Are We 13 Months From Disaster?

Are we on the verge of the biggest financial disaster seen in our time…. a disaster waiting to happen that’s likely to take place in less than 13 months?

Could this wrath… that comes from fake news, change your life dramatically even this year?

If so, you can be one of the few who use this downfall to create a solid financial position, even though it will bring financial disaster for most investors.

Learn how to beat the upcoming economic melt down in a no-risk, amazingly simple way.

The crash may be imminent because information technology is changing at a rampant pace and some “Fake News”… that’s just ahead… could hit us any day, and it will destroy all the centuries of proven wealth building secrets.

Most investors will be swept away.

Fortunately, you don’t have to be a part of the ruin.

Knowing what to do before this disaster hits can solidify your savings and investments… fix your income safely for life, in just a few short years… even in less than 13 months!

And it’s not just oil tycoons, steel barons, and bankers who’ve earned immense profits thanks to a new twist you’ll learn on a timeless strategy, that you can learn below.

Anyone can eliminate the upcoming financial turnover with a strategy, that simplifies information.

gold

Gold and value protect us from fake news.

The huge risk is coming because information (or lack thereof) has always been the key to investing success and disaster.

Please consider this fact.

Before the telegraph became mainstream, one New York based robber baron made a fortune using carrier pigeons to get news faster from the West.

That was smart investing. Then he had an idea (hence the nickname “robber”).

He thought, “Why not manipulate the news?”  If his pigeons brought good news from San Francisco, he spread bad news in New York, then quietly bought up shares that would rise when the truth came out.  He made even more profit at the expense of others.

If the pigeons were bearers of bad news (like the San Francisco earthquake) he floated some good news and started selling.  He made a fortune.   Thousands of investors who bought the good news, lost… often everything.

Avoiding manipulation of information has also been a key to investing success… and it is more urgent, but harder than ever before.

A research study of stock market manipulation shows that information deception is common.

The study, entitled “Stock Market Manipulations” (1) made in a special program at the University of Houston shows how fake news can lead to disaster.

This research is important because it was done by a university, not a bank or business where information manipulation is rampant.  University of Houston is high ranking in the 2020 edition of “Best Colleges” and the report came from a special graduate program for business at the uni’s  C.T. Bauer College of Business that connects industry to academia.

This is Houston’s most comprehensive business school and the faculty leading the research there are distinguished scholars who have substantial backgrounds in the professional world, providing first-hand experiences in business.  Their research is for study, not profit… no hidden agendas… no axes to grind… no reputations to protect… no share prices to pump and dump.

The study shows how stock market manipulation can occur in a variety of ways, from insider trading that pumps up stock price to accounting and earnings manipulation.

The research shows that it’s not just individuals who manipulate markets.  One case study entitled “The Cartel” shows how in 2015, five of the world’s largest banks, Citibank JPMorgan, Chase, Barclays, UBS, and Royal Bank of Scotland were involved in rigging the U.S. dollar-to-euro exchange rate, stealing millions from currency investors who were unaware.

This was not Citibank’s first market manipulation either.  A decade earlier while trading in Eurozone bonds, Citigroup was able to profit from market rules by placing orders to sell 11 billion euros worth of 200 different bonds within two minutes, thus taking advantage of the forced slow adjustment of prices. Citigroup later repurchased 4 billion euros worth of bonds before many dealers stopped trading and netted a profit over 15 million dollars in just hours.

These are not isolated cases either.  The research found 142 cases of stock market manipulation over the ten years covered in the study.

Market manipulation was up 37% in a decade, according to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).  In fact, nowadays, it’s par for the course.  Numerous hedge fund managers have admitted that they habitually manipulating the market.  They call it “a fun and lucrative game”.

Social media and fake news make stock manipulation even worse.

Examples?  A couple of years ago there was a barrage of news about Russian hacking and Russia retaliatory sanctions of shutting down the Anglo-American School of Moscow. This was an unverified, unsourced, and totally incorrect story published by CNN and Business Insider, but it helped push Russian shares prices down.

In 2013 a hacked Associated Press tweet about an “explosion” that injured Barack Obama wiped out $130 billion in stock value in a matter of minutes.  Stock prices recovered shortly but those who lowered the price of a stock and knew there was no explosion and that stocks would recover were in a position to make hundreds of millions in high frequency trading in minutes.

This type of fake news manipulation is increasing in speed and the problem grows every day.  Disinformation makes us question everything.   This creates three event risks that will grow rapidly and suddenly over the next year.

The three risks for fake news are, the Trump impeachment investigation, the 2020 Presidential election and an overvalued, US stock market.

These three calamities can come together… at any times between now and the 2020 Presidential election… to create a market wrath that investors have rarely seen.

The reason these three distortions are so dangerous now is that stock markets traditionally moved in 30 years cycles.  The chart below from Macrotrends.net (3) portrays this clearly.  The market highs and lows over the century are about 30 years apart…  until 2013, when the market was expected to shift from bull to bear.

Artificially induced low interest rates kept the US market afloat.

macrotrends.com

Overextended, poor value, bull markets are disasters just waiting to happen.

The crash begins with some form of bad news.  This news trigger, that causes the equity stampede, is normally not even relevant… just a spark that starts the fire… a straw that breaks the camels back.

Yet when the bulls stampede and turn into bears… the results are truly ugly for the average investor.   The tiny spark that will ruin millions does not even have to be true.

We, as investors, are terribly vulnerable to fake news.   The solution is a long term portfolio of good value equities and precious metals.

Why precious metals and value equities?

Both the metal and value asset classes always rise in the darkest hours because they are timeless.

Horace, the Roman poet, wrote about the value of time in one of his epic poems.

“Time will bring to light whatever is hidden; it will cover up and conceal what is now shining in splendor.”

Time reveals truth and truth overcomes fake news.

Here’s the reason why a value equity-gold-silver balanced portfolio is the first step in surviving the upcoming stock market rout.

Another chart at macrotrends.net (4) shows the price of gold for over 100 years.   Compare gold’s price movement to the Dow Jones Industrial chart above.  When the Dow is up, gold’s price is down and vice versa.

Equities combined with precious metals create a balancing act that provides safety and liquidity when it’s needed most.

macrotrends.com

Why equities?

Research at Keppler Asset Management (more on Keppler in a moment) provides an 88 year view of various investment alternatives.

The performance clearly reveals that while precious metals provide stability, equities provide the best long term results.

keppler

Why Value Equities instead of Growth equities?

Another Keppler, 86 year study outlines that growth equities are good, but in the long term, value shares dramatically outperform growth stocks, by 2.1% per annum (11.3% per annum vs. 9.1%).

keppler

Why Long term?

Most of us are terrible short term investors due to human nature’s greater desire to avoid pain than gain pleasure.  We naturally “lose it” and react emotionally when faced with loss instead of tempted with gain.

Loss aversion, is part of behavioral economics that we should never ignore.  This may be the most important aspect of investing because we, as humans, are susceptible to psychological pain created by the perception of loss.

Our bodies are designed so that the pain of loss is far greater than the pleasure experienced from gain.

We should not count on besting this human evolution.  Even when we have the best intentions and education we cannot always overcome this bias.  Animal instincts win out.

This nature to avoid loss creates stress that brings disaster when it comes to making investing decisions.

Here’s how to reduce stress…  add safety… increase long term profits.

Invest only in low cost good value equities indices.  Ignore day to day movements and think four years ahead.

Don’t plan on liquidating any equity unless it has a change in value.  If the price rises or falls on a month to month basis… don’t care!  Don’t even register the fact.

Build a strategy around quarterly value projections using a diversified, equally weighted portfolio of  good value stock markets.

The chart below shows how Keppler Asset Management uses this four year strategy in its projections.  The chart shows Keppler’s entire real-time forecasting history for the KAM Equally Weighted World Index, starting at the end of 1993.

Keppler’s numbers are based on relationships between price and value over the previous fifteen years moving forward in monthly increments and thus adjusting steadily to an ever-changing global market.

keppler

Keppler’s long term projections have been spot on for almost a quarter century.

Keppler’s four year strategy statistically provides a well diversified portfolio that statistically lowers risk, increases profit and very importantly, reduces stress!

Fake news doesn’t work long term.

The good value strategy is useful in today’s trutheless society because truth and value eventually prevail in stock markets.

Fake news creates short term reactions, in life, in politics and in stock markets.  Investors who ride through the ups and downs of the markets gain the greatest financial stability and profit.

Why Now?

An explosive purchase volume recently set value investing on fire.

Investors made a dramatic shift from growth to global value equities starting on September 9, 2019.

Value stocks worldwide have lagged growth stocks since the onset of the bull market ten years ago.

This means that currently, international value stocks remain among the cheapest in the world.  As a group, they are  trading at 10.5 times earnings, 0.89 times price-to-book (11% below net asset value) and yielding 3.6% average dividend based on the iShares Edge MSCI International Value Factor ETF (symbol IVLU) chart below.

The investment objective of the iShares Edge MSCI Intl Value Factor ETF is to track the investment results of an index composed of international developed large-and mid-capitalization stocks with value characteristics and relatively lower valuations.

The chart below from WWW.finance.yahoo.com shows the spurt of investments (green bar at bottom of chart) on September 5, to 9, 2019 that drove the value share prices up.

That spurt of orders September 5, 2019 was the largest since the fund’s inception.

ishares value

The chart above shows that value investments have been dogged for a decade.  Now they are hot and there is plenty of room for more upwards correction.

Here is an offer that allows you to pick the best value equities, along with a balance of precious metals and brings you the probability of the highest long term returns, with minimal downside risk.

Fake News is the sharp edge of modern communications that have ripped the entire fabric of the global economy.

We are flooded with too much information.  Much of it is fake.  This problem is at its worst when it comes to investing in shares.  On any one day we can read, watch or hear hundreds of pundits, thousands perhaps, tell us how markets and the economy are ready to collapse.  Other hundreds, or thousands, tell us how markets and the economy are ready to skyrocket higher.

We have to choose… who is correct!  The wrong choice can destroy us financially.

The emotions created by fake news puts our investments, even our lives, through anxiety and stress, at risk.

The answer is “Be Easy”.  Really.  There is nothing we have to do that will be done better because we are up tight.

Life becomes complex because we don’t know which words to believe.

The solution to this complexity is simplicity.  That’s why I make this special offer of a simple and easy solution to escape the global economic complexities created by fake news.

The simple solution is math!

I follow slow moving mathematical information rather than economic news.  My main source of math based value information comes from Keppler Asset Management.

Keppler has a “Top Value Strategy” based on math that, since it started over 25 years ago, has outperformed stock market averages by almost 50%

keppler

keppler

The green line shows the performance of diversified Top Value value investing from the Keppler Asset Management July 2019 Developed Market Value Analysis.

The difference from 1969 is that $100 grew to $38,237 instead of $6,331!

Though this past performance is no guarantee of future returns, the chart above shows the power of diversifying globally in value equity markets.

Yes, the annual returns in the chart above shows how value investing takes time.  In the past ten years, value shares have been dominated by growth sectors.

Keppler’s analysis begins with a continual researches of corporate information on thousands of shares in 46 major stock markets. Keppler compares their value based on current book to price, cash flow to price, earnings to price, average dividend yield, return on equity and cash flow return.

Michael Kepler CEO Keppler Asset Management.

Keppler explains why a Top Value Country Selection Strategy for equities is important and says in his analysis: Among the generally accepted reasons for taking a global perspective in investments is the historical fact that no nation can maintain economic and political pre-eminence ad infinitum.

Studies have shown that, regardless of the investor’s national market and currency, diversified global equity portfolios, over longer periods, offer higher returns at lower risk than investments in national markets.

Keppler Asset Management Inc. (KAM) was  founded by Michael Keppler in 1992.  KAM is an SEC–registered investment advisory firm dedicated to finding and exploiting investment opportunities in the global equity markets. Based in New York, they advise institutional investors worldwide and help manage published mutual funds with total assets exceeding two billion US dollars. Plus they advise many private pension funds by specializing in active quantitative portfolio strategies that aim to deliver superior long-term performance and seek to limit risk through a firm commitment to value.

Starting in 2009, KAM was named Best Fund Company in the Fund category, five years in a row, by Capital, a leading German business magazine.

That’s my simplicity secret for keeping track of where to invest.  Using Keppler’s data has served me well for 25 years, allowing me time to get on with life rather than being drowned in a sea of conflicting opinions about what investment to make next.

More good news is that Keppler does not manage individual accounts and though SEC registered and headquartered in New York, does not mange funds for US customers.

That’s why I created our Purposeful Investing Course, one of the few, if not the only sources of Keppler analysis for individual investors.

Here is how to tap into this valuable information on a no risk basis right now.

The Purposeful Investing Course combines Keppler analysis with research on low cost, good value country ETFs.

This is why my core stock portfolio consists of 19 country ETFs, along with precious metals.   This is also why this position has hardly changed in four years. During this time we have been steadily accumulating the same 19 shares and have traded only three times.

This portfolio above is based on stock price to value analysis built around 91 years of stock market data.

The value analysis is used to create a portfolio of MSCI Country Benchmark Index ETFs that cover  stock markets that are undervalued.  I have combined my 50 years of investing experience with the study of the mathematical market value analysis of  Keppler Asset Management.

This is an easy, simple and effective approach to zeroing in on value because little time, management and guesswork is required.  You are investing in a diversified portfolio of good value indices.

A BUY rating for an index does NOT imply that any one stock in that country is an attractive investment.  This eliminates the need for hours of research aimed at picking specific shares.  It is not appropriate or enough to instruct a stockbroker to simply select stocks in the BUY rated countries.  Investing in the index is like investing in all the shares in the index.  You save time because all you have to do is invest in the ETF to gain the profit potential of the entire market.

Country Index ETFs are similar to an index mutual fund but are shares normally traded on a major stock exchange that tracks an index of shares in a specific country.  ETFs do not try to beat the index they represent.  The management is passive and tries to emulate the performance of the index.

A country ETF provides diversification into a basket of equities in the country covered.  The expense ratios for most ETFs are lower than those of the average mutual fund as well so such ETFs provide diversification and cost efficiency.

Here is the Pifolio I personally hold now.

70% of the equities is diversified into iShares ETFs that represent Keppler’s good value (BUY rated) developed markets: Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Norway, Singapore, Spain and the United Kingdom.

30% of the equities are invested in Keppler’s good value (BUY rated) emerging markets: Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, the Czech Republic, South Korea, Malaysia and Taiwan.

iShares Country ETFs make it easy to invest in each of the MSCI indicies of the good value BUY markets.

For example, the iShares MSCI Australia (symbol EWA) is a Country Index ETF that tracks the investment results the Morgan Stanley Capital Index MSCI Australia Index which is composed mainly of large cap and small cap stocks traded primarily on the Australian Stock Exchange mainly of companies in consumer staples, financials and materials. This ETF is non-diversified outside of Australia.

iShares is owned by Black Rock, Inc. the world’s largest asset manager with over $4 trillion in assets under management.

The equity ETFs in my portfolio are balanced with investments in silver, platinum and gold.

You also receive two special reports.

In the 1980s, a remarkable set of two economic circumstances helped anyone who spotted them become remarkably rich.  Some of my readers made enough to retire.  Others picked up 50% currency gains.  Then the cycle ended.  Warren Buffett explained the importance of this ending in a 1999 Fortune magazine interview.  He said:  Let me summarize what I’ve been saying about the stock market: I think it’s very hard to come up with a persuasive case that equities will over the next 17 years perform anything like—anything like—they’ve performed in the past 17!

I did well then, but always thought, “I should have invested more!”  Now those circumstances have come together and I am investing in them again.

The circumstances that created fortunes 30 years ago were an overvalued US market (compared to global markets) and an overvalued US dollar.  The two conditions are in place again!

30 years ago, the US dollar rose along with Wall Street.  Profits came quickly over three years.  Then the dollar dropped like a stone, by 51%  in just two years.  A repeat of this pattern is growing and could create up to 50% extra profit if we start using strong dollars to accumulate good value stock market ETFs in other currencies.

This is the most exciting opportunity I have seen since we started sending our reports on international investing ideas more than three decades ago.  The trends are so clear that I have created a short, but powerful report “Three Currency Patterns for 50% Profits or More.”   This report shows how to earn an extra 50% from currency shifts with even small investments.  I kept the report short and simple, but included links to 153 pages of  Good Value Stock Market research and Asset Allocation Analysis.

The report shows 20 good value investments and a really powerful tactic that shows the most effective and least expensive way to accumulate these bargains in large or even very small amounts (less than $5,000).  There is extra profit potential of at least 50% so the report is worth a lot.

This report sells for $29.95 but in this special offer, you receive the report, “Three Currency Patterns for 50% Profits or More” FREE when you subscribe to course.

Plus get the $39.95 report “The Silver Dip 2019” free.

With investors watching global stock markets bounce up and down, many missed two really important profit generating events over the last two years.  The price of silver dipped below $14 an ounce as did shares of the iShares Silver ETF (SLV).   The second event is that the silver gold ratio hit 80, compared to a ratio of 230 only two years before.

In September 2015, I prepared a special report “Silver Dip 2015” about a silver speculation, leveraged with a British pound loan, that could increase the returns in a safe portfolio by as much as eight times.  The tactics described in that report generated 62.48% profit in just nine months.

I have updated this report and added how to use the Silver Dip Strategy with platinum.   The “Silver Dip 2019” report shares the latest in a series of long term lessons gained through 40 years of speculating and investing in precious metals.  I released the 2015 report, when the gold silver ratio slipped to 80.  The ratio has corrected and that profit has been taken and now a new precious metals dip has emerged.

I have prepared a new special report “Silver Dip 2019” about a leveraged speculation that can increase the returns in a safe portfolio by as much as eight times.

seminars

Tens of thousands have paid up to $999 to attend.

This year I celebrated my 51st anniversary of writing about global investing.  Our reports and seminars have helped readers have better lives, with less stress yet make fortunes during up and down markets for decades.  This information is invaluable to investors large and small because even small amounts can easily be invested in the good value shares we cover in our seminar.

Details in the online seminar include:

* How to easily buy global currencies, shares and bonds.

* Trading down and the benefits of investing in real estate in Small Town USA.  We will share why this breakout value is special and why we have been recommending good value real estate in this area since 2009.

* What’s up with gold and silver?  One session looks at my current position on gold and silver and asset protection.  We review the state of the precious metal markets and potential problems ahead for US dollars.  Learn how low interest rates eliminate  opportunity costs of diversification in precious metals and foreign currencies.

* How to improve safety and increase profit with leverage and staying power.  The seminar reveals Warren Buffett’s value investing strategy from research published at Yale University’s website.  This research shows that the stocks Buffet chooses are safe (with low beta and low volatility), cheap (value stocks with low price-to-book ratios), and high quality (stocks of companies that are profitable, stable, growing, and with high payout ratios). His big, extra profits come from leverage and staying power.  At times Buffet’s portfolio, as all value portfolios, has fallen, but he has been willing and able to wait long periods for the value to reveal itself and prices to recover.

* Learn how much leverage to use.  Leverage is like medicine, the key is dose.  The best ratio is normally 1.6 to 1.  We’ll sum up the strategy; how to leverage cheap, safe, quality stocks and for what period of time based on the times and each individual’s circumstances.

* Learn to never run out of money.  The seminar also has a session on the importance of having and sticking to a plan.  See how success is dependent on conviction, wherewithal, and skill to operate with leverage and significant risk.  Learn a three point strategy based on my 50 years of investing experience combined with wisdom gained from some of the world’s best investment managers and economic mathematical scientists.

* The results of a $80,000 share purchase cost test that found the least expensive way to invest in good value.  The keys to this portfolio are good value, low cost, minimal fuss and bother.  Plus a great savings of time.  Trading is minimal, usually not more than one or two shares are bought or sold in a year.  I wanted to find the very least expensive way to create and hold this portfolio so I performed this test.

For over three decades the seminar fee has been $799 for one or $999 for a couple.  Tens of thousands paid this price, but online the seminar is $297.

In this special offer, you can get this online seminar FREE when you subscribe to our Personal Investing Course.

Many investors will be ruined when the bloated US stock market balloon bursts.  Panic is an investor’s worst enemy.  News is skewed to the bad and dramatic.  News is selected to sell, not inform.  Fake news exacerbates this reality.

This is why using financial information rather than economic news can save you from the upcoming “Fake News” disaster.

Why Leverage Silver ETFs

Turn $250 into $51,888… in Four Years or Less?

I first spotted an opportunity in 1986.   Two short term distortions (in the price of silver and the strength of the British pound) created potential for huge profits.  I wrote in a report (called the “Silver Dip”) that told how to borrow British pounds to speculate in silver and earn over $50,000 profit.  That’s the headline I used then in 1986, “Turn $250 into $51,888… in Four Years or Less”.

The report showed how to take borrow overpriced British pounds and invest the loan in under priced silver.   $250 was required to set up the loan.  No other cash was needed to borrow the pounds.

Readers who followed the report made $46,299 on the no cash investment in only one year

Then in 2015 I spotted the same distortion again.  The British pound was overvalued.  Silver was undervalued.

I quickly issued a report… the “Silver Dip 2015” that looked at how similar conditions to 1986 had fallen into place.  The price of silver had reached a six year low.  The British pound strength was rising.  The dollar per pound rate was $1.55 per pound, exactly the same as in 1986 and the silver/gold ratio rose over 80 just as in 1986.

That report revealed the iShares Silver Trust, a silver ETF  and during the year after issuing this report, the share price rose from $13.57 per share to $19.60 in 2015.

The rise in the silver price created a nice profit.   The currency and leverage tactics within the strategy turned the nice profit into a very nice profit.

A $10,000 (6,451 British pounds) loan purchased 736 shares at $13.57.  In 2015 the shares rose to $19.60 and were worth $14,425 (up 44.25%).

Those profits were spectacular by any stretch of the imagination but turned out even better because the profits above excluded the forex profit.

In 2015-2016 , the British pound dropped almost exactly as it did 30 years ago!  The British pound fell from $1.55 per pound to $1.33 per pound.

At $1.33 per pound, the 6,451 pound loan only required $8,575 to pay back the loan.  This created an extra $1,425 forex profit.

When the opportunity appeared again last year, I updated the report to  “Silver Dip 2018”.

The 2018 report showed how the opportunity for this speculation was even better than it was in 2015.

Yet the profits have not yet arrived.  This allows me to make an amazing no-risk guaranteed offer to you.

Silver Dip 2019 includes profit calculations for 2019 and I offer you the report “Silver Dip 2019” with a year long guarantee.

“If the profits recommended in the report don’t arrive by the end of the year, I’ll give you a complete and full refund”.

That’s right if the tactic described in Silver Dip 2019 do not hit their target, you don’t have to pay a thing for the report.

Investing in silver ETFs leveraged with margin loans may create extraordinary profits in 2019.

The “Silver Dip 2019”  shows how to easily make an ideal speculation for almost any amount.   The report shows when and how to get margin loans in dollars, British pound, Japanese yen or euro.

In fact you learn how to borrow in 23 different currencies, even Russian rubles, so you can choose the weakest currency with the lowest interest rates.

Low Interest Loans

Interest on the loan won’t eat up profits.  The “Silver Dip 2019” shows how to borrow many currencies right now for less than 2%.

The Silver Dip is only exercised when conditions are absolutely ideal.  Value investors never push this rule.  Investment and speculative markets are full of rumor, conjecture (a lot of it false) and hidden agendas.  The Silver Dip relies instead on a really simple theory… that the price of gold should rise about the same rate as other basic goods and the rise and fall of silver’s price should maintain a parity with gold.  When that parity is out of balance (as it has been since August 2018) silver’s price is ready to explode.

The “Silver Dip 2019” explains how to speculate in silver ETFs plus outlines the following:

  • How to use the Silver Dip strategy without adding a penny of cash if you already have investments.
  • How to invest as little as a thousand dollars in silver if you do not have a current investment portfolio.
  • Why this is a speculation, not an investment:  who should and should not speculate and how to limit losses and take profits.
  • Three reasons why conditions are excellent for better for a Silver Dip now.

The benefit of 50 years experience in watching markets, metals, bonds, interest rates and currencies, I have learned many special pricing situations to watch for.

These special opportunities do not appear every day.  That’s why they are special.

Unless you have seen them come and go, it’s hard to see them coming again.

That is why I was willing to wait for years for silver to be in a special pricing position.

Our courses and reports are about finding good value and they have been helping astute readers find value investments, again and again for 50 years.

The “Silver Dip 2019” report shows a current huge opportunity.  I continuously watch for aberrations in currency and precious metal markets.   Sometimes a rare quirk, such as the currency distortions, low cost loans and low silver price  offer potential for profit, with very little risk of long term loss.

Investors who speculate on these aberrations at the correct time can make fortunes.

The time is now.

Success is almost guaranteed.  In fact an 89 year study showed a 99% change of success when sequence distortions are worked in a certain way.

We are stalking precious metal opportunity now.

The trap is set. We are waiting…

This opportunity is explained in the report “Silver Dip 2019”.

You can order the Silver Dip 2019 here for $39.95

Here is why there is no risk for you.  The report is 100% guaranteed.

I do not sell book, reports and courses.  I offer benefits.  If  the Silver Dip 2019 does not bring you the benefits you expect, just let me know any time in 2019 and I’ll send you a quick, no questions asked, full refund.

I can’t promise that silver’s price will rise in 2019 but  I can guarantee you’ll be fully satisfied with the report or… you can have your money back in full.

Chicken Little Won’t Buy Stock

Hope springs eternal and value is a signpost that leads along the hopeful path.  One of the key themes in my first book, Passport to International Profit, (published in the 1970s) was “The sun always shines somewhere”.  This thought has been in and remains a foundation of everything I do.

Decades of studies of global stock market cycles suggest we’ll see a serious short term equity correction.  The current market rise has lasted much longer than history suggests.  This means a sharper, faster contraction will take place when it comes.

This means enormous opportunity is ahead.  The most important lesson I have learned in fifty years of writing and speaking about investing and actually investing globally is to invest long term and add as much as is possible during stock market weakness.

keppler

This chart above shows the entire real-time forecasting history of Keppler Asset Management Inc. for the KAM Equally Weighted World Index.  Keppler’s projections are based on relationships between price and value over the previous fifteen years.  These are moving forward in monthly increments so they thus evolve steadily to an ever-changing norm.  Starting in October 2008, the actual performance of the index fell below the lower forecast band, where it stayed through April 2014 (5 years and 7 months). Since then, the Index  has fallen below the lower forecast band again this year in February as well as in May and June. In the past, index levels below the lower forecast band turned out to be attractive entry points for long-term investors.

Look at how well long term investors who added extra investments during the 2000 and 2007 and 2016 weakness have profited.

The chart above is from July 2019 and shows that the weakness last year could lead to substantial growth in the Keppler World Stock Index.

Create a strategy of investing globally in value.  Knowing the basics of value behind your investments is important because belief in the idea is vital.  Yet risk is always our partner.  Even when we invest in what we know, there will be events we cannot see or expect.  Integrating what we love and know with value, reduces risk.

Embrace risk.  Adapt.  Look for contrasts and trends.  Seek value.  Bet the most on the positive when events are the most negative.

Expect that the World Will Remain Standing!

The press always focuses on doom and gloom.  Current news always makes the world seem about to end.

Yet despite all the negative headlines, we have lived through the Cold War and MAD, Y2K, GridX II, the Peak Oil Crisis Russia election rigging, Trade Wars, etc. etc. etc.  Chicken Little is always out there, selling the sky is falling.  Don’t buy into this story!

History suggests that there will always be opportunity.  The sun always shines somewhere.

The list below from the “Keppler Asset Management Summer 2019 Developed Market Analysis” shows the best value developed markets for an equally weighted  global good value portfolio.

keppler

The Pi value strategy is to hold equally weighted amounts of  country ETFs in good value developed and emerging markets (70% developed and 30% emerging).

We ignore the doom and gloom predictions.  Brexit for example under the UK’s new prime minister Boris Johnson is likely to proceed.  We expect the hear a lot of bad news about what might happen to the British economy.

We have made no change in our UK holdings.

In fact the fall of the British pound created an extraordinary opportunity for those who wanted to speculate.  Our Pi course reviewed two opportunities, add an extra weighting of the British market ETF, or even riskier but with greater potential, add an extra weighting of the British market ETF using a US dollar margin loan.

We live in a very positive world.  So many incredibly wonderful events take place every day that they are not worth mentioning in the news.  This leaves a void filled by the worst negative drama enhanced by opinion and conjecture.  Bad news sells papers (and visits to websites) while financial news can be boring.

Take advantage of the fact that as the thundering herd panics and rushes from one potential cliff to another, it is usually wrong.  There is no cliff.  The signs created by panic are simply deviations that eventually lead back to the true path to profit best signposted  by good value.

Investing Beyond the Boom

Warren Buffet once warned against the Cinderella effect.

He said “Don’t be fooled by that Cinderella feeling you get from great returns.  Nothing sedates rationality like large doses of effortless money.  After a heady experience of that kind, normally sensible people drift into behavior akin to that of Cinderella at the ball.  They know the party must end but nevertheless hate to miss a single minute of what is one helluva party.  Therefore, the giddy participants all plan to leave just seconds before midnight. There’s a problem, though: They are dancing in a room in which the clocks have no hands.”

Cinderella may have lost a shoe when she fled the party to meet a midnight curfew.  We can lose much more when we rush from a crashing stock market.

Most investors face emotional dangers that build in rising markets.

Almost everyone feels good.

But the clock of economic reckoning is ticking.

No wants to see it.  Nothing rises forever and especially… not everything at the same time.

Yet no one wants to leave the party until the end.

But many edge closer to the door.

When the clock chimes there could be a stampede even though leaving in a hurry may be the worst way to go.

Here are seven steps that can help avoid this risk.

  • Choose investments based on markets instead of shares.
  • Diversify based on value.
  • Rely on financial information rather than economic news.
  • Keep investing simple.
  • Keep investing costs low.
  • Trade as little as possible.
  • Make the decision process during panics automatic.

One strategy is to invest in country ETFs that easily provide diversified, risk-controlled investments in countries with stock markets of good value.  These ETFs provide an easy, simple and effective approach to zeroing in on value.  Little management and less guesswork is required.  The expense ratios for most ETFs are lower than those of the average mutual funds.  Plus a single country ETF provides diversification equal to investing in dozens, even hundreds of shares.

A minimum of knowledge, time, management or guesswork are required.

The importance of…

easy…

transparent…

and inexpensive.

Keeping investing simple is one of the most valuable, but least looked at, ways to avoid disaster.  Simple and easy investing saves time.  How much is your time worth?  Simple investing costs less and avoids fast decisions during stressful times in complex situations where we are most likely to get it wrong.

Fear, regret and greed are an investor’s chief problem.  Human nature causes  investors to sell winners too soon, and hold losers too long.

Easy to use, low cost, mathematically based habits and routines help protect against negative emotions and impulse investing.

Take control of your investing.  Make decisions based on data and discipline, not gut feelings.  The Purposeful investing Course (Pi) teaches math based, low cost ways to diversify in good value markets and in ETFs  that cover these markets.  This course is based on my 50 years of investing experience combined with wisdom gained from some of the world’s best investment managers and economic mathematical scientists.

Enjoy Repeated Wealth With Pi

Pi’s mission is to make it easy for anyone to have a strategy and tactics that continually maintain safety and turn market turmoil into extra profit.

One secret is to invest with a purpose beyond the immediate returns.  This helps create faith in a strategy that adds stickiness to the plan.

Another tactic is to invest with enough staying power so you’re never caught short.

Never have to sell depressed assets during periods of loss.

Lessons from Pi are based on the creation and management of Model Portfolios, called Pifolios.

The success of Pifolios is based on ignoring economic news (often created by someone with vested interests) and using financial math that reveals deeper economic truths.

One Pifolio covers all the good value developed markets.  Another covers the emerging good value markets.

The Pifolio analysis begins with a continual research of 46 major stock markets that compares their value based on:

#1:  Current book to price

#2:  Cash flow to price

#3:  Earnings to price

#4:  Average dividend yield

#5:  Return on equity

#6:  Cash flow return.

#7:  Market history

This is a complete and continual study of almost all the developed major and emerging stock markets.

This mathematical analysis forms the basis of a Good Value Stock Market Strategy.   The analysis is rational, mathematical and does not worry about short term ups and downs.

This strategy is easy for anyone to follow and use.  Pi reveals the best value markets and provides contacts to managers and analysts and Country Index ETFs so almost anyone can create and follow their own strategy.

Learn how to invest like a pro from the inside out.

At the beginning of 2019 my personal Pifolio is based on select ETFs in the Keppler Developed and Emerging markets.  My Pifolio is invested in Country ETFs that cover seven developed and three emerging markets:

Norway
Australia
Hong Kong
Germany
Japan
Singapore
United Kingdom
Taiwan
South Korea
China

Don’t give up profit to gain ease and safety!

Regardless of economic news, these markets represent good value and have been chosen based on four pillars of valuation.

  • Absolute Valuation
  • Relative Valuation
  • Current versus Historic Valuation
  • Current Relative versus Relative Historic Valuation

When you subscribe to Pi, you immediately receive a 120 page basic training course that teaches the Pi Strategy.   You learn all the Pi strategies, what they are, how to use them and what each can do for you, your lifestyle and investing.

You also begin receiving regular emailed Pifiolio updates and online access to all the Pifolio updates of the last two years.  Each update examines the current activity in a Pifolio, how it is changing, why and how the changes might help your investing or not.

Included in the basic training is an additional 120 page PDF value analysis of 46 stock markets (23 developed markets and 23 emerging stock markets).  This analysis looks at the price to book, price to earnings, average yield and much more.

This report sells for $29.95 but in this special offer, you receive the report, “Three Currency Patterns for 50% Profits or More” FREE when you subscribe to Pi.

Stock and currency markets are cyclical.  These cycles create extra profit for value investors who invest when everyone else has the markets wrong.  One special seminar session looks at how to spot value from cycles.  Stocks rise from the cycle of war, productivity and demographics.  Cycles create recurring profits.  Economies and stock markets cycle up and down around every 15 to 20 years as shown in this graph.

stock-Charts

The effect of war cycles on the US Stock Market since 1906.

Bull and bear cycles are based on cycles of human interaction, war, technology and productivity.  Economic downturns can create war.

The chart above shows the war – stock market cycle.  Military struggles (like the Civil War, WWI, WWII and the Cold War: WW III) super charge inventiveness that creates new forms of productivity…the steam engine, the internal combustion engine,  production line processes, jet engines, TV, farming techniques, plastics, telephone, computer and lastly during the Cold War, the internet.  The military technology shifts to domestic use.  A boom is created that leads to excess.  Excess leads to correction. Correction creates an economic downturn and again to war.

Use time not timing.

Time is your friend when you use a good value strategy.  The longer you can hold onto a well balanced good value portfolio, the better the odds of outstanding success.

A 45 year portfolio study shows that holding a diversified good value portfolio (based on a  good value strategy) for 13 month’s time, increases the probability of out performance to 70%.  However those who can hold the portfolio for five years gain a 88% probability of beating the bellwether in the market and after ten years the probability increases to 97.5%.

Learn how much leverage to use.  Leverage is like medicine, the key is dose.  The best ratio is normally 1.6 to 1.  We’ll sum up the strategy; how to leverage cheap, safe, quality stocks and for what period of time based on the times and each individual’s circumstances.

Learn to plan in a way so you never run out of money.

The online seminar also reveals  the results of a $80,000 share purchase cost test that found the least expensive way to invest in good value.  The keys to this portfolio are good value, low cost, minimal fuss and bother.  Plus a great savings of time.  Trading is minimal, usually not more than one or two shares are bought or sold in a year.  I wanted to find the very least expensive way to create and hold this portfolio so I performed this test.

I have good news about the cost of the seminar as well.   For almost three decades the seminar fee has been $799 for one or $999 for a couple. Tens of thousands paid this price, but online the seminar is $297.

Trade War Opportunity

Last week we showed subscribers to our Purposeful Investing Course  (PI) a way to gain from the US China trade war.

The Advisory Extra report produced by ENR Asset Management (1) shows a special growing opportunity in Southeast Asia.  That advisory is only available to these large ENR clients and PI subscribers.

I have worked with ENR for decades and especially now, as they are one of the very few SEC registered investment management companies that can help US investors bank and hold assets with non US banks.

One feature in the July Advisory looks at the opportunity we can gain from the US China Trade War.

The reports says:  Historically, tariffs don’t benefit anyone; the last time nations employed broad-based tariffs in the 1930s, the resultant economic results were devastating as hardship prevailed across the United States and Europe leading up to WW II. The Hawley-Smoot Tariff Act was signed into law in June 1930 and raised U.S. tariffs on over 20,000 imported goods. By 1933, nearly half of America’s banks had failed and unemployment was approaching 15 million people or 30% of the workforce. The rest of the world also suffered as global GDP plummeted.

Manufacturing Shifting to ASEAN

A recent report from New York Federal Reserve economists, together with U.S. import data, suggests regional neighbors in Asia will benefit from the growing shift away from manufacturing in China. Both sides will pay for a trade war. China’s won’t export as much while U.S. consumers will face higher prices. The real winners are China’s competitors in Asia: South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam and other countries in the region.

Ten nations form the Association of Southeast Nations or ASEAN. They include Brunei,Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

ASEAN is a $700 billion-dollar economic bloc in a market supported by more than 500 million people. It’s an export powerhouse. Add Taiwan and South Korea and it’s even more formidable.

Bullish on South Korea & ASEAN

But South Korea is especially compelling because it’s the cheapest bourse in the region and long neglected by global investors as the KOSPI Index in Seoul trades near a ten-year low. The United States isn’t bashing South Korea on trade. In fact, it’s benefiting from the U.S.-China trade conflict as manufacturing giants like Samsung Group, Hyundai Motor and SK Holdings steal market share. Combined with an undervalued South Korean won, stocks in South Korea represent among the best values in the world and are primed to benefit from a secular manufacturing shift from China to other competitors in the region. And South Korea, after China and Japan, is the third-largest economy in Asia. It punches some serious export weight.

The iShares MSCI South Korea Capped ETF (NYSE-EWY) trades 23% off its best level last year and placed a double-bottom recently. EWY has gained just 2% in 2019, lagging regional peers. The Index fund holds 114 South Korean large and mid-sized companies (dominated by Samsung Electronics at 24%) and trades at a mild 0.27% discount to its net asset value.

The advisory recommends “BUY the iShares MSCI South Korea Capped ETF (NYSE-EWY) at market up to $65. Place a 25% stop-loss on your entry price.

This ETF (dark blue in charts from www.finance.yahoo.com below) has strongly outperformed the S&P 500 index (light blue) and Nasdaq (purple) exchanges long term.

yahoo.com

Over the past five years the iShares MSCI South Korea Capped ETF (NYSE-EWY) has under performed both the S&P500 and NASDAQ  (purple) indices.

yahoo.com

South Korea is one of five Asian countries in my portfolio that Keppler ranks Top Vlaue.

My portfolio and The Pifolio we track in the Purposeful Investment Course currently holds country ETFs for these five Asian countries that might gain from the US-China trade war:

7.6% of portfolio in iShares MSCI Singapore Capped ETF up17.2% since the Pifolio’s inception December 2105.

1.5% iShares MSCI Malaysia New ETF down 30.0% since the Pifolio’s inception December 2105.

2.3% iShares MSCI South Korea Index ETF up 8.8% since the Pifolio’s inception December 2105.

The Pifolio also holds two ETFs representing indices in the Keppler Good Value Developed  Markets

7.2% iShares Msci Japan New ETF up 11.0% since the Pifolio’s inception December 2105.

2.7% iShares MSCI Taiwan Capped ETF up 28.1% since the Pifolio’s inception December 2105.

The downside from an economic point of view is that the Pifolio also has 8% of its makeup in the iShares FTSE/Xinhua China 25 Index Fund up 6.9% since the Pifolio’s inception December 2105.

The Pi strategy is to hold equal amounts of country ETFs in good value markets at a 70% (developed market), 30% (emerging market) ratio.   The only variation my Pifolio has is that it treats China as a developed market, rather than an emerging market.

We as consumers will not benefit from a US China trade war.  We’ll pay more for the products we buy that are manufactured in China.  We can offset this problem by investing in the Southeast Asian opportunity as manufactures shift from China to other Asian countries.

The Only 3 Reasons to Invest

garyheadshot

The stock market has always been the best place of places to protect and increase wealth over the long haul.   Yet it’s also been the worst place to lose money, a lot of it, quickly.

There are only three reasons why we should invest.  We invest for income.  We invest to resell our investments for more than we had invested.  We invest to make our world a better place.

The goal of investing should be to stabilize our security, bring feelings of comfort and elimination of stress!

We should not invest for fun, excitement or to get rich quickly. We should not divest in a panic due to market corrections.

This is why my core stock portfolio consists of 19 shares and this position has hardly changed in three years.  During this time we have been steadily accumulating the same 19 shares and have traded only three times.

motif

This portfolio is built around a strategy that’s taught in my Purposeful Investing Course (Pi).  I call these shares my Pifolio.

This portfolio more or less matched the S&P 500 until May 2018.  Then a stronger US dollar made the portfolio look like it was falling behind.   This currency illusion creates a special opportunity we’ll view in a moment.

This portfolio above is based on stock price to value analysis built around 91 years of stock market data.

The value analysis is used to create a portfolio of MSCI Country Benchmark Index ETFs that cover  stock markets that are undervalued.  I have combined my 50 years of investing experience with the study of the mathematical market value analysis of Michael Keppler, CEO of Keppler Asset Management.

In my opinion, Keppler is one of the best market statisticians in the world.  Numerous very large fund managers use his analysis to manage over $2.5 billion of funds.  However because Keppler’s roots are in Germany (though he lives and operates from New York) and most of his funds registered for the European Union, Americans cannot normally access his data.

I was lucky to have crossed paths with Michael about 25 years ago, so I am one of the few Americans who receive this data and you will not find his information readily available in the US.

In a moment you’ll see how to remedy this fact.

The Pifolio analysis begins with Keppler’s research that continually monitors 46 stock markets and compares their value based on current book to price, cash flow to price, earnings to price, average dividend yield, return on equity and cash flow return.  Then Keppler takes market’s history into account.

Fwd: keppler

Michael Kepler CEO Keppler Asset Management.

Michael’s analysis is rational, mathematical and does not cause worry about short term ups and downs.  Keppler’s strategy is to diversify into an equally weighted portfolio of the MSCI Indices of each good value (BUY) market.

To achieve this goal of diversification the Pifolio consists of Country Index ETFs.

Here is the Pifolio I personally held at the beginning of 2019.

70% is diversified into Keppler’s good value (BUY rated) developed markets: Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Norway, Singapore, Spain and the United Kingdom.

30% of the Pifolio is invested in Keppler’s good value (BUY rated) emerging markets: Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, the Czech Republic, South Korea, Malaysia and Taiwan.

iShares Country ETFs make it easy to invest in each of the MSCI indicies of the good value BUY markets.

This report sells for $29.95 but in this special offer, you receive the report, “Three Currency Patterns for 50% Profits or More” FREE when you subscribe to Pi.

You also learn from the Value Investing Seminar, our premier course, that we have been conducting for over 30 years.  Tens of thousands of delegates have paid up to $999 to attend.  Now you can join the seminar online FREE in this special offer.

This three day course is available in sessions that are 10 to 20 minutes long for easy, convenient learning.   You can listen to each session any time and as often as you desire.

The sooner you hear what I have to say about current markets, the better you’ll be able to cash in on perhaps the best investing opportunity since 1982.

In this special offer, you can get this online seminar FREE when you subscribe to our Personal investing Course.

Good Value ETF

Here’s a good value ETF with a high European content.

The conclusion of the EU elections is one of hope and progress. These results and a growing fundamental value adds to the profit potential of European shares.

europe

The New York Times article European Election Results” shows that voters made enough fuss to demand change, but not so much that it will disturb stability.  The results of the vote were one that can instill increased confidence in Europe.

The article says (bolds are mine):  Populists and nationalists who want to chip away at the European Union’s powers increased their share in Europe’s Parliament after four days of continent-wide elections, but it was not the deluge that many traditionalists had feared

When the vote counting is done, the populists are expected to get around 25 percent of the 751 seats, up from 20 percent five years ago, figures released by the European Union showed on Sunday.

The electorate is crying out for change and is therefore volatile – preferring to back new insurgents rather than the status quo parties that have been around for decades,” said Mark Leonard, director of the European Council on Foreign Relations. “The fear of a far-right takeover of the European Parliament has mobilized Europe’s pro-European forces, resulting in a huge surge in turnout and in support for Green and Liberal parties throughout Europe.”

The same was true for the European Union as a whole, the first increase in turnout in 40 years and the best since 1994.

But the decline in vote share for what he called “status quo parties” is “a warning that business as usual is not an option,” he said. “The composition of the new Parliament will be weighed in favor of pro-Europeans, but it does not mean that they have a mandate for `more of the same.”‘

The favorable aspects of this political outcome are increased voter participation… an increased demand for change… but enough votes to warrant stability.

Market fundamentals and shifts in trends support the European stock markets as well.  We recently sent our Purposeful Investing Course subscribers the May 2019 edition of ENR Asset Management’s Market Outlook (2).

One point in this month’s outlook is the value buildup in Europe.

The Outlook says: U.K. and euro-zone stocks are the most unloved by global money-managers, according to Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s latest Global Fund Manager Survey in late April. European equity funds have faced net withdrawals in all but two weeks over the past 12 months, according to EPFR. The valuation ratios of European and U.S. stocks have diverged since the end of 2016, remaining substantially wider than its long-term average over the past ten years, according to FactSetdata.

This is one reason why six of Keppler Asset Management’s 10 good value developed markets are European. Here are the ten and their values.

keppler asset management

The Outlook further confirms in a “Ride the Value-Wave Overseas” segment that shows how all the good value markets are non North American markets at this time.

That segment tells how overseas equities are laggards compared to the US markets since 2009.

In addition these markets are denominated in attractive currencies that support earnings in dollar-based markets. A weak EUR, pound, CAD, yen, South Korean won and other currencies the last several years continue to make European and overseas large-caps more compelling value investments compared to those in the United States.

However investors have focused on U.S. growth-based names since 2009 (e.g. Facebook, Amazon, Netflix, Alphabet).

Also, a soaring dollar has seriously dented returns for USD-based portfolios as foreign currencies have declined since 2011.

But cycles change.

The Outlook says: International investing hasn’t been this cheap relative to the United States since the 1980s.

The best way to ride the upcoming overseas value-wave is via ETFs.

Most of the ETFs below sell either below book-value or slightly above book-value. I’ve rarely seen foreign markets this cheap. Recently, economic data in Germany has improved after barely escaping a technical recession late in 2018.

The German economy is a powerhouse, ranked #4 in the world and an export-machine.  Despite ongoing challenges with trade, the refusal to open the fiscal floodgates and investor wariness regarding the euro-zone and Brexit, German stocks are attractively-priced. Investors have been dumping euro-zone stocks for more than a year.

A bombed-out EUR should help German exporters. We also think the CDU and most other parties will agree to fiscal spending in 2020 to avoid a marked slowdown. The iShares MSCI Germany ETF(NYSE-EWG) is the most liquid avenue to invest in German blue-chips.

The iShares Edge MSCI International Value Factor (NYSE-IVLU) remains the biggest bargain among non-U.S. ETFs in the world.

enr asset management

IVLU has gained 9% this year. The ETF trades at a 5% discount to book or 0.95 price-to-book value ratio and 10.4 times trailing earnings. There isn’t a cheaper foreign ETF portfolio anywhere.

IVLU is 14.6% below its all-time high in 2018.

As discussed last month and according to Pictet Asset Management, the dollar is about 25% overvalued versus EM currencies –one of the biggest gaps of the past 20 years.

Investing in value based ETfs is a an easy, low cost, time saving way to increase profits and safety at the same time.  IVLU offers excellent potential but we aim to make value investing even easier and safer with the Pi value analysis system described below.

To achieve this goal of diversification the Pifolio consists of Country Index ETFs.

There is an iShares country ETF for every market.

Canadian Investing Opportunity

Here is a stock market warning and an opportunity for profit.

I track the advice of three investment analysts.  Keppler Asset Management, Tradestops.com and ENR Asset Management in Montreal Canada.  ENR is one of the last SEC registered advisors that can help Americans set up investing accounts overseas.

Each month ENR CEO Eric Roseman sends an Advisroy extra bulletin to ENR’s largest clients.  This bulletin is only available to ENR’s special clients and to our Purposeful Investing Course subscribers.

This month Eric’s Advisory Extra delivers a stock market warning and shows an opportunity in global shares.

The Warning

Eric writes: Markets, however, have gained more than 17% off the December 24 lows based on the MSCI
World Index. Though this is the best start for investors since 1987, some pullback or deep
correction lies ahead as we approach Q1 corporate earnings season; a surging USD will make
revenues challenging this winter coupled with the disappearing effects of earlier tax changes.

Earnings aren’t going to be pretty.

The S&P 500 Index and the MSCI World Index have surged since January 4th following the
Federal Reserve’s pivot to neutral. The Fed has literally abandoned its monetary tightening
campaign since December 2015 in the face of plunging asset markets, buckling credit and
falling consumer confidence since December.

Consumer confidence has since rebounded but many important gauges tracking credit continue to deteriorate, including residential mortgage demand (now contracting); commercial real estate loan demand (contracting); credit card demand (contracting); auto loan demand (contracting) and consumer loan demand (contracting).

There’s no doubting credit demand is faltering.

It’s hard to imagine the Fed bailing on rate hikes when the U.S. unemployment rate sits at its
lowest level in 50 years. It’s unheard of.

But dig deeper underneath the surface and the credit markets have started to buckle, including the ‘bubble’ in leveraged loans, high-yield, student loans, credit card debt and collateralized loans.

Wall Street never learns from its mistakes.

It also concerns me that commercial and industrial loans are contracting year-over-year, mortgage originations are down considerably since last year and consumer auto loans are the highest on record with a good chunk of outstanding originations in the ‘junk’ category.

Again, this is typical of late-cycle economic activity when the consumer and corporations are
leveraged, and governments have issued record levels of sovereign debt.

Then there’s S&P 500 Index, which ties in to my USD concerns.

The S&P 500 Index, in my view, has already entered an earnings recession this quarter and faces big hurdles as corporations report first quarter earnings later in April. The US Dollar is too strong. The USD
Index has rallied 6% year-over-year — one of its biggest gains since 2014. With the S&P 500 Index getting about 44% of revenues overseas, the dollar has a dramatic effect on earnings.  In any given year, the dollar’s performance impacts about 45% of net earnings, according to Morgan Stanley.

The dollar is going to hurt companies this quarter. As an important side note, the dollar’s ongoing ascent might also be telling investors that perhaps the Powell Fed isn’t done raising interest rates, despite his admission to ‘pausing’ in January. If markets climb to new highs again, the Fed might raise rates later this year, and that won’t be good for stocks.

The Opportunity

These global economic circumstances are changing investing trends and another analysts we track Tradestops.com shows that value shares are starting to heat up.

tradestops.com

Eric confirms the profit opportunity in this ETF.

Eric writes: I continue to advise gradually increasing exposure to global equities with a tilt towards the
emerging markets and value-based securities.

That’s especially the case when markets decline. Stocks have enjoyed huge gains since early January with no signs of weakening, supported by strong market breadth and a Fed now on their side. Also, the individual investor, who sold U.S. stock mutual funds and ETFs in 2018 (a good call) are still net sellers in 2019.

The Fed may have given a ‘green’ light to investors to speculate, but it’s imperative
remembering this is an advanced late-cycle global expansion. Cracks in some credit markets
are bearish signs and typical of leveraged expansions. Similar stresses on credit markets
began appearing in 2007 and in 1998. Big risks lie in the investment-grade bond market where issuance went off the charts from 2012 to 2018; almost half of this market is represented by BBB-rated debt or one notch above junk.

It’s an accident waiting to happen when defaults start rising. I’d avoid all bonds, except Treasury’s and some floating rate debt.

The iShares International Value Factor ETF (NYSE-IVLU) gained 1.9% in February and is up 9% this year.  This is the only international ETF I’ve surveyed that’s selling below book-value; IVLU closed February 27 trading at a 4% discount to book and just 9.4x trailing earnings. Big geographic holdings in Japan and Europe. BUY up to $24.50.

I sit up and take extra notice when two of  my advisors tell me the same thing.  My third advisor Keppler Asset Managers, as always recommends an equally weighted portfolio of  good value markets as described below.

To achieve this goal of diversification the Pifolio consists of Country Index ETFs.

There is an iShares country ETF for every market.

This report sells for $29.95 but in this special offer, you receive the report, “Three Currency Patterns for 50% Profits or More” FREE when you subscribe to Pi.

The sooner you hear what I have to say about current markets, the better you’ll be able to cash in on perhaps the best investing opportunity since 1982.

In this special offer, you can get this online seminar FREE when you subscribe to our Personal investing Course.

The Special Value of Value Now

Value investing has not been been in favor over the past few years.

This is why I created a course on investing in value.  There is extra opportunity in being out-of-step with markets.

First let me explain that even though value investments have not been the flavor of the era, our portfolios of value equities have done well.  The image below shows my personal Motif.com account that I created so we could track it in our Purposeful Investing Course (Pi).

This value portfolio (blue line) kept up nicely with the S&P 500 (green line) since we began this course, (Until May 2018.  In a moment I’ll explain why this current lag creates an extra, third opportunity).

pifolio

This portfolio is composed approximately 70% of shares from the Keppler Asset Management Developed Market Top Value Strategy and 30% from the Keppler Asset Management Emerging Market Top Value Strategy.

The strategy is to invest in Country ETFs that track the MSCI Indexes of the 18 best value stock markets (out of 43 markets) that Keppler tracks.   Here is the portfolio right now.  These are my actual investments in this portfolio.

motif.com

motif.com

Keppler asset management

This portfolio currently has triple “extra potential” value.

The first extra value is simply in pricing.  Top Value developed markets have a price-to-book that is “less than half” the US market (1.50 versus 3.29 for the US).  The PE ratios and dividend yields are also much better for these top value markets.

keppler asset management

The emerging markets have even better price to book rations, P/E ratios and yields.

keppler asset Management

The second “extra potential” value comes from extra performance when there is a major market shift and value stocks become popular again.

Value-based equities in the United States and overseas have lagged behind growth equities since 2009.   However research by Bank of America/Merrill Lynch over a 90-year period, found that while growth stocks returned an average of 12.6% annually since 1926.  Value stocks returned 17% per year over the same time frame.

Screen Shot 2018-07-10 at 5.46.39 PM

When the markets shift back to value, value shares will gain an “extra potential” spurt.

The third “extra potential” is based on currencies shifts.  The recent lag of our portfolio (versus the S&P 500) since May 2018  is due to the sudden rise of the US dollar.   This www.finance.yahoo chart,  “euro versus the dollar” shows how the euro weakened beginning in May 2018.

www.fincnae.yahoo.com

The Chinese yuan and other currencies have suffered downturns versus the greenback as well.

The factors above create a triple win proposition.

There are three other benefits in this strategy.

#1: Investing this way saves time.  Investing in country ETFs is a simple, easy fast way to invest.

#2: This type of portfolio saves on trading and management fees.    The ETFs have low fees.  Over the past 2.5 years our portfolio has had only four trades.

#3: There is enormous diversification in this portfolio.  A share in a country ETF represents an investment into dozens or hundreds of shares in the target country of the ETF.

During this era when value is unpopular, our Pi Top Value Portfolio has performed well.   Right now value investments have a special place to protect our savings and help them grow.

The Only 3 Reasons to Invest

garyheadshot

The stock market has always been the best place of places to protect and increase wealth over the long haul.   Yet it’s also been the worst place to lose money, a lot of it, quickly.

To achieve this goal of diversification the Pifolio consists of Country Index ETFs.

There is an iShares country ETF for every market.

This report sells for $29.95 but in this special offer, you receive the report, “Three Currency Patterns for 50% Profits or More” FREE when you subscribe to Pi.

The sooner you hear what I have to say about current markets, the better you’ll be able to cash in on perhaps the best investing opportunity since 1982.

Freedom of Time

Part of independence is economic stability and that takes time.

time

Time is more than money… it’s life itself.

Real freedom includes having the time to do the things we enjoy most.

But let’s face it,  the modern world demands a lot of our time.

We spend hours, days, months and years to build economic security.  Then it seems like we have to spend the rest of our time protecting what we saved from the multitudes who want to steal it.

For example, on average,  we already have to spend almost a third of our time to support our government.  Tax Freedom Day in 2018 was April 19.  That’s 109 days or 30% of our time to help pay the nation’s tax burden.

The latest federal tax law reduced this by three days from 2017, but that’s not much savings of time.

We know what we think about spending this much time on tax.  Mark Twain summed it up when he wrote:  “Patriotism is supporting your country all the time, and your government when it deserves it.”

Let’s look more deeply at the government’s demand on our time, why it’s likely to grow on most people and one way to redirect our use of time so life is better.

The image below shows the results of one survey on American’s biggest financial concerns.

concerns

The numbers of households who do not have enough money to maintain their living standard in retirement are huge.  15 million American households, about 40%, are headed by people aged 55 through 70.

The Wall Street Journal article “Growth in Retiring Baby Boomers Strains U.S. Welfare Programs” (1) shows how the economic concerns above are about to get worse because they begin straining the Social Security System next year.

The article says: Census projections see a rapid increase in retiree-age Americans, putting pressure on Social Security.

For decades, the ratio of retiree-aged adults to those of working age was steady at 19 U.S. adults age 65 and over for every 100 Americans between 18 and 64.

This old-age dependency ratio began a rapid shift in 2010 as Boomers began to retire. Let year the ratio had risen to 25 65s and older for every 100 in working age. The ratio is projected to climb to 35 retiree-age per 100 working age in the next decade.

This top-heavy age distribution is uncharted waters. We have no experience to rely on.

Much of the Western world is headed into an era of demographic mystery.

We cannot rely on the government to care for us as we enter this unknown realm. But creating our own economic stability can absorb all our time.

That’s why three years ago, after nearly 50 years of global investing,  I created a unique system that protects investments and wealth, increases the chances of maximum profit and saves huge amounts of time.

I call the system Purposeful Investing and it’s described below.

Most investors spend huge amounts of time studying economic news to protect their savings and wealth.  Regretfully most of that news is conjecture (at best).  Often economic news is even manipulated to help the hidden agenda of others… at our loss.

The truth is that opinions, reviews of past performance and assumptions are no guarantee of future performance.  We waste huge amounts of time on useless and often misleading information.

Purposeful investing uses math based financial data instead.  That data determines best value markets and creates portfolios of country ETFs that provide full diversification.  This approach  to value investing requires very little time, just an hour or two a month at most.  For example over the past two and a half  years, there has only been four changes in the global portfolio I hold using this system.

The best moments in life are not built on money.  Financial independence is only a means to access our more valuable asset, time.

Time.  Do not waste it.  The modern world continually tries to reduce our freedom to use our time for the greatest joy.  Most people are caught in this never ending trap.

We do not have to use our time in this way.

We can redirect how we spend our time so we enjoy more and more moments of it.

To achieve this goal of diversification the Pifolio consists of Country Index ETFs.

There is an iShares country ETF for every market.

How Big Investing is Small

Merri’s and my personal equity portfolio is one of the most complicated in the world.

Thousands of shares in 18 non US stock markets are represented.  The investments include dozens of currencies.  One precious metal has been added to the mix.

Yet this big, complicated portfolio has a small cost, requires only small amounts of time and has the smallest amount of worry.

Our trading cost for this monstrosity?

Less than $20 in the last two years.

This must take huge amounts of time?

Just minutes…

The investments took just minutes to buy and only spend minutes a week monitoring the results.

This gives me time to focus on my  passions-family, life and my work, which has always been a more dependable source of  sustenance than investments.

Here is a review of one of Merri’s and my personal investment accounts using the principles of the Purposeful Investing Course (Pi).

This particular Portfolio is held at the online brokers Motif.com.  This means that my original investment of $40,000 has trading costs of just $9.95.  I added the platinum ETF PLT which cost another $4.95 so my trading costs in two years has been less than $20.

This portfolio (Blue Line) has risen much faster than the S&P 500 (Green Line) in the last 6 months.

This personal Pifolio is heavily weighted in the developed markets. Here is why.

Pi depends on the value analysis of Keppler Asset Management and the latest Keppler analysis of good value emerging markets show that the price to book is 1.34 compared to 1.47 for good value developed markets.  The PE ratio of the emerging markets is much better, 12.9 versus 19.0 but here is the catch… the average dividend yield for emerging and developed markets is almost the same, 3.35% for emerging markets versus 3.31% for developed markets.

Developed markets have lower volatility.   This stability, along with the similar dividend yields, fits my personal needs (higher income) as Merri and I are in our 70s and we don’t work as hard as we used to.

Developed Market Values

This is a low cost portfolio.  The shares have been purchased at a good price to book value.

Compare the price to book of our portfolio to the US Stock Market.  We purchased our shares at about 1.4o to book.  On average you’ll buy US shares at 3.13 times their book value. On top of that, our portfolio earns an average yield of  about 3.3% compared to the average yield you’ll earn from US shares.

We can never know what will happen n the global economy.   We can know how much we are paying for this unknown and we are paying a lot less (and getting more).

Plus currently there is good appreciation.  We get all this plus enjoy more time because very little time is required to monitor this portfolio.

This is a formula which fits Merri’s and my needs and might fit yours as well!

Whatever your needs, when investing, always look for value, keep your costs low, diversify but not too much and remember that every investment has risk.

The Purposeful Development Course (Pi) is currently examining each Good Value Stock Market in good value countries, one at a time.  Learn more about Pi below.

Borrow Low – Deposit High

Turn $250 into $51,888… in Four Years or Less.   If someone offers you a deal like this, I would normally say “Run as fast as you can!”

Yet in 1986. This is exactly what I wrote in a report, The Silver Dip”  that told how to borrow British pounds to buy silver.  I must admit it. I was wrong. Readers who followed the report made nearly that amount ($46,299 to be exact) in only one year!

I have been updating this report since.  The last update showed how to get 2% loans that turned $39.95 into $28,185 profit.

Now is the time to borrow low and earn high again because… an amazing investing trend is taking place.

Most investors will miss it.   You do not have to lose out.

Let’s take a look why.

I have been helping readers use a little known, easy loan investing technique for over 30 years.   Almost any investor can get the loans.

The $39.95 is for a report that explains how to borrow $10,000… no loan application required.   You’ll  get the lowest interest rates in town according a Barron’s online review.

Right now the loan interest rates are between 1.41% to 2.66%.

Here is what happened the first time I issued this report over three decades ago.

The year was 1986.  The price of silver had crashed, I mean really crashed from $48 per ounce down to $4.85 in May 1986.

Everyone was afraid of investing in silver.

But I had been investing and writing and speaking about global investments since 1968.   When I issued the Silver Dip in 1985 I  had nearly 20 years of experience, so knew that when fear rules a market, the chance of profits are high.

As prices decreased from early 1983 into 1986, total supply of silver had fallen to 449.7 million ounces.  Mine production was restricted by the low prices at that time.  Secondary recovery of silver was constricted by low prices as well.

Then a “special silver pricing position” fell into place.

I showed readers how to borrow 10,000 British pounds at cheap interest rates, to invest in silver.   A British pound at that time was worth $1.86 so the loan was sufficient to buy 3,835 ounces of silver at $4.85 per ounce.

Silver’s price skyrocketed to over $11 an ounce within a year.  By 1987 the 3,835 ounces of silver was worth $42,185.

The profit did not stop there!

The loan was in British pounds.  By May 1987 the pound had dropped from $1.86 per pound to only $1.40 per pound.  The 10,000 pound loan that had been worth $18,600 in 1986 only required $14,000 to pay it off in 1987.

The falling pound had created an extra $4,600 profit.

Do the math:

Silver worth $42,185

Loan payoff  $14,000

Profit             $28,185

Cash Required  Zero

All of this profit was made on the 10,000 pound loan.  No extra cash was required on the investor’s part.

The $28,185 was pure… extra profit.

Let me add that some investors had borrowed even more.  Some less.  The report showed a loan to risk formula that investors could follow.

That was in the 1980s.  Silver’s special pricing position” does not happen often (this is why most investors miss it).

Nearly 30 years passed before the “silver’s special pricing position” fell into place again.

Conditions for the silver dip returned 30 years later in 2015.  The availability of low cost loans and silver’s price were perfect.

With investors watching global stock markets bounce up and down, most missed this important profit generating event.

My readers did not.

I had been watching the entire 30 years for “silver’s special pricing position” to return.

I had been watching currency shifts and interest rates distortions so I knew the best currency to borrow.

From 2011 to 2015 the price of silver had once again crashed from $48.35 to below $14 an ounce.

The “special silver pricing position” reappeared.

I dusted off the “Silver Dip” and updated it to the “Silver Dip 2015”.

I prepared a “Silver Dip 2015” report and shared it immediately.

The report paid off again.

From July 2015 to July 2016, the price of the silver ETF  iShares Silver Trust (Symbol SLV) rose from $13.92 and ounce to $18.71.  You can see the rise in the finance.yahoo.com chart below.

yahoo

A 10,000 pound loan (the pound was $1.52 per pound) purchased 1091 shares of the silver ETF SLV.   Those Shares rose to be worth $20,421 by 2016, a 34.34% additional profit.

The profit did not stop there!

The loan again was in British pounds.  From 2015 the pound dropped from $1.52 dollars per pound to only $1.39 dollars.  The 10,000 pound loan that had worth $15,200 in 2015 only required $13,900 to pay it off in 2016.

yahoo pound chart

The falling pound had created an extra $1,300 profit.

Do the math:

Silver worth $20,421

Loan payoff  $13,900

Profit             $6,521

Cash Required  Zero

All of this profit was made on the 10,000 pound loan.  No extra cash was required.

Again this was pure… extra profit.

Some investors borrowed less… others borrowed much more so their profits were even higher.

All the extra earnings were derived from a low cost, easy to obtain loan that almost any investor can have.

I would like to help you learn how to tap into this type of profit that most investors will miss… in my newest report “The Silver Dip 2019”.

First let me answer a really important question…  that if you have not asked, you should.

Isn’t there some risk?

Yes.  There is always risk when you invest.

The first golden rule of investing outlined in the Silver Dip 2019 report is…”there is always something we do not know”.

The numbers above are what have happened.   We never know for sure what will happen.

2015 was similar to 1986.  Investors were afraid of silver.  Courage was required and this is exactly why dip investments work so well.

When most investors are afraid of a precious metal, extra good value is created!

Plus there is a way to dramatically increase the odds that your investment will be safe and that you’ll reap the type of high rewards I have described above.

The formula for increasing safety and improving the odds for profit are included in the new report, “Silver Dip 2019”.

The benefit of 50 years experience.

With so many years of experience in watching markets, metals, bonds, interest rates and currencies, I have learned many special pricing situations to watch for.

The “Silver Dip 2019” report shows a new, even bigger opportunity.  I continuously watch for aberrations in currency and precious metal markets.   Sometimes a rare quirk, such as we saw with the pound loans and the Silver Dip offer potential for profit, with very little risk of long term loss.

Investors who speculate on platinum at the correct time can make fortunes.

If  the Silver Dip 2019 does not bring you the benefits you expect, just let me know within 60 days and I’ll send you a quick, no questions asked, full refund.

I can’t promise that silver’s price will rise in the next 60 days.  I can guarantee you’ll be fully satisfied with the report or… you can have your money back in full.

The Best Way to Avoid a Flash Crash

The best way to avoid a flash crash is to avoid the noise in the first place.   Here are excerpts from an update we sent to our Pi (Purposeful investing Course) subscribers earlier this week.

This week my friend, Dr. Richard Smith, founder of Tradestops sent me this chart and the note below.

tradestops

Richard’s comments show the importance of value investing.

Richard wrote: Gary,  On Friday morning last week, I awoke to the following dramatic headline.  “U.K. pound plunges more than 6% in mysterious flash crash”.

It was a good reminder of how important it is to tune-out the day to day noise of the markets … and why we focus on end-of-day closing prices and keeping our stops out of the markets.  Here’s what the chart of the British pound looks like for the past few days (chart above).

The current VQ on the pound is only 6.8%. That means that it’s reasonable to expect the pound to move around, up or down, in a range of about 7% over the course of a year or more. Instead, investors saw a 6% correction in the pound in a matter of minutes.

Richard made a valuable point here.

Professional stock and currency traders sort through tens of thousands of pieces of information every day, every hour, every minute and even every second.  They use highly sophisticated equipment, complex algorithms and have tens, hundreds of millions, even billions of dollars to diversify so they can make profit off tiny market moves.  The size of their investments and access to controls of the market also allow them to cheat, manipulate and rig markets.  We know they do.

However, even if we are professionals with these assets, we have no business trying to play this game in this way.

We need low risk, high value investing strategies that repeatedly spot contrasts, distortions and trends which can dramatically increase profits, but are slow and easy to use.

We don’t have time to analyze all the economies, companies, stock and currency markets.  This would not improve profits anyway, plus there are better things to do with our time!

All we need is value and time to outperform the pros.  When it comes to investment trading, knowing less can be better than knowing more.  Doing less is usually better than doing more.

Passive index ETFs outperform mutual funds managed by professional traders 75% of the time.  Reports say that Fidelity did a performance review of accounts between 2003 and 2013 to find which accounts did the best.  The review found that the best performing accounts were from investors who had not had any activity for long periods of ten up to twenty years.

This is why we use and promote the idea of  investing in long term, equally weighted, diversified portfolios of good value country ETFs.

Studies show that this type of portfolio outperforms global markets for the long term.

This type of good value base also allows us to use leverage short term when we see distortions that provide extra short term profit, such as the crashing British pound.

For example, last November we showed readers how to use this portfolio of good value ETFs as a base for an added speculation in the iShare Silver Trust.

Silver had dropped to a special low and the gold silver spread had reached a historic high.  These distortions showed that silver had special value.  The iShare Silver Trust ETF (symbol SLV), priced at US$13.60 per share.

The timing was superb and the shares rose from $13.21 to $19.60.  They have fallen back to $16.73 but this still represents a 26% gain over the year, before forex profit.

stock charts

The Pi update also reviewed an easy way to make a leveraged investment in silver using a British pound loan.  It showed how to use the good value portfolio as collateral to borrow in a US brokerage margin account.

The British pound parity was US$1.54 per pound last November (it’s now around 1.26) and as the pound fell over the year there was a forex profit of 16.43% gain for the year.

This is quiet investing at its best.  Combine good value with leveraged market distortions.  Use the good value portfolio as collateral and you have slow, easy, but highly profitable ways to invest.

This report sells for $29.95 but in this special offer, you receive the report, “Three Currency Patterns for 50% Profits or More” FREE when you subscribe to Pi.

You also learn from the Value Investing Seminar, our premier course, that we have been conducting for over 30 years.  Tens of thousands of delegates have paid up to $999 to attend.  Now you can join the seminar online FREE in this special offer.
