Tangled Webs – A Web Business Course – Introduction

Tangled Webs – A Web Business Course

Introduction

White lights sparkle from barren Sloane Square trees onto Peter Jones department store displays.  Chelsea, London…around January 1972. I was walking up the King’s Road. London’s weather was damp and cold but my spirits were high.  The fountain in the square bubbled. Taxis wheezed their oily rattle and the tube rumbled below.  This was where the action was…for me at least then.

I had left my business in Hong Kong and moved to London…living on Radnor Walk just off the King’s Road near the Radnor Arms pub…a perfect place for a twenty  something year old to be…then.

Fast forward…40 years.  Merri and I still love London…for maybe three days…then we retire quickly to our quiet Andean, Blue Ridge or Pacific beach retreats.   Times and tastes change. As do wants…needs and desires.

Welcome to this course, “The Tangled Webs We Weave – How to Have Your Own Internet Business.”   A course that can help you change …  survive … prosper and welcome change.  Because life is change and change brings tangled webs.

This course is being written now but was really researched on the turbulent waters of the South China Sea…along the King’s Road Chelsea…by the black walls of Edinburgh Castle…on the gentle slopes of Cotswold hills, on Copenhagen docks and along the soft sands of the Gulf of Mexico.

Throw in a pinch of North Carolina woods, Andean mountains, technology and fate…and you have this course about how to get ahead of the tangle with the web. Never before has it been possible for an individual with capital to build a business…survive…do well and even beat big business because of change and the web.

This is because Tangled Webs is a course about how to create your own business…on the web…the internet and we must plunge much deeper then just business and internet technology to truly understand the web.   This electronic virtual world is just a reflection and tool in a much bigger…deeper…real web.

For years, one of my favorite success sayings has been that the three most important choices we make in life are; who our parents will be, what country we are born in, and where we are standing when the volcano explodes.

In short  business… the world… the universe… existence… all of life…is a tangled web… that has been spun and continues to spin from almost imperceptible threads.

These threads, spun from our hidden unwinding, have brought us to the internet…as a reflection of who we have been…what we now are and who we will become.

Consequently a course on just the internet would be like a car without an engine. A course just about the internet and business would be a complete car but without a driver.   Plus we need to include the journey and destination as well!

Tangled Web weaves the history of Merri’s and my business … how it evolved … how it morphed from a print publishing business to internet only and how we use websites and email in business now.

We’ll look at how to create websites using the seven Ps…

Passion
Problem
Person
Profitably Priced Product
Prospecting Path
Promise
Presentation

We’ll let our webmaster examine all the technical aspects of how to run an internet business:

Search Engine Optimization
Pay Per Click
Landing Pages
Email Generators
List Controllers
Shopping Carts
Servers

Yet we’ll dig deeper, right to the essence of a successful internet business that successfully untangles the web because I suspect that this course has the possibility to go out of date faster than any I have ever written before. The Internet evolves so quickly and there are always new things being added. It’s enough to make your head spin.

But what you will learn here are the fundamentals that work in business on the Internet. We’ll cut through the fog and show you what works for us and how to build a solid business regardless of what changes come about in technology, search engines or what the new “Internet fad” may be.

We will also deal with evolution and fate… how they work in business and how they can help your web business grow from this starting point.

This course will end differently than foreseen. Each sentence shared has potential to spark new ideas.  Your questions, as the course unfolds, will undoubtedly alter the course of this course.

I can almost guarantee that your business will not evolve exactly as you imagined either.  Business plans are guesstimates that help improve a business as it grows…but rarely a real guide.  Experience refines and improves us as our act of doing a business teaches us.  We can never see what we do not know. Only doing reveals this.  Plus technology and fate mix into our progress as well.

Let’s go back to that winter walk down the King’s Road about 40 years years ago. I could not have imagined that being there would mean my son (to be born years away) would be British.  I could not have looked at the many shop windows there and seen in their reflection that he would go to the University in Edinburgh many years later.

I would have missed my visit to that Scottish city to find a meditation teacher for my son…nor that I would give that teacher one of my courses on how to have an international business.  How could I have known that this would lead that teacher to publish his own book that would so impress a Swedish computer whiz that he hired the teacher to work in his computer firm where he learned his internet skills.
Nor would I have known how that at teacher’s suggestion a decade later I would start my website which would eventually become a huge portion of our business.

What a tangled unforeseeable web..that turned out so well.

None of this was in my business plan!  Nor will the unseen threads that tangle the web of your life and business be in yours.

So what do we know about this course?

We know:

#1: That the the facts…figures…principles and ideas we’ll share, if applied will work for your business right now.

#2: That these lessons will prepare you for a web based business in the here and now that is in a position to evolve with the internet as it continues to shift and grow.

#3: That you can make millions in this type of business as I have.

#4: That this business can give you enormous freedom because you can operate anywhere.  This introduction was written in a tiny Andean village in Ecuador.  The outline below was written at our deep woods Blue Ridge farm.  The work before and the words scribbled next week will be on the Pacific coast. This year, I’ll likely send you messages from Florida, Oregon, London, Copenhagen, as well as North Carolina and Ecuador…plus who knows where.

#5: We’ll make this course fun…because in the end this course is about how to create an enjoyable business journey transported over the web.

Here are the lessons we have planned now.

New Year Economic Lesson

2008 provided many economic lessons that we can use in the new year.

I am one of the luckiest guys in the world because several of the most important new year economic lessons this year were provided by my children.  This allows me to be a bragging dad and actually share a worthwhile point in the process.

The first lesson, which I share repeatedly in my various websites is “there is always something we do not know.”   This was just proven when i planned this Christmas  to be a quiet one…a leisurely drive to Florida…a wonderful day with our daughter, son-in-law and grandson.

Little did Dad (aka me) know that the children were plotting…traveling from Florida and England to give me a surprise…showing up a couples day’s early so we could cut a Christmas tree on the farm…decorate and essentially Deck the Halls and enjoy Christmas on the farm.

What a surprise… pr0ving the point that the dads are always the last to know. Let’s hope I sniff out the equity markets in 2009 better than I realized what the kids and Merri were plotting.

We had a great time together… cooking… eating… hiking… doing the farm work together and…

New-Year-Economic-Lesson

allowing our eldest grandson, Garren, to continue his love affair with our hound dog, Ma.

New-years-economic-lesson

It turns out that this huge deception of joy was thought up and organized by our youngest, Eleanor.   Here I am hiking with Ele in the woods.

New-Year-Economic-Lesson

While the children were with us, we had a great deal of time to talk and she surprised me by sharing two valuable New Year economic lessons.

The first lesson came when she was telling me about her latest efforts at getting some of her students auditions and roles in London West End shows.  Ele started as an entrepreneur early. She owns a performing arts school in London that teaches dancing,  drama and singing.  Here are some of her students in the production of Aladdin they are currently performing.

New-year-economic-lesson

Ele is just 27 years old and her  school is a franchised operation…one of about 600.  She is one of the youngest owners yet has one of the top ten busiest schools.

One reason for her success is the enormous energy and passion she puts into her business.  Another reason for  her success is she has a growing reputation for getting her students professional roles in the London theater.

She currently has eight of her students working in London’s West End.

Two are in the Sound of Music at the London Palladium on Argyll Street.

Two are in Rodger and Hammerstein’s Carousel at the Savoy on the Strand.

One is  in Disney’s  Lion King, at the Lyceum Theatre on Wellington Street.

One is in Les Miserables at the Queen’s Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue.

I was a bit surprised at this success and asked her the tricks.  She replied:

“This is very simple.  I give the children who have extra talent free lessons. I bring them to my home and work with them there.”

When I questioned the wisdom of giving away her services as being part of a good business model, she replied:

“This is not about the money, Dad. The thrill of hearing those kids when they call me and tell  they were selected is worth every minute I put into this. I love those calls so much,  I am happy to devote my time and effort.”

This is the secret. Do what you love and figure out how to make money in the process.

In Ele’s case, she has profited indirectly…but the profit is not the purpose. this is a matter of fulfillment and of the heart.

This has always been an important idea, but grows in importance now.  Our message about the upcoming 2011 disaster showed an economic distortion that is so grave it will force many of us to continue working… or  to work more then expected or… to start working for oneself when an existing job is eliminated.

This problem is so acute and the importance of having more people do what they love is so vital that we have decided to write a new course…on how to develop your own international internet business.

Before I begin this course, I want to make a special offer…that gives you this course free.

Please let me explain why.

Years ago, Merri and I  had 23,000 print readers…micro sized in publishing terms….but very, very profitable for us.  We made millions from this business.

Merri and I believe that in this rapidly changing world…small is beautiful.

When money stopped mattering as much, our children were grown, finished with university, we sold our print business and took a year off…lived with a shaman high in the Andes.

Then we morphed into an internet only business.  Our readership began small, with  about 1,600 email readers.  We expected to slow down and smell the roses more.  We even bought an isolated hacienda high in the Andes called Rosaspamba (Place of roses).

As crazy as it seems, we could actually run a business with this small readership and make a profit because our readers are so wonderfully responsive.

Why?  How?

This is what the new course I am creating will teach you….how to have a small, safe, profitable global internet business by creating wonderfully response, fun to be with, like-minded customers.

How small?

Today, our business remains micro sized but we have grown from 1,600 readers to four  main subscription lists consisting of 15,947 subscribers.

How safe?

The downturn of 2008 has not slowed us a bit.   In fact we  are growing faster, in number of subscribers and income, than ever.   At a time that  many say is economically depressed, our sales are way up and growing almost every month.

How profitable?

Our list and sales are still tiny compared to many of our competitors and associates who make millions a month.   We make tens of thousands.

Yet we have been able to add this extra income with a surprisingly small amount of added overheads.  This number works perfectly for Merri and me…a fun sized readership. In our opinion, this should be the key in business… satisfaction… fulfillment and fun…through service along with the profit.

Yet, profits do matter. Almost every month our internet sales have been rising. In 2008 they rose nearly every month created a new records in sales for us.

These internet sales alone have given us the freedom to live in an isolated Blue Ridge farm during summers and in Ecuador the rest of the year…yet still earn tens of thousands of extra dollars a month.

Now you can learn everything I do to create this extra income and have fun and fulfillment in a micro publishing business.

The syllabus of this course will help you learn how to find something that is fun, fulfilling and profitable for you to do.

Our growing income is one reason I have decided to create this course.

Second, the economic downturn of 2008 means that more of my readers will need a new way to earn in the years ahead.

Yet the third reason was the straw that made me decide to do this….my webmaster who helped me start this site has agreed to co-write the course with me.  Merri and I will explain what Merri and I do in the business.  The writing…the marketing…the product planning and such.   Our webmaster will outline the technical part. How to chose a server…set up a shopping cart…create pay per click systems…send thousands of emails a day.

Let me be frank. I  have an inside track. My webmaster is part of my family…my son-in-law.

The relationship is reversed though. He was my webmaster first… son-in-law second. Our daughter joined us in a visit to London where during the trip, I had a short business meeting with him.   Our daughter stopped in to say “Hi.”

Kablammmm…love at first site.

So, in a way, here is the result of our business…our grand daughters, Sequoia and Teeka!

new-year-economic-lesson

Talk about fringe benefits!

Though we like to remain small, this does not mean all of our students will.  Our webmaster started with us first but since has grown to be the chief internet consultant for several much larger internet marketing companies that send over a billion emails a year!

I’ll be explaining the course in detail in the new year…what I will share and what my webmaster will share as well…how the course will help you.  Right now I honestly do not know everything what will be in the course.

Previous courses have always evolved as they are written because of the questions that are asked as the lessons are sent.

This is why I want to offer this emailed course (which has not yet be written) to you free.

Here is a  special New Year’s offer.

I currently provide two internet courses that can help you have your own small global business.

Merrily Farms at Little Horse Creek

Merrily Farms at Little Horse Creek is the epitome of Smalltown USA.

Our 252 acre Merrily Farms at Little Horse Creek shows how small business inspiration comes in all forms… from everywhere… every day.

Welcome to Little Horse Creek… where it is…

In times that so many perceive as tumultuous, inspiration becomes even more valuable and important in business.  The news on the internet, in the papers and on TV are so filled with negativity that it can be catching. In such eras, those who see positive realities gain an extra edge.

You own small business can help you enjoy a lifestyle of freedom… such as Merri and I have.

Our international micro business allows us to live part time at our remote North Carolina farm on Little Horse Creek.

Here is the creek…

Ecuador Pet Regulations

Ecuador pet regulations allow easy access to pets in Ecuador.

Pets are important for many people who wish to bring them to Ecuador.

We have a dog named Ma. Actually she is really a fairy princess in disguise, but she travels with us to Ecuador as a pet so we have been through the process about a dozen times. This note is based on our experience and what we have been told by the Florida agriculture department and our vets.

Here is Ma at our Blue Ridge Farm.

Ecuador-pet-in-the-Blue-Ridge

Here she is, our pet, hiking in the mountains of Ecuador.

ecuador-pet-hiking

We have also helped numerous clients brings down their dogs. We are told the same rules apply to cats.

There are two issues, those relating to the government regulation and those relating to the airline.

First, check with the airline, whether your pet travel in the plane or in the hold?

Each airline has a weight limit on pets that travel in the cabin, usually around 20 pounds. Some airlines only allow one pet in the cabin on each flight. Picture two dogs in a fight at 30,000 feet and you can imagine why.

Check with the airline you will use before you buy your ticket. We have found that not all airline employees know all the rules so we usually check twice at different times. Make sure you get the same answer twice!

If your pet is traveling in the hold, make sure of the weather. Some airlines will not carry pets during hot seasons. There is a risk of overheating. Pets have died in overheated holds.

We also recommend that you check that the flight will not be making layovers anywhere that has a hot climate

Next ask whether you Ecuador pet will travel in the hold as a pet or as cargo.

If your pet and cage weigh 100 pounds or more, baggage regulations require that they travel as cargo. Tariffs increase, plus your pet must be loaded at a different place rather than your check in counter.

This covers our experience to date. Different airlines charge different amounts for pets. We find that fees and rules change so we always check with the airline again before we buy our tickets.

Here is our pet Ma hiking with me above Cotacachi Ecuador.

ecuador-pet-in-cotacachi

Next you must comply with US and Ecuador pet regulations.

Ten days before the flight a vet, (it is best to use one that has attended a US Dept. of Agriculture course on this) must inspect animal for vaccinations and give a certificate of good health. If a vaccination has exired and you do not want to renew it, you can request a titer.

You can obtain a full report on how to bring pets to Ecuador as an Ecuador Living subscriber.

If you love pets then you will enjoy knowing about two Ecuador Living subscribers, Lee and Peg Carper. They actually came down here at the end of last year because two of their friends had visited Ecuador and Cotacachi and then raved about it on their return.

P1010995

Lee and Peg are dog lovers and brought their own two dogs down to Ecuador twice. Many other have brought their canine children down too in the last two years.

Such is Lee and Peg’s love for dogs that they couldn’t help notice that some of our dogs around Cotacachi are not in the best of shape. Too put it mildly there’s probably more than a few strays wondering the streets.

I can’t say that I’ve noticed so many but a real dog lover like Lee got to thinking what he could do to solve this issue.

It so happens that our friend and neighbor Jose Sativa, an animal vet who has an animal feed store opposite Meson de las Flores, and also a wonderful mini-ranch with horses just on the edge of town has a soft spot for dogs too. He has two very well trained and groomed dobermans. A third friend is Doctor Alban, the vet who treats and certifies Ma, Gary and Merri’s hound dog.

A dream was born. A foundation will be set up to open an animal clinic where stray dogs will be first fed regularly, then treated and finally spayed or neutered. The aim is to then have the clinic open at least one day a week for free treatment of the pets of the local townsfolk too.

One reason why there is an abundance of strays is that folks start off with good intentions when they buy or take on dogs but then find it a struggle to provide for them.

Here is Lee’s first story about living in Ecuador – a community sense of belonging develops as he helps a new found friend he christened “Hairless”.

P5180040-1

“A few weeks or so ago while I was staying at Meson de las Flores an almost wild looking dog was walking up the sidewalk and looked very bony and had very little spirit in his eyes.

I quickly got some dog food and tried to get him to come to me, but he kept a distance of about ten or twelve feet. Realizing he was not going to come close enough to pet him, I dropped a good portion of dog food for him to eat and stepped back far enough that he ate the food quickly and was wanting more.

After giving him a second helping he ran off and I did not see him for a couple of days.

Anyways, after a week or so of feeding him off and on, he let me pet him and that is when I saw that 65% to 70% of his hair was missing!

I had told my wife about him and as she was in the US she said she was hoping he would be there when she returned to see and help him. Shortly after her return he showed up and she was taken back by his appearance, but by this time he and I were good friends and she saw how affectionate he was and wanted to help him.

As chance would have it, a local vet across the street had come over and said he needed a shot to get rid of certain parasites that were depleting him of nutrition and hair! After finding out it would only cost $2.50 for the injection we went to his office and I held him while the vet gave him the shot.

The next day he showed up and I bent down to pet him, but after a while I stood up and he grabbed at my hand to play! He was getting better in just 24 hours!

Today we saw him and fed him as we talked to him and petted him and he has hair filling back in already! He is such an affectionate dog for having gone through the hardships he has and will or would make a great pet for someone…….it may even be us! It is amazing what a little food and a little medication can do to help the less fortunate animals running the streets.”

P5180041-1

This is a project which will hopefully take off because Lee and Peg are so passionate and enthusiastic about helping the dogs that it’s contagious so two recent visitors left donations to help pay for the shots.

Micro Business Beat Inflation V

Business always beats inflation…by adjusting prices up.

This is why we are providing a FREE course on how to develop your own International internet business written by Michelle Toole. Here is Michelle’s 24th article.

The Power of a Good Press Release:

A press release…?

You are probably wondering if this is something you should consider. The answer is a resounding yes.
A “press release” announces a newsworthy piece of information. Distribution can be either through offline or online media outlets. It is an additional way to gain free publicity or “buzz” about your business, drive traffic, and potentially generate inbound links to your site. Simply put it means you can reach thousands of potential new readers, overnight…..not bad for a simple press release.

A press release is “A public relations announcement issued to the news media and other targeted publications for the purpose of letting the public know of company developments.”

Why Use a Press Release?

A press release is one of several ways to build word-of-mouth traffic to your site Keep in mind, though, that press releases tend to give short pulses of traffic. Of course don’t discount your press release’s traffic potential. If readers of your release go to your site, like what they see, and subscribe to your e-zine or your RSS feed, their repeat visits are bound to increase. Your site is now on their radar screens. Your press release did its job!

Who Can Use Press Releases?

As a Web site owner, you are a self-publisher of information about your specific field or niche. So when you have a valuable piece of information or new developments to share, it will be advantageous to create a short press release to spread the word. (“How-to” info is presented later on.)

Nothing to announce?

Here are some ideas:

Sometimes, it’s simply a matter of doing some extra research to find a possible news item that you can use to your advantage. Subscribe to relevant RSS news feeds or e-zines to keep up-to-date with topics related to your site’s theme. All you need is something to spark an idea.

For example, you could write a press release about a new product in the marketplace, or a new law, or recent study results, etc. Use your “expertise” status in that niche to offer the details in your own words.

Conclusion

If you’re not using press releases, you’re missing an opportunity to drive “short-burst” traffic and to potentially increase the number of incoming links to your site. So…
Whenever you have something relevant and newsworthy to say, do so! Press releases are a smart addition to your site marketing repertoire.

How We Can Serve You

How to Have Real Safety

garyheadshot

There are only three reasons why we should invest.  We invest for income.  We invest to resell our investments for more than we had invested.  We invest to make our world a better place.

We should not invest for fun, excitement or to get rich quick, or in a panic due to market corrections.

This is why the core Pi model portfolio (that forms the bulk of my own equity portfolio) consists of 19 shares and this position has not changed in over two years.  During these two years we have been steadily accumulating the same 19 shares and have not traded once.

The portfolio has done well in 2017, up 22.6%, better than the DJI Index.

motif

However one or even two year’s performance is not enough data to create a safe strategy.

The good value portfolio above is based entirely on good value financial information and mathematically based safety programs developed around models that date back 91 and 24 years.

The Pifolio is a theoretical portfolio of MSCI Country Benchmark Index ETFs that cover all the good value markets developed combining my 50 years of investing experience with study of the mathematical market value analysis of Keppler Asset Management and the mathematical trend analysis of Tradestops.com.

In my opinion, Keppler is one of the best market statisticians in the world.  Numerous very large fund managers, such as State Street Global Advisers, use his analysis to manage over $2.5 billion of funds.

The Pifolio analysis begins with Keppler who continually researches international major stock markets and compares their value based on current book to price, cash flow to price, earnings to price, average dividend yield, return on equity and cash flow return.  He compares each major stock market’s history.

Fwd: keppler

Michael Kepler CEO Keppler Asset Management.

Michael is a brilliant mathematician.  We have tracked his analysis for over 20 years.   He continually researches international major stock markets and compares their value based on current book to price, cash flow to price, earnings to price, average dividend yield, return on equity and cash flow return.  He compares each stock market’s history.  From this, he develops his Good Value Stock Market Strategy and rates each market as a Buy, Neutral or Sell market.  His analysis is rational, mathematical and does not cause worry about short term ups and downs.  Keppler’s strategy is to diversify into an equally weighted portfolio of the MSCI Indices of each BUY market.

This is an easy, simple and effective approach to zeroing in on value because little time, management and guesswork is required.  You are investing in a diversified portfolio of good value indices.

A BUY rating for an index does NOT imply that any stock in that country is an attractive investment, so you do not have to spend hours of research aimed at picking specific shares.  It is not appropriate or enough to instruct a stockbroker to simply select stocks in the BUY rated countries.  Investing in the index is like investing in all the shares in the index.  You save time because all you have to do is invest in the ETF to gain the profit potential of the entire market.

To achieve this goal of diversification the Pifolio consists of Country Index ETFs.

Country Index ETFs are similar to an index mutual fund but are shares normally traded on a major stock exchange that tracks an index of shares in a specific country.  ETFs do not try to beat the index they represent.  The management is passive and tries to emulate the performance of the index.

A country ETF provides diversification into a basket of equities in the country covered.  The expense ratios for most ETFs are lower than those of the average mutual fund as well so such ETFs provide diversification and cost efficiency.

Here is the Pifolio I personally use.

70% is diversified into Keppler’s good value (BUY rated) developed markets: Australia, Austria, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Norway, Singapore and the United Kingdom.

30% of the Pifolio is invested in Keppler’s good value (BUY rated) emerging markets: Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, the Czech Republic, South Korea, Malaysia and Taiwan.

The Pifolio consists of iShares ETFs that invested in each of the MSCI indicies of the good value BUY markets.

For example, the iShares MSCI Australia (symbol EWA) is a Country Index ETF that tracks the investment results the Morgan Stanley Capital Index MSCI Australia Index which is composed mainly of large cap and small cap stocks traded primarily on the Australian Stock Exchange mainly of companies in consumer staples, financials and materials. This ETF is non-diversified outside of Australia.

iShares is owned by Black Rock, Inc. the world’s largest asset manager with over $4 trillion in assets under management.

Pi uses math to reveal the best value markets then protects its positions using more math created by Richard Smith founder and CEO of Tradestops.com to track each share’s trend.

We use Smith’s  algorithms that calculate momentum of the good value markets.

dr richard smith

The Stock State Indicators at Tradestops.com act as a full life-cycle measure that indicates the health of each stock. They are designed to tell you at a glance exactly where any stock stands relative to Dr. Smith’s proprietary algorithms.

Kepppler’s analysis shows the value of markets.  The SSI signal indicates the current trend of each stock (performing well, or in a period of correction, or stopped out).

The SSI tells you one of five things:

Screen Shot 2017-08-08 at 6.51.59 AM

Screen Shot 2017-08-08 at 6.52.12 AM

Screen Shot 2017-08-08 at 6.52.22 AM

Akey component of the Stock State Indicator (SSI) system is momentum based on the latest 521 days of trading.  A stock changes from red to green in the SSI system only after it has already gone up a healthy amount and has started a solid uptrend.

How SSI Alerts Are Triggered

If the position has already moved more than its Volatility Quotient below a recent high, the SSI Stop Loss will trigger.  This is an indicator that the position has corrected more than what is normal for this stock.  It means to take caution.

Below is an example of how SSIs work.  This example shows the Developed Market Pifolio that we track at Tradestops.com.

tradestops

Equal Weight Good Value Developed Market Pifolio.

At the time this example was copied, all the ETFs in the Developed Market Pifolio (above) currently had a green SSI.

We do not know when the US market will fall.  We only do know that it will.  We also do not know if, when the US market corrects, global markets will follow or rise instead.

The fact that the Pifilios are invested in good value markets reduces long term risk.

Additional protection is added by using trailing stops based on the 521 day momentum of each stock in the Pifolio.

Take for example the graph below from our Tradestops account that shows the iShares MSCI United Kingdom ETF.  This ETF had a green SSI and a Volatility Index (VQ) of 13.26%.  This means the share can move 13.26% before there is a trend shift.

tradestops

iShares MSCI United Kingdom ETF (Symbol EWU)

Pi purchased the share at$31.26 and in this example the share was $34.43 and rising.  Tradestop’s algorithms suggested that if the price drops to $31.69 its momentum would have stopped and it would have shifted into trading sideways.   The stop loss price is currently $29.86.  If EWU continues to rise, both the yellow warning and the stop loss price will rise as well.

When the US stock market bull ends, know one knows for sure how long or how severe the correction will be.

When the bear arrives, what will happen to global and especially good value markets?

No  one knows the answer to this question.

What we do know is that the equally weighted, good value market Pifolios have the greatest potential long term and that math based trailing stops can be used to protect against a secular global stock market correction when it comes.

My fifty years of global investing experience helps take advantage of numerous long term cycles that are part of the universal math that affects all investments.

You also receive two special reports.

In the 1980s, a remarkable set of two economic circumstances helped anyone who spotted them become remarkably rich.  Some of my readers made enough to retire.  Others picked up 50% currency gains.  Then the cycle ended.  Warren Buffett explained the importance of this ending in a 1999 Fortune magazine interview.  He said:  Let me summarize what I’ve been saying about the stock market: I think it’s very hard to come up with a persuasive case that equities will over the next 17 years perform anything like—anything like—they’ve performed in the past 17!

I did well then, but always thought, “I should have invested more!”  Now those circumstances have come together and I am investing in them again.

The circumstances that created fortunes 30 years ago were an overvalued US market (compared to global markets) and an overvalued US dollar.  The two conditions are in place again!

30 years ago, the US dollar rose along with Wall Street.  Profits came quickly over three years.  Then the dollar dropped like a stone, by 51%  in just two years.  A repeat of this pattern is growing and could create up to 50% extra profit if we start using strong dollars to accumulate good value stock market ETFs in other currencies.

This is the most exciting opportunity I have seen since we started sending our reports on international investing ideas more than three decades ago.  The trends are so clear that I have created a short, but powerful report “Three Currency Patterns for 50% Profits or More.”   This report shows how to earn an extra 50% from currency shifts with even small investments.  I kept the report short and simple, but included links to 153 pages of  Good Value Stock Market research and Asset Allocation Analysis.

The report shows 20 good value investments and a really powerful tactic that shows the most effective and least expensive way to accumulate these bargains in large or even very small amounts (less than $5,000).  There is extra profit potential of at least 50% so the report is worth a lot.

This report sells for $29.95 but in this special offer, you receive the report, “Three Currency Patterns for 50% Profits or More” FREE when you subscribe to Pi.

Plus get the $39.95 report “The Platinum Dip 2018” free.

With investors watching global stock markets bounce up and down, many missed two really important profit generating events over the last two years.  The price of silver dipped below $14 an ounce as did shares of the iShares Silver ETF (SLV).   The second event is that the silver gold ratio hit 80, compared to a ratio of 230 only two years before.

In September 2015, I prepared a special report “Silver Dip 2015” about a silver speculation, leveraged with a British pound loan, that could increase the returns in a safe portfolio by as much as eight times.  The tactics described in that report generated 62.48% profit in just nine months.

I have updated this report and added how to use the Dip Strategy with platinum.   The “Platinum Dip 2018” report shares the latest in a series of long term lessons gained through 40 years of speculating and investing in precious metals.  I released the 2015 report, when the gold silver ratio slipped to 80.  The ratio has corrected and that profit has been taken and now a new precious metals dip has emerged.

I have prepared a new special report “Platinum Dip 2018” about a leveraged speculation that can increase the returns in a safe portfolio by as much as eight times.

seminars

Tens of thousands have paid up to $999 to attend.

In 2018 I celebrate my 52nd anniversary in the investing business and 50th year of writing about global investing.  Our reports and seminars have helped readers have better lives, with less stress yet make fortunes during up and down markets for decades.  This information is invaluable to investors large and small because even small amounts can easily be invested in the good value shares we cover in our seminar.

Stock and currency markets are cyclical.  These cycles create extra profit for value investors who invest when everyone else has the markets wrong.  One special seminar session looks at how to spot value from cycles.  Stocks rise from the cycle of war, productivity and demographics.  Cycles create recurring profits.  Economies and stock markets cycle up and down around every 15 to 20 years as shown in this graph.

stock-Charts

The effect of war cycles on the US Stock Market since 1906.

Bull and bear cycles are based on cycles of human interaction, war, technology and productivity.  Economic downturns can create war.

The chart above shows the war – stock market cycle.  Military struggles (like the Civil War, WWI, WWII and the Cold War: WW III) super charge inventiveness that creates new forms of productivity…the steam engine, the internal combustion engine,  production line processes, jet engines, TV, farming techniques, plastics, telephone, computer and lastly during the Cold War, the internet.  The military technology shifts to domestic use.  A boom is created that leads to excess.  Excess leads to correction. Correction creates an economic downturn and again to war.

Details in the online seminar include:

* How to easily buy global currencies, shares and bonds.

* Trading down and the benefits of investing in real estate in Small Town USA.  We will share why this breakout value is special and why we have been recommending good value real estate in this area since 2009.

* What’s up with gold and silver?  One session looks at my current position on gold and silver and asset protection.  We review the state of the precious metal markets and potential problems ahead for US dollars.  Learn how low interest rates eliminate  opportunity costs of diversification in precious metals and foreign currencies.

* How to improve safety and increase profit with leverage and staying power.  The seminar reveals Warren Buffett’s value investing strategy from research published at Yale University’s website.  This research shows that the stocks Buffet chooses are safe (with low beta and low volatility), cheap (value stocks with low price-to-book ratios), and high quality (stocks of companies that are profitable, stable, growing, and with high payout ratios). His big, extra profits come from leverage and staying power.  At times Buffet’s portfolio, as all value portfolios, has fallen, but he has been willing and able to wait long periods for the value to reveal itself and prices to recover.

keppler asset management chart

This chart based on a 45 year portfolio study shows that holding a diversified good value portfolio (based on a  good value strategy) for 13 month’s time, increases the probability of out performance to 70%.  However those who can hold the portfolio for five years gain a 88% probability of beating the bellwether in the market and after ten years the probability increases to 97.5%.

Time is your friend when you use a good value strategy.  The longer you can hold onto a well balanced good value portfolio, the better the odds of outstanding success.

Learn how much leverage to use.  Leverage is like medicine, the key is dose.  The best ratio is normally 1.6 to 1.  We’ll sum up the strategy; how to leverage cheap, safe, quality stocks and for what period of time based on the times and each individual’s circumstances.

Learn to plan in a way so you never run out of money.  The seminar also has a session on the importance of having and sticking to a plan.  See how success is dependent on conviction, wherewithal, and skill to operate with leverage and significant risk.  Learn a three point strategy based on my 50 years of investing experience combined with wisdom gained from some of the world’s best investment managers and economic mathematical scientists.

The online seminar also reveals  the results of a $80,000 share purchase cost test that found the least expensive way to invest in good value.  The keys to this portfolio are good value, low cost, minimal fuss and bother.  Plus a great savings of time.  Trading is minimal, usually not more than one or two shares are bought or sold in a year.  I wanted to find the very least expensive way to create and hold this portfolio so I performed this test.

I have good news about the cost of the seminar as well.   For almost three decades the seminar fee has been $799 for one or $999 for a couple. Tens of thousands paid this price, but online the seminar is $297.

Here is what two readers recently wrote to me about their success from our Ecuador export course:

Thanks for mentioning us in one of your circulars.

“Our business of selling Ecuador products is still going well. We are now appointing Agents across Australia and should have the whole country covered by mid-August. Our initial shops continue to re-order on a regular basis. The best shops seem to re-order every two weeks.

“We have also received inquiry to provide buying services for people in a few other countries. So we will be seriously thinking about starting our own brand name to market globally. If successful, it should help many Ecuadorians.

Multi Currency Statistics

Multi currency statistics are important because of inflation statistics.

Inflation, at times, sneaks up like a cat.

inflation-creeps-like-a-cat

This is Alice, one of our barn cats.

Other times inflation rushes in like a lion…such as…now.

Multi currency investing protects us from inflation.

Here is Boots our other farm cat…not dangerous like a lion or inflation…unless you are  a mouse I guess.

inflation-cat

Inflation is worse than statistics suggest. This is because of the nature of the statistics.

Most mornings, when we are at our Blue Ridge farm,  we take an early hike in the woods.  Our two cats, Boots and Alice, join us with our hound dog, Ma. This seems strange to me. I have never had cats who like to hike along…but these two do.  Our cats and dog get along…unlike wealth and inflation which do not.

Often we stop at the pond. Boots and Alice look for mice. Ma sniffs everything.  I sit and reflect on economics, reality, statistics, multi currency investing and inflation.

It is beautiful here…mists play on the meadows and the shadows are long.

inflation-thinking-time

The shadows remind me of distortions created by statistics.  How numbers hide reality and how this fact and the change it heralds will make some multi currency investors rich.

Most investors will become poorer…because inflation and wealth do not get along.  Inflation hides reality.  Most investors are tricked.  They do not see economic reality  and they do not adapt and make multi currency investments or at least investments that really fight inflation.

According to US government inflation statistics, core prices described as “Core CPI” have risen just 2.3% in the last year.

Yeah…let the statistician that came up with this number go food shopping!

Believe it or not the Core CPI, which is so often used by statisticians to describe  inflation, actually strips out food and energy, because these prices are volatile.

A better guide to real inflation is the “Core Personal Consumption Expenditure Price Index (PCE deflator)”.  This index includes the average increase in prices for all domestic personal consumption. It’s indexed to a base of 100 in 1992 and derived from the largest Gross Domestic Product component, personal consumption expenditures. This includes important costs such as  housing, most insurance, motor vehicles, energy, food and medical expense.

This index rose 2.1% last quarter.

2.1% per quarter inflation is a bit more serious than 2.3% a year.

Yet even this serious rise masks the reality that many of us face because even the PCE deflator includes things we do not buy often…such as computers.

The big costs…that really take a bite, especially for those planning to retire or go on a fixed income are food, energy, medical expenses and insurance.

In the last year medical care costs have jumped 4.4%.  Food is up 5.1%.  Energy has risen 16.1%.

Over the past nine months, global food prices have soared 40%, while food reserves are at 30-year lows. The rising cost of food is becoming a major source of global social instability and economic hardship.

Yet this is just the beginning of inflation problems as we will see in tomorrow’s message.

Until then, good global investing.

Gary

P.S.  Remember.  Problems create opportunity.

Big problems create big opportunity.

Bigger problems create bigger opportunity.

The biggest problems create the biggest opportunity!

This is what I love about capitalism – humanity serving one another- at work.

Take inflation’s push on energy prices, as an example. Higher fuel costs have forced some airlines to charge an extra $15 for checking a suitcase.  That”s quite a problem.

Solutions anyone?

One answer is that some hotels have added a suitcase buyback in their marketing.

Stay with the hotel and they’ll knock the $15 baggage cost off the room bill! Problem solved.  The consumer remains even, and the hotel that adapts prospers.

Those who change, adapt and invest in solutions to problems are those who will profit.

This is why we are examining  seven multi currency shares.

Cotacachi Food

Cotacachi Ecuador food always surprises those who visit Cotacachi for the first time.

Ecuadorians are noted as among the longest lived people on earth. This is, in part, from Andean foods and nutritional habits that began long ago. Since ancient times Andean Yatchaks, Shamans and Curanderos have taught healthy living supported by good nutrition. They based these healthy lifestyles on three ideals; clean food, good food combinations and a correct fat, carbohydrate and protein balance.

One reason Cotacachi food is so good is that it is so fresh!

Cotacachi-food-market

Cotacachi food is really inexpensive too.

Our seafood in Cotacachi is fresh brought right from the coast.

Quinoa Cafe’s core bill of fare is Quinoa, often referred to as the Andean grain, a wonderful food, native to the Andes. Quinoa sustained the ancient Incas and has been grown continuously for over 5,000 years. The plant thrives in poor soil, and the high mountain terrain of South America’s Andes.

Qunioa has been described as the super grain. Actually it is the SEED of a leafy plant that’s related to spinach. What makes quinoa special is that it has a very high protein content, more than any single grain. Plus unlike grain, Quinoa has the amino acid lysine, so the protein is complete. The World Health Organization ranks quinoa protein equivalent to milk. Quinoa offers more iron than grains and contains magnesium, zinc, copper, manganese, potassium, riboflavin, thiamin, B vitamins: B6, niacin, magnesium, zinc, copper. It is also a good source of folate (folic acid).

Quinoa is delicious and can be substituted for almost any other grain.

Here is our chef Santiago serving a quinoa cake…sweet and delicious but protein filled.

We will feature Quinoa and Andean nutrition at the August weekend course at our Blue Ridge farm conducted by our business intuitive, Susan Stanton Rotman. Seven Andean nutritional secrets are shared below.

First let me say more about the course.

The course is entitled, “Escaping the Tryanny of Reason: Intuitive Development for Practical and Business Decision Making” This seminar will introduce you to working with your own intuition to develop greater insight, creativity, and more informed decision-making and problem solving skills, all important elements for greater success.

The course will examine intuition in the business context, the use of intuitive process as a complement to rational decision-making, and the integration of intuitive knowing with analytical thought. Susan will present the basic concepts of intuitive knowing and its development, including how to access your own intuition, and skill building to evaluate, process, trust and apply your information.

She will help you explore the experience of intuition and its forms, including exercises to develop sensitivity and to practice using intuition as a navigational tool.

Merri and I have found that escaping the tyranny of reason helps us greatly when faced with questions that cannot be humanly answered. We have several weapons in our information processing armory. One of the great assets is Susan, a professional business intuitive. She consults with businesses and individuals using both her clairvoyance and other psychic abilities combined with her rational skills to help people and businesses with decision making and navigation. She consults with clients from around the world. Susan does not really like the word psychic (nor do Merri or I) as a lot of the information she comes up with does not just pop out of the air.

She has a strong educational, legal and business background. Susan originally trained as a corporate attorney and mediator.

Susan is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Georgetown University, having received a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service in 1977, cum laude, and graduated from Georgetown University Law Center in 1981.

She practiced corporate law for many years and has extensive experience representing both individual and corporate clients.

She also understands business from the entrepreneurial side—she owned her own retail art-jewelry business and is an expert in pearls

Susan has a broad background in esoteric and metaphysical studies, spirituality, and personal, business, and family development practices.

This course will be conducted Friday, Saturday and Sunday August 15, 16 and 17, 2008 at our Blue Ridge Farm.

All meals and accommodations ARE included and the food will be special.

A lot of stress comes from poor nutrition. Quinoa offers an optional, delicious purifying and the diet you will enjoy at the farm can enhance your rest and boost your energy and heath as well as reduce your weight without any feelings of giving up or not enjoying your food.

The nutritional goals at the course are to provide a delicious menu that improves digestion, reduces weight, increases energy, reduces toxicity in the system and balances the hormonal system so cravings and excessive hunger disappear. This system is based on shamanic nutritional ideals taught to Merri and me, when we with Andean Yatchaks and indigenous communities.

The cornerstones of the Andean nutritional program are:

#1: Eating a balance of fat, carbohydrates and protein.

#2: Eating combinations of food for ideal digestion.

#3: Eating clean organic food prepared and served by happy, joyful people.

#4: Eating in good spirits at the right times.

#5: Chewing in the correct way.

#6: Eating purifying and satisfying meals.

#7: Balancing nutritional with correct sleep and exercise.

Here is what we will review about nutrition during the intuition course.

#1: Eating a balance of fat, carbohydrates and protein.

Our diet keeps protein balance without excessive amounts of meat using quinoa, eggs, cheese and yoghurt instead. A great deal of poor health and stress is tied in to the underlying hormonal disturbance caused by the excess production of insulin. This imbalance normally comes from too much food and incorrect protein, carbohydrate, fat balances in the diet. Every time we eat, hormones in our body will change, either good or bad. Delicious food with a balance of 3 parts carbohydrates, two parts protein and one part fat has the power to orchestrate beneficial hormonal changes in our body.

#2: Eating the correct combinations of food for ideal digestion.

Andean nutritional ideals also focus on combining foods in a way that avoid fermentation in the stomach. Foods and spices are divided into three types neutral, savory and sweet. Neutral can be mixed with savory or sweet, but no savory and sweet foods are mixed. The main neutral foods are grains, cereals, nuts and seeds. Meat and most vegetables are savory. Fruits are sweet. Cereals are ground and soaked to improve their digestibility. Sweet spices include cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, ginger, mint. Savory spices include sale, pepper, chiles, oregano, corriander, bay leaf, cumin, saffron, fennel. No two fats are mixed nor are fruit types.

#3 & 4: Eating clean organic food prepared and served by happy, joyful people and eat in good spirits at the right times. Food should be beautiful as well…like this feta salad served at our last course.

We even make breakfast look good!

Candace Pert, Ph.D., is a neuroscientist who was awarded a Nobel prize for her groundbreaking work that shows the mind is not just in the brain but in the entire body. The mind and body communicate using the chemistry of emotion. Short chains of amino acids called peptides and receptors are found in the brain, stomach, muscles, glands and all major organs. They send messages back and forth linking mind and body. When we are happy our entire body is happy and reverse and this chemistry has a dramatic impact on our food and digestion.

Andean beliefs view the body composed of three elements earth (Pacha mama), fire (Taita Inti) and air Pacha Kuti.

There are times of the day when each of these elements are most active. The digestive fires are highest at 12 noon, so a savory meal is normally eaten at this time.

A sweet breakfast accommodates a more sluggish digestive time and the evening is set aside for a purifying fruit meal so the body can use the midnight fire energy to cleanse rather than digest.

Three herbal teas are served. In the morning cinnamon tea is served. Before lunch ginger tea lights the digestive fires and before sleep chamomile tea enhances a good night’s rest.

Part of good nutrition comes from eating, sleeping and exercising at the correct times.

The yatchaks also suggest we eat only when hungry and the stomach is empty so we recommend eating only every four hours. For cravings between herbal tea is best and juices can be added if it is uncomfortable to wait for the next meal.

#5: Chewing in the correct way.

Correct chewing releases nutrient molecules so energy from food is more quickly released and assimilated. This allows the brain to recognize flavors and release the correct digestive juices for that food. Proper chewing does even more because it stimulates the bodies sphincter (or ring) muscles that surround the various orifices of the body.

Ring muscles include the muscles around the eyes, the nostrils, anus, urethra, genitals and the mouth. In a healthy body, all sphincters work together, contracting and relaxing simultaneously. They also activate the respiratory system, the gastrointestinal system, the circulatory system, the lymphatic system, the musculoskeletal system and the urogenital system. Ring muscles are ultimately responsible for putting all the other muscles and all the organs of the body to work.

Chewing correctly stimulates the ring muscles and consequently helps exercise all our muscles.

#6: Eating Purifying and satisfying meals.

Fruit types also exist and are never mixed. Citrus stands together, but is not mixed with other foods. Watery fruits (apples pears, plums and grapes) can be mixed. Bananas are eaten alone only or with dairy only. Pineapple and melons are also eaten alone.

There are three purifying meals we will learn about during the course. The first most gentle purifier is a water combination of apples and grapes. The second meal is an entire pineapple and the third, an entire watermelon.

Organic coffee, tea and cocoa are great purifiers rich in antioxidants. Coffee and some tea is avoided by those who do not want caffeine. We recommend moderation and serve only organic, fair trade coffee and tea Coffee and tea (without milk) are neutral and can be consumed before or with any meal. I will be bring organic coffee with me from Ecuador for the course.

Finally we provide an Andean cleansing tea made from cinnamon, sweet pepper and chamomile.

#7: Balancing nutritional with exercise and sleep.

Each day you can learn a gentle but profound exercise that will enhance your stress release. We do not have television at the farm and recommend going to bed before the evening fore cycle begins at 10 PM. The farm is totally quiet and dark for more restful sleep.

We are pleased that Susan will be with us. She will present two days of group instruction and workshop plus will provide individual consultations after the seminar concludes (a consultation is included as part of the course). Individual consultations may be in person on August 17 or by telephone at a later date.

Multi Currency Notes – Bank Transfer Risks

Multi currency investing is complicated by bank transfer risks.

Yet we must prevail because bank transfer risks are everywhere as you can see below.

An even bigger risk is inflation and the risk of losing your purchasing power if you do not hold multi currency portfolios.

Last month a multi currency message at this site looked at the growing “need to know” dilemma banks (and hence their clients) are facing.  It is becoming increasingly difficult to transfer money from one bank to another without proving the source.

If you missed that message read it at Multi Currency Banking Problem.

That message was written after I had transferred a down payment to my
attorney to buy some condos on Ecuador’s  beach.

My attorney’s bank refused to release the funds until I proved the source of funds.

My bank in Denmark, who wired the money in the first place, kindly sent an email stating that the funds had come from my pension account.  This did not satisfy the Quito bank.

Finally after more than two weeks, and only after my Ecuador attorney threatened to take legal action, were the funds finally paid.

“What is going on?”, I asked.

After checking around it has become evident that the first problem is that governments worldwide have decided they must know more about the flow of money to help them prevent terrorism.

The second problem is that these governments have placed the burden of this tracking on banks.

The third problem is that no one has made it clear how banks should do this.

The fourth problem is that every bank has then decided its own way of doing this and not trained their staff well.

The fifth problem is that this hodge podge of commercial regulation has created enormous confusion.  For example, one Canadian banker stated that nothing had changed. He could not understand why funds were being delayed.  Another Canadian banker told me that Latin America was on a prohibited list and funds could not be wired to Ecuador.

Probably what this means is that one Canadian bank wires money to Latin America all the time.  Another may have had a problem and will not.

This appears to be a “catch as catch can” situation and whether your money flows easily depends on what combination of banks you have chosen and which employees within those banks handle your transaction.

Delays add freezing of funds and can take place for international or even local transactions for a variety of reasons.

For example, one reader sent this note after the last message about this problem:

“How frustratingly typical!  I opened a basic stock trading account with an
online broker as I wasn’t 100% happy with my existing one. Today two days later they put a block on my new account, and sent me an email about there being a ‘negative public record’ on me.

“It turns out that some other dude with the same name as me, nine years ago, was indicted on charges of laundering money and other wild and roguish things.

“Now let’s remember that the word ‘indicted’ doesn’t actually mean ‘convicted’- just formally charged.  It appears that even being indicted (ACCUSED) of something is enough for this provision to kick-in.

“Let’s be clear here that this is just someone with the same name as me who nine years back in the same state was CHARGED with something. I say ‘same state’ although I did not even visit this state where I live now until three years after the indictment.

“It took me weeks to regain access to my account. Lucky my name wasn’t James Smith which is the most common combination of first and last names in the USA”

HOW TO SAFEGUARD YOUR TRANSFERS

Since having my problem in Ecuador, my attorney there wrote the following:

“I just talked to my bank officer.  When the amount is higher than $50,000 it is necessary to justify the origin of the funds.  To do this the bank requires an official letter from your bank stating that the amount you are wiring has been deducted from your account.  You can scan this letter and email it to me.

“A second option is to just email me a scanned copy of your account report where it is shown that the amount has been wired from this account.  Of course,  I feel this is an invasion to your privacy, so I suggest to go for the first option.

“Another way to do it is to transfer the money in separate wires (different dates as well) of lower amounts than $50,000.”

So here is what I am doing.  When I am about to make a transfer, first if it is reasonable send less than $50,000. For example right now I am making a
$76,000 condo payment.

I first informed my sending banker what the wire is for.  I outlined the entire transaction and why I am sending the way I am.

Clear communication in advance is my plan.

Second, I informed my attorney and asked her to contact her banker and let him know everything in advance and make sure this is all okay…to ask if he wants anything else in advance.

When I received the okay reply, I wired $35,000. Once my attorney has confirmed receipt of these funds, I’ll wire the next $36,000.

I’ll let you know how this goes.

Until then, let me read your horror stories on transferring funds.  Better still let me know your solutions.

Make Better Decisions

We are also pleased to announce that we will host a weekend workshop
conducted by our business intuitive, Susan Stanton Rotman.
Susan-Stanton-Rotman

The course is entitled,  “Escaping the Tryanny of Reason: Intuitive Development for Practical and Business Decision Making”

This seminar will introduce you to working with your own intuition to develop greater insight, creativity, and more informed decision-making and problem solving skills, all important elements for greater success. We will examine intuition in the business context, the use of intuitive process as a complement to rational decision-making, and the integration of intuitive knowing with analytical thought.

Merri and I have several weapons in our information processing armory.

She also understands business from the entrepreneurial side—she owned her own retail art-jewelry business and is an expert in pearls.

Susan has a broad background in esoteric and metaphysical studies, spirituality, and personal, business, and family development practices.

This course will be conducted Friday, Saturday and Sunday  August 15, 16 and 17 2008 at our Blue Ridge Farm.  All meals and accommodations ARE included.

We are pleased that Susan will be with us. She will present two days of group instruction and workshop plus will provide individual consultations after the seminar concludes (a consultation is included as part of the course).  Individual consultations may be in person on August 17 or by telephone at a later date.
