Relax in the Secret Rose Garden.

The workshop is divided into two parts.  Part one is the application… the sessions that tell you exactly what to do, what music to use and even includes two recorded sessions based around a secret rose garden that you can use.  We have kept this portion short and simple so you can easily start immediately.

Part two is a longer portion on theory.

Part one is enough.

Super Thinking is like jogging… giving results if you simply do it!

You do not have to know why Super Thinking works to increase your IQ.   But Part Two explains why you are getting the good results from Part One, if you want to know.

You might ask…”Will it work for me”?

Another Super Thinking workshop attendee wrote: Listening to the two of you during our time together has suddenly got me to thinking, and although some of the ideas still seem foreign to me,  I am at a point in my life now where I can say, “anything is possible”.   I am now willing to embrace and allow myself to experience the world of possibility and let it take me in directions I may have in the past resisted.  I really don’t know where all this is going to lead me but I am now willing to explore, develop and grow.   Thank you again for a wonderful four days!!

EZ Lose Weight With Essential Oils

Another wonderful way non-exercise, non-dietary way to control weight is with essential oils that keep energy high, blood sugar and digestion strong, blood sugar and hormonal balance correct and hunger craving down.  This is the third message in an EZ Weight Loss series.  Links to  Part 1 “Delicious EZ Way to Lose Weight” (1) and Part 2 “Weight Loss With Reverse Engineering – Three EZ Weight Loss Exercises” (2) are below.

I use essential oils every day for many reasons including keeping my hunger in check and my digestion strong.  I asked our friend, Candace Newman, her recommendations on the best EZ ways to use essential oils to make weight control.

candace

Our friend Candace Newman, The Oil Aromatherapy Lady.

Candace sent this note:  Since essential oils affect our entire system and sense of well-being, they are an excellent addition to any balanced eating and digestion program. We use them in their pure state (not mixed in a base ingredient) for inhalation, a “direct zap” to the brain. This changes the brain chemistry sent to cells in the gut. We use them properly mixed in base ingredients for safe application to the skin for calming and balancing belly rubs.

The Essential Oil Two-Step for Balanced Eating & Digestion:

Step #1: About 20 minutes prior to each meal, be still and take 5-7 deep breaths directly from the bottle of the Balancer Essential Oil Combination 10 ml (in no base oils).  Close your eyes and feel the zap into your brain. Be mindful of how it makes you feel and set your intention. This can be done again at 10 minutes, and then again at 5 minutes before the meal if needed.

Step #2. After the meal (or before the 15 minute stroll), apply the Balancer Blend 4 oz essential oils in a base oil to your nose, temples and back of neck at hairline. Rub in gently and thoroughly. Then if time and place permits: do a slow and gentle Belly Rub in clockwise circles to promote ease and digestion.

Our proprietary master formula of our Balancer Blend essential oils is: Lavender to balance the nervous system, Orange and Peppermint for digestion, and Chamomile for nerves and the smooth flow of digestion.

Candace also sent a note about the option that Merri and I use personally, her Rejuvenation Formula.  She wrote: Over the past 23 years of our Rejuvenation Formula, some people feel a deep soulful connection to these ancient essential oils. So, it balances them in many ways on many levels.

rose essential oil

Thus the Rejuvenation Essential Oil Combination 4 ml and the Rejuvenation Oil Blend 1 oz can be used as above, if one prefers.

Rejuvenation Oil Blend 1 oz:  Click here to learn more.

Candace added a note: Essential oils are highly concentrated volatile liquids, that can be toxic to the body and interfere with medications if not used properly.

Essential oils are powerful.  A little goes a very long way. Just a drop and a whiff will do the job. Use them with moderation.

Important Note About Moderation

Do NOT overindulge in anything. For example the first message in this series, “A Delicious Way to Lose Weight with Turmeric” says that more turmeric is not better.  Our friend, Blaine Watson, who lived in India for years and works regularly with ayurvedic physicians reminds us of the importance of using ONLY a little turmeric every day, not a lot.

Blaine wrote: “Gary, remember that a diet high in Turmeric for westerners can kill them.  Literally.  Turmeric squeezes the liver.  The western liver, not raised on turmeric like it is in India, will start to detox massively.  This can cause serious detox trauma and this we try to avoid at all costs.  The toxins coming out can be as deadly as the toxins going in, especially in the cold season when the channels tighten up.   All detox is reserved for the warm season when the channels are open.  Cooking with a little turmeric every day is what is recommended but not a diet HIGH in turneric.”

A recent survey asked the question. “What are the most important life goals?” After thousands of replies the top answer was “Being Healthy”.   One of the most important keys to being healthy is good nutrition and weight control.  The three ideas in this series can help enhance our natural health and keep things in life EZ.

Gain From Election Volatility

Here we are again… another election on its way… all the robo calls from politicians… the dirty tricks and the innumerable amounts of nonsense this vital process brings.

However America’s politics turn out, one thing is sure.  There will be volatility in stock markets during the election process.

The first reason markets will bounce has nothing to do with politics or policies.   A market correction is due regardless of the party or the person in office.

Second the new politics has created an uncertain era.  Everyone has been shaken over the past three years whether they are pleased with the government or not.

Nothing frightens markets like uncertainty.

Third if we see rising interest rates, this will push markets down.

Despite these pitfalls, there is a way to profit using the strong US dollar and undervalue non dollar stock markets to pick up good value shares.

During nearly five decades of global investing I have noticed found that good value strategies are the best way to profit long term, through good politics and bad.  The steps to take are simple.

The first tactic is to seek safety before profit.

We can look at Warren Buffett’s investing strategy as an example.  Buffett success is talked about a lot, but rarely does anyone explain how he make so much money.  That was the fact until some researchers really stripped his operation bare.  They looked at everything and learned the deepest of Buffett’s wealth management secrets.  Fortunately they published all in a research paper at Yale University’s website. that reveals important truths about extending wealth.

This research shows that the stocks Buffett chooses are safe (with low beta and low volatility), cheap (value stocks with low price – to – book ratios), and high quality (stocks of companies that are profitable, stable, growing, and with high payout ratios).

The second tactic is to maintain staying power.  At times Buffet’s portfolio has fallen, but he has been willing and able to wait long periods for the value to reveal itself and prices to recover.

A 45 year portfolio study shows that holding a diversified good value portfolio (based on a  good value strategy) for 13 month’s time, increases the probability of outperformance to 70%.

However those who can hold the portfolio for five years gain a 88% probability of beating the bellwether in the market and after ten years the probability increases to 97.5%.

Time is your friend when you use a good value strategy.  The longer you can hold onto a well balanced good value portfolio the better the odds of outstanding success.

The Buffett strategy integrates time and value for safety and profit.

A third tactic is using limited leveraging, tactic in the strategy boosts profit.  Buffett leverages his portfolio at a ratio of approximately 1.6 to 1.   The Yale published research paper shows the leveraging methods used by Warren Buffett to amass his $50 billion fortune.  The researchers found that the returns from Buffett’s investment company, Berkshire Hathaway, far outweighed those achieved by any rival that has operated for 30 years or more.  The research shows that neither luck nor magic are involved.  Instead, the paper shows that Buffet’s success hinges on using leverage at the rate of 1.6.

To sum up the strategy, Buffet uses limited leverage to invest in large purchases of “cheap, safe, quality stocks”.  He limits leverage so he can hold on for very long periods of time, surviving rough periods where others might have been forced into a fire sale or a career shift.

Stated in another way buffet uses logic (buy good value) to have the conviction, wherewithal, and skill to invest with leverage over many decades.

What do we do when we are not Warren Buffett?

May I introduce the Purposeful Investing Course (Pi) for those who want to invest like Warren Buffet, but know they are not.  This course is based on my 50 plus years of investing experience combined with wisdom gained from some of the world’s best investment managers and economic mathematical scientists.

Enjoy Extending Wealth

Pi’s mission is to make it easy for anyone to create a three point strategy, like Buffett’s even though they do not have a lot of time for or knowledge about investing.

Pi reveals investing secrets and the sciences that make investing easy, safer, less time consuming and increases the chances of profit.

One secret is to invest with a purpose beyond the cash.  One tactic as mentioned is staying power.  This means not being caught short and having to sell during a period of loss.  This also means having enough faith in a strategy that we stick to the plan.  When we invest with purpose, doing what we love, we enjoy the process more and are more likely to hold on during down times, when most poor investors panic and sell.

Slow, Worry Free, Good Value Investing

Stress, worry and fear are three of an investor’s worst enemies.  They create the Behavior Gap, a trait exhibited by most investors, that causes them to underperform any market sector they choose.  The behavior gap is created by natural human responses to fear.   Pi helps create profitable strategies that avoid losses from this gap.

Spanning the Behavior Gap

Behavior gaps are among the biggest reasons why so many investors fail.  Human evolution makes fear the second most powerful motivator.  (Greed is the third.)  Fear creates investment losses due to behavior gaps.  Fear motivates us more strongly than desire.  By nature investors are risk adverse.

Winning investors though embrace risk because they have a plan based on good value.

Purpose is the most powerful motivator,  stronger than fear and greed, so a strategy with purpose is the most powerful of all.

Combine your needs and capabilities with good value secrets and the math to back up your value selections through the Pifolio – The Pi Model Portfolio

Lessons from Pi are based on the creation and management of a Primary Pi Model Portfolio, called the Pifolio.  There are no secrets about this portfolio except that it ignores the stories (often created by someone with vested interests) and is based entirely on good math.

The Pifolio is a theoretical portfolio of MSCI Country Benchmark Index ETFs that cover all the good value markets using my (almost) 50 years of global experience and my study of the analysis of four mathematical investing geniuses (and friends).

The Pifolio analysis begins with a continual research of international major stock markets that compares their value based on:

#1:  Current book to price

#2: Cash flow to price

#3: Earnings to price

#4: Average dividend yield

#5: Return on equity

#6: Cash flow return.

#7: Market history

We follow this research of a brilliant mathematician and have tracked this analysis for over 20 years.    This is a complete and continual study of international major and emerging stock markets.

This analysis forms the basis of a Good Value Stock Market Strategy.   The analysis is rational, mathematical and does not worry about short term ups and downs.   This strategy is easy for anyone to follow and use.  Pi reveals the best value markets and provides contacts to managers and analysts and Country Index ETFs so almost anyone can create and follow their own strategy.

A country ETF provides diversification and cost efficiency by spreading one simple, even small investment into a basket of equities in a good value stock market.  The costs are low and this type of ETF is one of the hardest for institutions to cheat.  Expense ratios for most ETFs are lower than those of the average mutual fund.

Little knowledge, time, management or guesswork are required.  The investment is simply a diversified portfolio of good value indices.  Investments in an index are like investments in all the shares of a good value market.

Pi matches this mathematical certainty with my fifty years of experience. This opens insights to numerous long term cycles that most investors miss because they have not been investing long enough to see them.

For example in the 1980s, a remarkable set of two economic circumstances helped anyone who spotted them become remarkably rich.  Some of my readers made enough to retire.  Others picked up 50% currency gains.  Then the cycle ended.  Warren Buffett explained the importance of this ending in a 1999 Fortune magazine interview.  He said:  Let me summarize what I’ve been saying about the stock market: I think it’s very hard to come up with a persuasive case that equities will over the next 17 years perform anything like—anything like—they’ve performed in the past 17!

I did well then, but always thought, “I should have invested more!”  Now those circumstances have come together and I am investing in them again.

The circumstances that created fortunes 30 years ago were an overvalued US market (compared to global markets) and an overvalued US dollar.

The two conditions are in place again!  There are currently ten good value (non US) developed markets,  plus 10 good value emerging markets.

Pi shows how to easily create a diversified, worry free portfolio in some of these good value markets using Country Index ETFs.

The current strength of the US dollar is a second remarkable similarity to 30 years ago.   The dollar rose along with Wall Street.  Profits came quickly over three years.  Then the dollar dropped like a stone, by 51%  in just two years.  A repeat of this pattern is growing and could create up to 50% extra profit if we start using strong dollars to accumulate good value stock market ETFs in other currencies.

This is the most exciting opportunity I have seen since we started sending our reports on international investing ideas more than three decades ago.  There is so much more to write and the trends are so clear that I have created a short, but powerful report “Three Currency Patterns For 50% Profits or More.”   This report shows how to earn an extra 50% from currency shifts with even small investments.  I kept the report short and simple, but included links to 153 pages of  Good Value Stock Market research and Asset Allocation Analysis.

The report shows 20 good value investments and a really powerful tactic that shows the most effective and least expensive way to accumulate these bargains in large or even very small amounts (less than $5,000).  There is extra profit potential of at least 50% so the report is worth a lot.

This report sells for $29.95 but you’ll receive the report “Three Currency Patterns For 50% Profits or More” FREE when you subscribe to Pi.

Leverage

Pi also explains when leverage provides extra potential without undo risk.  For example in 1986 I issued a report called “The Silver Dip” that showed how to borrow 12,000 British pounds (at almost 1.6 to 1 dollars per pound the loan created US$18,600) and use the loan to buy 3835 ounces of silver at around US$4.85 an ounce.

Silver had crashed, I mean really crashed from $48 per ounce.  As prices decreased from early 1983 into 1986, total supply had fallen to 449.7 million ounces in 1986.  Mine production was restricted by the low prices at this time, with silver reaching a low for this period of $4.85 in May 1986.  Secondary recovery also was constricted by these low prices.

Then silver’s price skyrocketed to over $11 an ounce within a year.  The $18,600 loan was now worth $42,185.

The loan was in pounds and in May 1986 the dollar pound rate was 1.55 dollars per pound.  So the 12,000 pound loan purchased $18,600 of silver.  The pound then crashed to 1.40 dollars per silver.  The loan could be paid off for $13,285 immediately creating an extra $5,314 profit.  The profit grew to $47,499 in just a year.

Conditions for the silver dip have returned.  The availability of low cost loans and silver are at an all time low.  The price of silver has crashed from nearly $50 an ounce to below $14 as did shares of the iShares Silver ETF (SLV).

Imagine investing in a spike like this… with leverage!

At the same time the silver gold ratio hit 80, a strong sign to invest in precious metals.

I have updated a special report “Silver Dip 2019” about a leveraged silver speculation that can increase the returns in a safe portfolio by as much as eight times.  The purpose of the report is to share long term lessons gained through 30 years of speculating and investing in precious metals.  While working on the report, when the gold silver ratio slipped to 80 and the price of silver dropped below $14 an ounce, I knew I needed to share this immediately.

I released a new report “Silver Dip 2015” so readers were able to take advantage of these conditions and leverage 1.6 times as a speculation.  That report generated profits as high as 212% and a revised 2019 issue has been produced.

“The Silver Dip 2109”  sells for $39.95 but  you receive  “Silver Dip 2019” FREE when you subscribe to Pi.

Lose Weight with Three EZ Reverse Engineering Exercises

Here are three simple exercises that can reverse engineer hunger patterns and help us to lose weight.

A recent survey asked the question. “What are the most important life goals?” After thousands of replies the top answer was “Being Healthy”.   One of the most important keys to being healthy is good nutrition and weight control.   This is part two in this series can help enhance our natural health and keep things in life EZ.

A link to part one “Delicious EZ Way to Lose Weight”  (1) is below.

To lose a pound requires burning somewhere between 2,800 and 3,750 calories.  An accepted standard is 3,500 calories.  There is some argument that because the body holds onto fat if it loses weight fast, even more burnt calories may be required to lose a pound.

Losing weight with exercise is not the answer because the average runner burns about 100 calories per mile.  Walking at a three mile per hour pace (20 minute mile) takes between 9 and 15 hours to lose a pound depending on weight.

marathon

From article “Three Reasons Not to Run a Marathon” (2).  A 4th reason not to run a marathon is to lose weight!

Eat a Cheesecake Factory bistro shrimp pasta (3,129 calories).  Go run a marathon (if possible).  The calorie loss might not even break even.  Running might require 30 miles or walking all day to become even from a caloric point of view.  Enjoy a Red Robin Peppercorn Monster Burger, served with a side of steak fries, and a Monster Salted Caramel Milkshake,  (3,540 calories) requires that we would have to run an extra four miles or one to two walking hours.

Most of us won’t find exercise a practical weight loss solution, so let’s reverse engineer the process and look at three exercises that can help reduce hunger so we won’t consume the calories in the first place!

merrily-farms

When at our farm, I walk this path almost every day after a meal.

Exercise #1:  Take shorter walks, but at the right time.  Walk after a meal.  Many studies have shown that a post-meal walk, as short as 15 minutes, can in fact help with digestion and improve blood sugar levels.  In a study published in 2009, researchers found that a 20-minute walk about 15 minutes after dinner led to lower post-meal blood sugar levels more than either a walk before dinner or no walking at all. Another study, found that walking for 15 minutes shortly after each meal improved daily blood sugar levels better than a single 45-minute walk in the morning.  The post-meal stroll causes more of the glucose in the bloodstream to be taken up by the muscles instead of converting it into fat.

Exercise #2:  Rub the stomach.  In his book “The Book of Internal Exercises”,  (3) Dr. Stephen Chang tells how rubbing our stomachs can promote proper digestion, sound sleep and a healthy heart.  This is a weight loss method of ancient Chinese sages called The Crane.

It is only a 2 minute exercise.  First, lay flat on your back.  Put the palm of your right hand on your navel.  Simply rub clockwise from the center outwards. Start with small circles. Slowly with gentle pressure expand the movement until all the stomach and abdomen have been rubbed.  Rub slowly and with gentle pressure. Rubbed outwards for 1 minute. Then reverse directions and run inwards from large to small circles.

The Crane uses the body’s electricity to gently massage the intestines, the blood vessels, and the digestive and eliminatory system.  The fatty accumulations and deposits are disrupted and passed into the eliminatory system and out of the body.

Exercise #3: Exercise the sphincter muscles.

Dr. Paula Garbourg’s book “Secret of the Ring Muscles” (5) shows one simple exercise for better digestion and weight control. This is so simple yet so powerful because it only has to do with the way you chew. Here is what she says:

Chewing should be done with the lips closed, but with the oral cavity open as wide as possible. When chewing is done correctly the lower sphincters and intestines can be felt working in rhythm and causing the abdomen to contract.

All the sphincter muscles are connected so when you exercise the oral sphincters with this type of chewing, you exercise them all.  The functioning of the sphincters is closely linked to the correct functioning of digestion.  Good digestion improves nutrition and helps reduce food cravings.

The final most important action for weight control is to make a commitment.  The power of commitment cannot be overestimated.

Commitment is the key to gaining mastery over your hunger. The ability to create mastery is a fundamental to success in any field, in any place, at any time, and at any age.  This is an era when the value of experience is worth more than the cost of getting it, so everyone over or approaching age 50 should read the latest book I wrote with Bob Gandt, “MASTERY: A Mission Plan for Reclaiming a Life of Purpose, Fitness, and Achievement”.

To make it possible for everyone to read this valuable book and because I need your help, you can gain the benefits of mastery free.

“Mastery” is about how to create and fulfill missions for health, enjoyment, happiness, ideals, education, friendships and wealth.

Regain That Old Feeling

You can regain that old feeling of energy and health.

Bon and Anne Gandt

Bob Gandt and his wife Anne after Bob completed a 2012 Clermont, Florida triathlon.  He took first place in the over-70 group.

A recent survey asked our most important questions. “What are the most important life goals?”

After thousands of replies the seven top answers in order of importance were first, “Being Healthy”.  “Enjoying Life”.  “Being Happy and Content”  was third and – “Pursuing Ideals & Passions” fourth. “Achieving Intellectual Growth”  fifth,  “Having Close Friendships” sixth and finally “Having Financial Freedom” was seventh.

You can fulfill this entire bucket list with mastery.

I was delighted when my friend, Bob Gandt, asked if I could participate in writing a book together about mastery.

The underlying foundation that fulfills all desires is the same; mastery.

Mastery is the ability to start and complete personal missions, with friends, family and health.   Mastery makes every aspect of life better.

For example, “Mastery” has an entire section on how to improve our natural health one step at a time.  The Peak Health section provides safe, sane, effective ides on nutrition and how to have more health with less effort.  Learn the power of posture and how to sleep better in this section.  There is also a section on fitness and how much fitness helps natural health and success in every part of life.

Another section of “Mastery” shows how to increase the powers of the mind.  In this section we learned the fast way to slow down, how to use muscle memory and expand our intuition bandwidth. Learn how to use zoning, super thinking and super reading to become smarter.

The “Embracing the New” section shows ways to make friends and have more adventure in life at any age.  See how to embrace technology, gain transformative power from travel and create missions great and small.

Part Five of Mastery: The Anti-Retirement section helps how to be sure we never run out of money.  Gain power from a pinnacle career.  Earn by following your passion. Learn how to stay mission capable and earn with a writing mission.

Bob Gandt has special credentials to share how to learn, earn and enjoy with writing.

Flying, writing and running have been Bob Gandt’s dual passions.  He published his first story at age sixteen – the same year he first soloed an airplane. Since then he has accrued something over 25,000 hours, written fifteen books and countless articles.

While being the U. S. Navy’s youngest pilot at one time Bob logged over 300 carrier landings and nearly 2,000 hours in the A-4 Skyhawk.

For over thirty years he was an international airline pilot, with Pan Am and Delta Airlines, domiciled in Berlin, Hong Kong, New York, San Francisco, and Atlanta.  He has sixteen books published by major publishers including Viking Penguin Press, Wm. Morrow & Co., Naval Institute Press, Penguin Putnam and Random House.

While Bob lived in Hong Kong he joined a group of runners called the Hash House Harriers, an international group of non-competitive, running social clubs.  Gaining mastery over running up and down the hills of Hong Kong started Bob on a lifelong trek towards  better health.

The way Bob and I have gained so many  mastery ideas during our global lifestyles makes Mastery an easy, but must read.

Bob Gandt

A majority of our readers are Boomers and at age 50 above so I was captivated by the idea of a book on how to make the years after age fifty the best year yet.  I felt very privileged that Bob asked my to co-write a book about the power of missions and how they can make your life better, fuller and more abundant at any age, but especially after 50.

We did it.  For the past year we have enjoyed this labor of love and have written “Mastery, A Mission Plan for Reclaiming a Life of Purpose, Fitness, and Achievement”.

This book offers Bob’s and my best ideas on how to lead a meaningful life, every day regardless of your age.

So you know Bob better I have included a brief video in which Bob is featured.   There is food for thought for anyone, at any age in any endeavor in this video!

Here is the introduction to “Mastery, A Mission Plan for Reclaiming a Life of Purpose, Fitness, and Achievement”.

Something is Missing

You know the feeling. It hits you an hour before dawn. You’re lying awake in the darkness. A nagging uneasiness has settled on you like a fever. You can’t put a name to it or locate the source of the feeling. You only know that something isn’t right.

Something is missing.

Life ought to be sweet. You’re retired. On permanent vacation. Life is supposed to be carefree. And it is, sort of. You can’t help worrying about money. Or, more precisely, running out of money. Two recessions, an imploded real estate market, and a capricious stock market have done a number on your net worth. Your income stream has dwindled.

And your health. . . well, it’s on a par with your contemporaries. Same elevated blood pressure, cholesterol, joint problems. Standard senior stuff. That’s what meds are for, right? It gives you something to talk about at lunch.

You passed on the hardball stuff—running, free weights, singles tennis, high-energy aerobics. Had to preserve the knees, shoulders, heart. A few rounds of golf and a Sunday walk are enough. Granted, that paunch and jowly jaw weren’t in the photo the day you handed in the ID card, peeled your name from the office door, drove out of the parking lot.

You headed into retirement like a stranger into a strange land. The mantra was stay busy. Keep yourself occupied. Take the obligatory cruise, visit the relatives, hit the parks, see the shows, spend time with the grandkids. Your days filled with busyness— errands, social events, yard work, games, lunch with friends, fixing things around the house, checking email, forwarding stuff to friends.

It was a shared joke: Before you retired, how did you ever find time to work?

One day folded into the next, leaving scarcely a trace. Months passed. Years. Time swept around you like the water of a fast-running stream. And sometimes in a reflective moment you wondered:

Where did it go?

What did it mean?

Why do I have this feeling that something is missing?

It’s more than a feeling. The uneasiness you sense is real and justified. Something is missing. You haven’t identified it because it’s an intangible, nearly indefinable part of the life that you left behind. It’s called mission. Without a mission, your energy, brainpower, and creative spirit are being dispersed like chaff in the wind. You are operating on a level far below your optimum plateau.

To have a mission is to have purpose. Direction. A set of goals. Human beings of every age and disposition—civic volunteers, soldiers, greeters, teachers, astronauts, corporate chiefs, caregivers, truck drivers, writers—function at their highest level when they have a mission.

And so will you. With a mission—and a mission plan—you will attain a new level of performance. You will learn new skills, become physically and mentally stronger, perform at a level higher than you ever believed possible. You will become an advanced human being. You will be on the road to Mastery.

That Old Feeling

The road to Mastery is a long and winding route. The path is lined with waypoints, forks, obstacles. Along the way choices must be made, commitments honored, promises kept. Particularly the promises you make to yourself. As you progress on this journey, you will observe changes in yourself. You may discover that you can do things you thought were out of your reach.

These might include:

— recapturing the physical fitness and mental agility you believed were lost forever.
— starting a business that provides a steady income stream and restores your creative spirit.
— becoming fluent in the foreign language you believed only kids could learn.
— recovering muscle mass that you’ve lost as you’ve aged, despite what you’ve been told.
— writing the novel, memoir, or how-to book you’ve secretly dreamed about—and see it published and sold.
— learning to meditate, recharge, and revitalize your brain and body.
— acquiring new skills: photography, computers, martial arts, oil painting, chess, cooking.
— running, riding road bikes, swimming in the ocean, climbing a mountain.
— learning the piano, guitar, saxophone, or any musical instrument you choose.
— reading 1000+ words a minute and retain what you learn.
— memorizing entire pages of text, strings of numbers, lists of names.

And at some point in your journey a realization will strike you. That nagging uneasiness that used to settle over you in the pre-dawn darkness? It’s gone. It’s been replaced by another sensation. One you’d almost forgotten. That old feeling. It’s the feeling from years ago when the world was fresh and nothing seemed beyond your reach. It’s that ready-for-action surge you had when your feet hit the floor in the morning. That kickass feeling when you headed out the door for a five mile run. That heady, take-no-prisoners exultation you sensed when you knew you were going to close the deal before you walked into a meeting. The blissful satisfaction that warmed your tired body when you crossed the finish line of the long race.

You remember it.  The feeling of empowerment.  Independence.  Self-determination.  Fulfillment.  It’s still there, and you can get it back.
