Common Sense Health Tip

This is a big weekend for Americans.  Have fun but don’t forget that holidays have stressors that can lead to health problems.  4th of July fireworks creates a unique health hazard beyond the risk of explosions and fire.  There is also danger in firework’s pollution.

fireworks

Fireworks are beautiful but dangerous.

A study at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration suggests that Fourth of July fireworks create particulates linked to health effects like coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, asthma attacks and even heart attack and stroke. It could cause early death in people with heart or lung disease.

So here are tips about what to watch for with strokes and if you see signs, what to do.

A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke…totally.  He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.

RECOGNIZING A STROKE

Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple STRS   questions:

S.  Ask the individual to SMILE.

T.  Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently) such as Chicken Soup.

R.  Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.

S.  Ask him of her to STICK OUT THEIR TONGUE.

If the tongue is ‘crooked’, if it goes to one side or the other that is also an indication of a stroke.

Have a happy 4th of July holiday, but be careful with fireworks and perhaps stay away from the fumes.

Secrets of Health & Longevity

A midnight breeze kisses hemlock and pine in the deep embrace of an amber moon.  Dark clouds race and churn the lunar cream over the path I tread towards a cemetery just ahead.

cemetary

Family cemetery at our Blue Ridge Farm.

For over 50 years, my wife and I traveled the world writing articles for publications like Truth and Plenty and Independence Monthly.  We lived in Asia, Europe and South America as well as Smalltown USA.

During that time we lived and studied with the shamans of Ecuador to understand the longevity found in some areas that seemed otherwise poor.  For example, Dr. Alexander Leaf, a famous medical researcher from Harvard Medical School studied longevity in numerous mountainous areas on behalf of National Geographic Magazine.  This research looked at the people of Abkhasia in the Caucasus mountains south of Russia, those who lived in Vilcabamba in the Andes of South America and the Hunza, a mountainous valley in Pakistan.

These valleys had far less medical care and far fewer hospitals than most of us enjoy in the modern world, but the research showed that a much larger percentage of those populations lived 100 years and beyond, vital, active and in good health.

We found health secrets here in the Blue Ridge Mountains as well and have gained enormously by integrating the ancient health wisdom of each into our lives.

Standing in a cemetery at night may not seem the norm, but there is a healthy reason for some of us to stroll in the moonlight a night.  More on this in a moment, but first let me share another reason why I visit this cemetery to reflect on longevity and health.

There is a person in this cemetery that I admire.  Ida is her name and secrets she shares are the core of good health, energy and long life.  These are secrets for weight loss, stress reduction and longevity.  Ida has proven this fact by living to be 115!

These mountain cemeteries are dotted throughout the Blue Ridge, part and parcel of life up here in the High Country.  Several of her relatives lay at rest in this burial ground…all located on our Blue Ridge farm.

When I find myself forgetting what good health really is, I come here and think about Ida’s tales.   John is resting here.  He passed at age 91 and his wife, Jill, aged 95.  Two more of the same family name, but an era earlier, were aged 86 and 100 at death.

And then there is Ida, her message is strongest because she passed at 115.  The headstone says she was born in 1794 and left this world in 1909.  Imagine what she saw living during three centuries!

The secrets from their headstones are clear.  First, some places are healthier than others.   Second, lifestyle affects longevity more than quadruple bypasses, pacemakers, chemo, radiation, modern medicine and drugs.  These people were dirt poor mountain farmers and did not have health insurance, hospitals or regular checkups.  Some may have never seen a doctor.  Third, a simple, natural life is filled with good health, energy, relaxation and strength.

Clean air, pure water and fresh food are important medicines!  These hardy mountain people worked hard and kept life simple.  Longevity was their reward.  Modern medicine does many wonderful things to manage illness.  But the imbalanced Western way of life does not do much that encourages wellness.

I share longevity secrets gained from those five decades of travel in my reports on how to have natural health.  What good is it to make a ton of money if you cannot enjoy it because of poor health?

Merri and I have searched out health secrets during our global journeys, because medical expenses are the biggest threat to our wealth.   These secrets are gleaned and distilled from months and years spent with Vaidyas and Pundits of India, Sufi masters, Chinese herbalists, Tibetan Monks and Andean Yatchaks, who specialize in one aspect of longevity and rejuvenation or another.  The secrets also come from a continuing research about people who are active but aged over 100.

We have put the secrets we have learned in three reports on how to have natural health.

You do not have to be a Monk or even very disciplined to benefit from these secrets as they have been refined to work for modern people with modern lifestyles.

The reports do not aim to cure any specific ill but look at how to build stamina, vitality, energy and endurance so the body is better able to care for itself.   We share ideas we have learned and used to renew, rebuild and rejuvenate.

Here are a few of the longevity secrets in the reports.

Secret #1: Restrict your diet.  This first secret hardly seems hidden at all.  This is a simple, universally ignored reality.  Cut your caloric intake.  This is one of the few, the only scientifically proven factor that increases longevity.

Most of us cannot simply stop eating.  Hunger is too powerful a force!  We all need to learn how to change eating habits so we have plenty of beautiful food to eat, but less calories.  When we make the change we can eat more but still lost weight and reduced inches.

Don’t think this means you’ll be eating celery, lettuce, cardboard tasting crisp bread and such either.  Part of wellness is enjoying your food!  Learn to eat more effectively and discover good tasting, balanced, low calorie food.  Find out how to prepare this food so it’s more nourishing and filling and finally how to prepare it with herbs and spices that modulate blood sugar levels so hunger fades away.  There are many small, simple yet effective secrets that can make us crave good foods instead of bad.

An example is reducing calories with spice coordination.  When ginger, cinnamon and cloves are taken in correct amounts, at the right time, these spices crank your metabolism as they calm your appetite.  This is just one of numerous, simple health tricks.

The correct mix of protein, carbohydrates and fats for energy and weight loss is another example.   There are many easy-to-buy-at-the-supermarket foods.  For example, you can enjoy a breakfast of protein balanced pancakes with organic panella-canela syrup.  Every ingredient is inexpensive, easily obtainable yet this delicious sweet meal fills as it turns up the calorie burning process.

Eating secrets include seven easy ways to identify your body type so you can customize a diet and know when and what to eat in the right way.

Let me make one other point clear about food.  There are a lot of diets today that claim to be the one and only best way to lose weight.  Maybe they work or not.  Even those that do work may be inconvenient or expensive and do not work for everyone!  The nutritional plans in the reports are derived from diets created by mystic healers in many distant lands. The entire program has been modified for today’s lifestyles and tastes.  Practically all the food you learn about can be easily obtained.  Preparation, mixing, timing and method of eating are as important as the quality and type of food!

Unlock the Mystery of Key Muscles

Another nutritional trick unveiled has nothing to do with what we eat.  The trick is to energize and coordinate the digestive system by exercising a set of key muscles as we eat.  The body has a number of key muscles that regulate breathing, digestion, circulation, elimination and muscular motion.  During our wellness sessions we review how to energize these muscles which in turn coordinate every other muscle and organ in the body.  Eating in this way for example (most of the modern world does not) energizes just one key muscle that regulates part of our ability to burn sugars and fat.

Secret #2: have more than a routine.  Create ritual!  Those who live extra-ordinarily long lives seem to share this common trait.  Whatever they do, they do in moderation, in a very similar way and with great gusto.  For example, if they drink an ounce of whisky every day, at six o clock, they do not do this at five some days and eight others.  They do not have a half ounce one day and two another.  They tend to have one ounce at six p.m. every day.  This instills discipline, keeps life simple (very important) and allows the body to get used to doing whatever it is it has to do.  Take Chris Mortensen one of the oldest documented men in the 1990s who at 113 said of his weekly cigar, “If you take my weekly cigar away from me, I am going to die”.  The anticipation and ritual of whatever pleasure he receives from this is far more life-giving than the stress.  The world’s oldest documented woman in the 1990s, Jeanne Clement, at age 122 drank cognac and ate a pound of chocolate a week (but never two pounds).

Secret #3: remain independent, challenged, active and needed.  One of the most important features found in isolated Ecuadorian valleys where people live long lives is that old age was revered.  Often people at age 100, even 110 are still active and working!  Max Zimmer of Los Angeles came to the US from Austria in 1911 with only a two dollar bill.  At age 103 he still had the same two-dollar bill and had built and still ran a multimillion-dollar business.

One medical doctor, who specializes in anti-aging, points out that most centenarians seldom spend much time with doctors.  When they finally get sick, they die quickly and with little expense.  They depend on themselves to remain healthy, not others.

Part of the report focuses on how to have financial balance in investing and business so you can remain independent.

The report looks at oxygenation, coordination, purification, energy boosting, education, occupation and relaxation.

Oxygenation-Coordination:  Learn how to gain extra oxygen with the Llama Walk.

Purification: We look at Andean purification herbs and purifying teas.

Energy Boosting: Eating balanced, correctly prepared organic food and drinking herbal teas designed for body type and body imbalances.

Occupation: Physical labor, suited to your body type and condition range from gardening and animal care to path building and clearing the woods.

I want to thank you for the wonderful time. I travailed from California to hear you convey your knowledge in the way you do so well, and I wasn’t disappointed.  The amount of information in the sessions was almost overwhelming, but it’s exactly what I went to hear.” – B.R. California

The technical information I gathered was most not new to me, but I like to compliment you for putting it all in the right perspective and to make it very understandable to all.  What was at our opinion one of the most important gaining of these 3 days is the opening of the new world, this new circle of what you call ‘normal’ people! People who, among other things, are active and productive and creative and resourceful, whose word can be counted upon; People who realize that spirituality DOES NOT mean sitting in a cave contemplating your navel and weaving baskets, nor does it equate in the Western culture with living in abject poverty.  People who realize that abundance is not a dirty word. People who understand that we are here to ENGAGE life, not to submit to circumstances out of fear and ignorance and apathy; People who don’t just use the most current ‘buzz words’ so they can feel like they are part of the group, but who actually DO something… Builders. Thank you for showing up in my life.” – E.W. Nevada

Good health is the most important asset in stressful times.  Beyond the fact that modern health intervention (ie. hospital) can destroy one’s finances, being in good health brings the energy and balance required to make sound investing and business decisions.

There are many ways to improve health naturally.

universal-frequency

Watching the sun rise promotes good natural health for example.  Our use of color and observing the correct colors (frequencies) at the correct time are important.

We have been incorporating the ideas of how natural health promotes everlasting wealth into our courses and seminars for decades and this report covers them all.

Here are 11 main points covered in the reports.

#1: Quantum mechanics, frequency, health &  wealth.  How they all connect.

#2: Three aspects of being – air – fire – water… how to balance and integrate them.  How a moonlight stroll reduces the risks of excessive adrenaline.

#3: Three ways to integrate brain waves and be in the zone… 60 cycle sound… L- theanine and meditation.

#4: The Andean – Indian Connection.  How Ayurved and Andean relate.  Three fundamentals of longevity. Eat right, work well and sleep soundly.

#5: How dis-ease develops and is stopped with nutrition, exercise and purpose.

#6: How to use cleansings. Melon, pineapple, apples-grapes, vareshna, chelating, cinnamon-sweet pepper tea, steam and mists.  Teas: How and when to use cedron, chamomile, lemon verbena, peppermint.

#7: Ways to relax.  How to use chamomile, valerian, lettuce and milk, hot water, vata press. Ways to calm down. How to use peppermint tea, aloe, cream massage, frozen grapes.  Ways to wake up. How to use cinnamon tea, paprika, cloves, ginger, ginger-black salt and lemon juice.

#8: How to use, colors and sound to stimulate organs and glands.

#9: EZ Shamanic exercises-yoga, llama walk, lizard, sun salute, crab and mouth release, ring chew, etc.

#10: How to use the senses, taste, six flavors.

#11: How to use essential oils to balance wellness.

I want to share these secrets of health and longevity with readers and offer a special report on the almost unknown health booster, the hogberry.

Gain Huge Health Benefits from the Amazing Hogberry

More than 100 studies have found that physical activity can lower cancer risk and even help cure cancer.  Fortunately researchers asked why and one answer became clear…Body Fat.

Studies showed that those who were most active have a 25% lower chance of developing cancer because reduced body fat is a possible pathway to lowering cancer risk.  Time Magazine has some good information on the relationship between exercise and reducing cancer.  Have a look below if you want to research more deeply (1).

intermittent fastng

Graph showing benefits of intermittent fasting.

Fortunately, there is a little known way to reduce body fat that does not even require exercise.  I’ll share more on this secret in a moment.

First, body fat and cancer?  Let’s ask why?

Part of the answer is toxicity.

Healthy bodies naturally and regularly remove water-soluble toxins from the body.  The blood and kidneys flush them away.

Fat-soluble toxins such as metals, pesticides, preservatives, and other pollutants are harder to flush out of the system.  Fat-soluble toxins must become water-soluble before the body can get rid of them.  The liver can do this conversion (bile emulsifies fat-soluble toxins into water-soluble).  This process requires healthy digestive and detox pathways.  When they become imbalanced, fat-soluble toxins are stored in fat cells and brain cells instead.   These toxins can remain for decades and create health problems.

The fat stored toxins cause oxidation (free radical damage) and degeneration as well as mutation.  Toxins in the fatty tissue of the brain become nuerotoxins that can cause cognitive problems and a host of mental and brain imbalances.

The way to avoid this storage of deadly toxicity is to keep stress down, while digestion and detoxification pathways remain good.

Burn Fat to Burn Toxins

When you burn fat not primarily for weight loss, (though you will lose weight) but for purification, you can turn on the body’s detox fuel.  Fat metabolism is the body’s natural form of energy.  Fat metabolism provides a more steady energy than glucose metabolism and flushes fat cells free of toxins.  As the toxicity drops, the nervous system has reduced stress and will naturally burn fat instead of sugar.

Intermittent fasting is one way to get the body to burn fat.  There is a way of eating that helps reduce weight, improve energy and purify the body as it returns to a state of natural health.

This is a simple easy way to improve and restore feeling good, but works best when combined with better nutrition, moderate exercise and a purification program that helps make sure that the body is not overwhelmed with too much purification at once.

This is why I have written a short report entitled “The FAST Way to Better Health” that features one special tea so an intermittent fasting routine becomes doable and enjoyable.

The Key is in the Hogberry

Intermittent fasting is guaranteed to work, if you have even reasonable nutrition, moderate physical activity and stick with it.  The problem is in the sticking.  When the brain is hooked on metabolizing sugar it can be very demanding.   When we try going an extended period without a sugar, the brain will have a hissy fit and demand that we eat or drink something sweet or starchy or alcoholic.

Sticking through a fast just does not work when the brain pulls out its bag of tricks, from sweet whispers (just one chocolate won’t hurt- but it will!)  all the way to chills sweats and dizziness.   Intermittent fasting, without help, can require enormous discipline that most of us cannot maintain long enough.

I know, I tried intermittent fasting several times and failed.  Then I accidentally stumbled across the Secret of the Hogberry that not only stops hunger but more importantly speeds up the process of switching from sugar metabolism to fat metabolism AND assists in the purifying process.  Once I tried using this support for the pancreas (among other things),  intermittent fasting became satisfying and enjoyable.  I am passing 45 days in this routine, and the steady energy just gets better and better.  I am not minding the reduced weight and better fitting clothing either!

“The FAST Way to Better Health” explains how intermittent fasting is not real fasting.  One does not stop eating with an intermittent fast, not even for a day.  You learn why this is such a healthy way to lose weight and detoxify fat cells to reduce risks of cancer, heart disease diabetes and senility.

More important you learn how to feel better almost from the very first day.  Reduce stress, gain smooth steady energy without 10:30 am and 3:00 pm  droops. Find out how to avoid being hungry right after you eat and how to make the cravings for sweets and junk food all but disappear.

I will send you this report “The FAST Way to Better Health” that reveals the secret of the Hogberry, FREE when you order my Shamanic Natural Health reports described below.

Baseball Rags & Riches on the 4th of July

Baseball and freedom seem like appropriate subjects to reflect upon during the 4th of July… a day when Americans celebrate freedom.

gary-scott-baseball-images

Grand Slam Kid by Duane Decker Copyright 1964

Yesterday’s message looked at a way to kick start brainstorming sessions using a special form of bibliography (reading therapy) with books we read as children.

As I was rereading the old baseball books I read in my youth, I also happened to read the best selling children’s books in the Hunger Game Trilogy.

Comparing these books, the new and the 50 year old, can help us have more freedom.

First, let’s note the difference and the similarities between Duane Decker Baseball books and the Hunger Games.

Both are about sympathetic characters striving for worthwhile goals.  They are both about sports… games.

Decker’s books were about players for the mythical Blue Sox, and each of the main characters had to overcome a major hurdle.  The lessons were about perseverance, dedication and giving all you have in your selected profession.  The worthwhile goal is about overcoming personal faults and making the correct choices to be part of the best team in the world… being good enough to play in the World Series.

In the Decker books, the society (the team and its leaders) are tough but good.    The main character is bad (has personal problems) and must grow.

The Hunger Games are about children being forced to kill other children in Gladiatorial  type games… kids pitted one against the other… the world looking on…. the government throwing in extra dilemmas that killed many of the participants.  The Hunger Games is about the World Series of Death.   The worthwhile goal is to beat the government.

In the Hunger Games the individual is good…. the society (the government and the ruling class) are bad.   The main characters must destroy the bad government.

We could say that the feelings that the world (the Hunger Games is selling well globally) has about freedom have changed!

One message in both series of books is clear… the world changes and we must adapt.

One way to deal with the change is resist it.  The other way to to move and the third way is to take advantage of added restrictions.

Our reports over the past 44 years and this website over the past 16 years has shared the theme… be global so you can enjoy the largest of all playing fields.  Be global because the sun always shines somewhere.

On this Fourth of July 2012 it seems quite fitting that Americans are both interested in reforming the order of government and moving further afield.  These two activities have been American traits since this great nation began.

After the Revolutionary War was through, ossification of opportunity in the Eastern colonies began.

This spirit of  Americans moving to “where the action is” was epitomized in Horace Greeley’s famous quote, “Go west, young man.”

Willingness to keep moving for progress has always been the American way.  In less mobile times, this mobility worked from state to state.  Now it moves from nation to nation.

Why shouldn’t Americans be global?  America is a nation of people from around the world.  When  I was in school we never thought about it but there I was Scot-Irish and a bit of American Indian thrown in.  My friend, Steve Coiteaux, was almost surely from a French background, Larry Gubertino-Italian, Kraid Goebel- German, Shirley Lopez-Puerto Rican and Terry Smith-English.

America is a concept that came from around the world and has always rebelled at restriction and has always moved on to places where there is more freedom.

At a time when US earning potential may seem diminished, it should be no surprise that Americans are on the move finding opportunities all over the world.

I am happy to report, that freedom in America is not dead.   America’s independence, in my opinion, has improved and evolved because these concepts of freedom that have helped this society evolve have also create the ideals of Yankee ingenuity.  Americans through thick and thin have used technology to enhance a business mobility and attitude that often gives America a leading business edge.

One way to see this is that freedom lured hundreds of millions into the USA… taught them freedom and the concepts of hard work and now is spreading them around the globe.

When you blend modern technology and Yankee ingenuity, you can open a world of opportunity.

For example, there is special opportunity in writing and publishing at this time due to ebooks.

Some writers have incredible rags to riches stories earning fortunes and gaining much much more.  The author of the Hunger Games is an example.  No matter how we feel about the nature of these best selling books, we need to know of them as they are indicators of the national psyche.

hunger-games-images tags:

According to the celebrity Net Worth website Suzanne Collins, the daughter of a military officer, had built a net worth of $12 million as a TV screenwriter and a novelist.  That’s not bad but the Hunger Games trilogy changed all that if a March Yahoo TV article is accurate as it states she would earn $10 million alone in 2012.  That’s pretty good!

In addition due to The Hunger Games books, Collins was named one of Time magazine’s most influential people of 2010 and in March 2012, Amazon announced that Collins had become the best-selling Kindle author of all time.

The internet had made this possible.

Internet based export businesses are another way that we can develop international income potential from anywhere..

Ecuador, where so many of our readers now live full or part time, is an example.

Why should American earning mobility be limited to just the borders of the USA?

The original concept of  the United States was that we lived in the land of the free and could move to whatever state that offered the best opportunity.  With modern technology, why not spread this mobility beyond the oceans and Canadian and Mexican borders?

Big businesses in America have certainly not limited their efforts within American borders.  Almost every major US corporation, manufactures or outsources work globally.  American corporations go where opportunity is best.

Now small businesses can use the internet to be global as well.

I see many Americans finding good earning potential in Ecuador.  I expect this is taking place around the world.

The real factors that make Americans free… willingness to work… trying new innovations… crossing social and cultural lines… taking risk and trying new things works anywhere.  All of these are a state of mind and attitude… not a place… or a date.

This is the American way… serve… work harder… be better… do more for others. This works… an attitude that gives anyone, anywhere, who uses it an edge.

This is why one finds American  entrepreneurs thriving in Ecuador and anywhere and everywhere in the world.  Americans and the American spirit are global… successful… and free.

Today let’s celebrate more than just a day of  declaration of freedom.  Let’s rejoice in a universal truth that freedom is something within us all.  Freedom is not a condition but an energy available to any and everyone with desire and willingness to work and serve wherever the opportunity opens.   That’s the spirit of the American way.

Merri and I send our best wishes that each and every reader will always be free!

Quantum Wealth & Independence

This is the official holiday for the 4th of July so here is a thought about independence and freedom.

Technology has robbed the world of a lot freedom… just as it has added great freedom in other ways.

HK-waterfront

Technology allowed me to live in Hong Kong in the 1970s.

Technology has brought us the freedom to see the world in an instant… to speak to the world in an instant… to message the world in an instant… to travel the world… to buy and sell with those who offer the best deal… plus ever so much more.

Yet the same technology has allowed governments everywhere to restrict privacy and in many instances lifestyle.

For example… US legislation has slowly created such a burden on overseas banks that to serve US citizens most overseas banks will no longer accept Americans as customers.

london-house

Technology allowed me to live in London and …

Manx-waterfront

work in the Isle of Man in the 19080s.

Our newsletters and later this website have warned about this problem for nearly 4o years as we have observed the gradual erosion of American access to global banking.

The first clues of our restricted freedom came clear back in the early 1980s when overseas mutual funds started dropping American investors. I saw the results of this myself. The 2nd book  I wrote about global investing “Three Confidential Reports About Making Money Abroad”  recommended several overseas mutual funds including Action Suisse (A Swiss fund that invested in Swiss shares) and Deutscher Investment-Trust (a German fund investing in German shares). These were great funds for that time as the Swiss franc, German mark and these stock markets were exploding.

I invested in these funds and was making triple digit returns when my Swiss banker at that time, Credit Suisse wrote and said…”Sorry we have to sell these funds for you because you are an American.  Thank you very much.”

Since that time Swiss bankers and banks globally have been fighting a rear guard action against more and more legislation that does not make it illegal for Americas to bank overseas…. just financially impractical.   The cost of complying with all the legislation is so high that overseas banks can’t charge enough.

The beginning of the end came in in 1996, when the USA concluded a new double taxation agreement with Switzerland, which, among other things, regulated the conditions for administrative assistance in matters of taxation. Switzerland agreed to provide assistance with regard to “tax fraud and the like”.

“And the like.”  Three infamous words.

This extension of the concept of “tax fraud”  was like a ticking time bomb. US  authorities simply had to wait for some bank and in this case it was UBS to act in a way so the US authorities could expand their control over non US banks.   Thus banking secrecy was well and truly dead not in 2009, but already in 1996.

UBS activity allowed the US government to pile so much additional paperwork on overseas banks that other banks in other countries began closing down American accounts as well.

A Daily Telegraph article “Lloyds Bank hit by Obama tax purge”  shows what happened to Americans (even those who had lived in England for decades) says:  Lloyds Banking Group is ditching American customers based in Britain pending a crackdown on international tax evasion planned by President Barack Obama.

This week American private client account-holders at Lloyds’s received letters informing them of an “important change in policy regarding clients who are resident, domiciled or linked to the United States by property or asset holdings”. They were told the bank had “no choice” but to “cease acting as your investment manager.  One letter sent to Bank of Scotland’s portfolio management division, which is now part of Lloyds, said: “The USA has a mature regulatory environment governed by its Securities and Exchange Commission. These regulations mean that we are not licensed to manage portfolios for US clients”.

The letter added: “Unfortunately we cannot offer an equivalent service from within Lloyds Banking Group.” Clients have been advised to transfer their assets.

One recipient, who has lived in the UK for over 25 years, said: “After all this time, I’ve suddenly been told I must take my money elsewhere and I don’t understand why. Now I’m scared that other banks won’t take me on either.”

There you have it.   Americans are totally free to bank abroad… yet many cannot because the cost of compliance is so high. This is true in many other fields.    There are some great natural health products available that aren’t offered because of the high cost of  FDA approval. The list could go on.

This is not a unique American phenomenon by the way. European food supplements are even more restricted than in the US.

What can we do to maintain  freedom?

Freedom is an attitude and lifestyle we choose… not something legislated so we can use technology to help us be free as citizens of the world which I recommended in my first book (written in the 1970s) “Passport to International Profit”.

Here is an excerpt from that book.

Don’t be a Shooting Duck

This is the first story in the second chapter of a book, Passport to Profit, I wrote in 1979. Does this now apply to you?

Having a Harbor

Doesn’t everyone dream of having some safe harbor for the ultimate escape? A completely dependable last line of defense, so that when everything else falls to pieces, one can drop back inside this cozy little shelter and enjoy a safe snug comfortable life. Certainly it is sensible to have one. In fact, to my way of thinking, anyone who doesn’t have quite a few safe harbors is not only playing a dangerous game he doesn’t have to play, he is missing one of the greatest contentment’s of life..confidence.

Duck in the Pond Theory

We would all have our own little partnership with our own little pond if we were ducks. The pond gives us water, food, shelter and peace. We, in turn, give it ducks. For what is a pond without ducks? We clean it, eat up unnecessary plants and in general keep everything in tiptop condition. However, every once in a while the hunters arrive. Very quickly the rules of the partnership change. You see, the pond as your partner has a limited range of powers. Whether it likes it or not, a new partnership is about to be imposed upon the pond. It will be forced to join in a hunter/pond partnership and part of the rules of that relationship is that the hunters can shoot at the ducks on the pond. This not only throws you, the duck, into an unrequested, unwanted hunter/hunted partnership but threatens to terminate quickly your duck/pond partnership.

It’s possible if you are not careful that you will become a diner/dinner partner on the wrong end of the fork. Logic dictates what to do in a situation like this. Since your pond partner is no longer dependable because the rules are about to be changed, you should take the initiative. Rule #1 of the Duck in the Pond Theory is in fact “Don’t be a sitting duck when the shooting starts”, so you’ve go to decide what to do.

All too often in real life, people get too upset with change to use logic. Their first reaction instead is dismay. They sit there wallowing in disappointment, shock and anger because their pond has let them down. Or even worse, they sit there looking at the gun barrels and choose to blind themselves to the reality of the situation, saying this is some sort of joke or the hunters are really looking for rabbits or the pond won’t let this happen.

Rule #2 in this theory is “be realistic”. If you don’t accept partnerships change daily or ignore the limitations of your partner; you are not capable of deciding when to run for your harbor. You’ll lie to yourself and probably to your partner. This gums up the whole works. You’ll mess up a fairly clean machine by adding unwanted, useless nuts and bolts which do nothing but clog everything up.

The human mind/body partnership has an almost unlimited capacity to ignore its eyeballs, to adjust reality to match its desires. This inbred flaw causes humans to ignore reality and expect the world to revolve around them. Being realistic is accepting that no person, thing or partnership is indispensable or permanent. Realism is recognizing change and accepting it when no one is able to stop it.
If, by being realistic, you recognize that as much as you love your pond and as much as the gun barrels look harmless, that the shooting is not far away, you must act. You must get off the pond. Where do you go?

Rule #3 of the theory is to be sure you have another pond to go to. I call it having a positive pond factor. The more places you have to go, the more positive your pond factor.

How We Can Serve You

How to Have Real Safety

garyheadshot

There are only three reasons why we should invest.  We invest for income.  We invest to resell our investments for more than we had invested.  We invest to make our world a better place.

We should not invest for fun, excitement or to get rich quick, or in a panic due to market corrections.

This is why the core Pi model portfolio (that forms the bulk of my own equity portfolio) consists of 19 shares and this position has not changed in over two years.  During these two years we have been steadily accumulating the same 19 shares and have not traded once.

The portfolio has done well in 2017, up 22.6%, better than the DJI Index.

motif

However one or even two year’s performance is not enough data to create a safe strategy.

The good value portfolio above is based entirely on good value financial information and mathematically based safety programs developed around models that date back 91 and 24 years.

The Pifolio is a theoretical portfolio of MSCI Country Benchmark Index ETFs that cover all the good value markets developed combining my 50 years of investing experience with study of the mathematical market value analysis of Keppler Asset Management and the mathematical trend analysis of Tradestops.com.

In my opinion, Keppler is one of the best market statisticians in the world.  Numerous very large fund managers, such as State Street Global Advisers, use his analysis to manage over $2.5 billion of funds.

The Pifolio analysis begins with Keppler who continually researches international major stock markets and compares their value based on current book to price, cash flow to price, earnings to price, average dividend yield, return on equity and cash flow return.  He compares each major stock market’s history.

Fwd: keppler

Michael Kepler CEO Keppler Asset Management.

Michael is a brilliant mathematician.  We have tracked his analysis for over 20 years.   He continually researches international major stock markets and compares their value based on current book to price, cash flow to price, earnings to price, average dividend yield, return on equity and cash flow return.  He compares each stock market’s history.  From this, he develops his Good Value Stock Market Strategy and rates each market as a Buy, Neutral or Sell market.  His analysis is rational, mathematical and does not cause worry about short term ups and downs.  Keppler’s strategy is to diversify into an equally weighted portfolio of the MSCI Indices of each BUY market.

This is an easy, simple and effective approach to zeroing in on value because little time, management and guesswork is required.  You are investing in a diversified portfolio of good value indices.

A BUY rating for an index does NOT imply that any stock in that country is an attractive investment, so you do not have to spend hours of research aimed at picking specific shares.  It is not appropriate or enough to instruct a stockbroker to simply select stocks in the BUY rated countries.  Investing in the index is like investing in all the shares in the index.  You save time because all you have to do is invest in the ETF to gain the profit potential of the entire market.

To achieve this goal of diversification the Pifolio consists of Country Index ETFs.

Country Index ETFs are similar to an index mutual fund but are shares normally traded on a major stock exchange that tracks an index of shares in a specific country.  ETFs do not try to beat the index they represent.  The management is passive and tries to emulate the performance of the index.

A country ETF provides diversification into a basket of equities in the country covered.  The expense ratios for most ETFs are lower than those of the average mutual fund as well so such ETFs provide diversification and cost efficiency.

Here is the Pifolio I personally use.

70% is diversified into Keppler’s good value (BUY rated) developed markets: Australia, Austria, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Norway, Singapore and the United Kingdom.

30% of the Pifolio is invested in Keppler’s good value (BUY rated) emerging markets: Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, the Czech Republic, South Korea, Malaysia and Taiwan.

The Pifolio consists of iShares ETFs that invested in each of the MSCI indicies of the good value BUY markets.

For example, the iShares MSCI Australia (symbol EWA) is a Country Index ETF that tracks the investment results the Morgan Stanley Capital Index MSCI Australia Index which is composed mainly of large cap and small cap stocks traded primarily on the Australian Stock Exchange mainly of companies in consumer staples, financials and materials. This ETF is non-diversified outside of Australia.

iShares is owned by Black Rock, Inc. the world’s largest asset manager with over $4 trillion in assets under management.

Pi uses math to reveal the best value markets then protects its positions using more math created by Richard Smith founder and CEO of Tradestops.com to track each share’s trend.

We use Smith’s  algorithms that calculate momentum of the good value markets.

dr richard smith

The Stock State Indicators at Tradestops.com act as a full life-cycle measure that indicates the health of each stock. They are designed to tell you at a glance exactly where any stock stands relative to Dr. Smith’s proprietary algorithms.

Kepppler’s analysis shows the value of markets.  The SSI signal indicates the current trend of each stock (performing well, or in a period of correction, or stopped out).

The SSI tells you one of five things:

Screen Shot 2017-08-08 at 6.51.59 AM

Screen Shot 2017-08-08 at 6.52.12 AM

Screen Shot 2017-08-08 at 6.52.22 AM

Akey component of the Stock State Indicator (SSI) system is momentum based on the latest 521 days of trading.  A stock changes from red to green in the SSI system only after it has already gone up a healthy amount and has started a solid uptrend.

How SSI Alerts Are Triggered

If the position has already moved more than its Volatility Quotient below a recent high, the SSI Stop Loss will trigger.  This is an indicator that the position has corrected more than what is normal for this stock.  It means to take caution.

Below is an example of how SSIs work.  This example shows the Developed Market Pifolio that we track at Tradestops.com.

tradestops

Equal Weight Good Value Developed Market Pifolio.

At the time this example was copied, all the ETFs in the Developed Market Pifolio (above) currently had a green SSI.

We do not know when the US market will fall.  We only do know that it will.  We also do not know if, when the US market corrects, global markets will follow or rise instead.

The fact that the Pifilios are invested in good value markets reduces long term risk.

Additional protection is added by using trailing stops based on the 521 day momentum of each stock in the Pifolio.

Take for example the graph below from our Tradestops account that shows the iShares MSCI United Kingdom ETF.  This ETF had a green SSI and a Volatility Index (VQ) of 13.26%.  This means the share can move 13.26% before there is a trend shift.

tradestops

iShares MSCI United Kingdom ETF (Symbol EWU)

Pi purchased the share at$31.26 and in this example the share was $34.43 and rising.  Tradestop’s algorithms suggested that if the price drops to $31.69 its momentum would have stopped and it would have shifted into trading sideways.   The stop loss price is currently $29.86.  If EWU continues to rise, both the yellow warning and the stop loss price will rise as well.

When the US stock market bull ends, know one knows for sure how long or how severe the correction will be.

When the bear arrives, what will happen to global and especially good value markets?

No  one knows the answer to this question.

What we do know is that the equally weighted, good value market Pifolios have the greatest potential long term and that math based trailing stops can be used to protect against a secular global stock market correction when it comes.

My fifty years of global investing experience helps take advantage of numerous long term cycles that are part of the universal math that affects all investments.

Included in the basic training is an additional 120 page PDF value analysis of 46 stock markets (23 developed markets and 23 emerging stock markets).  This analysis looks at the price to book, price to earnings, average yield and much more.

You also receive two special reports.

In the 1980s, a remarkable set of two economic circumstances helped anyone who spotted them become remarkably rich.  Some of my readers made enough to retire.  Others picked up 50% currency gains.  Then the cycle ended.  Warren Buffett explained the importance of this ending in a 1999 Fortune magazine interview.  He said:  Let me summarize what I’ve been saying about the stock market: I think it’s very hard to come up with a persuasive case that equities will over the next 17 years perform anything like—anything like—they’ve performed in the past 17!

I did well then, but always thought, “I should have invested more!”  Now those circumstances have come together and I am investing in them again.

The circumstances that created fortunes 30 years ago were an overvalued US market (compared to global markets) and an overvalued US dollar.  The two conditions are in place again!

30 years ago, the US dollar rose along with Wall Street.  Profits came quickly over three years.  Then the dollar dropped like a stone, by 51%  in just two years.  A repeat of this pattern is growing and could create up to 50% extra profit if we start using strong dollars to accumulate good value stock market ETFs in other currencies.

This is the most exciting opportunity I have seen since we started sending our reports on international investing ideas more than three decades ago.  The trends are so clear that I have created a short, but powerful report “Three Currency Patterns for 50% Profits or More.”   This report shows how to earn an extra 50% from currency shifts with even small investments.  I kept the report short and simple, but included links to 153 pages of  Good Value Stock Market research and Asset Allocation Analysis.

The report shows 20 good value investments and a really powerful tactic that shows the most effective and least expensive way to accumulate these bargains in large or even very small amounts (less than $5,000).  There is extra profit potential of at least 50% so the report is worth a lot.

This report sells for $29.95 but in this special offer, you receive the report, “Three Currency Patterns for 50% Profits or More” FREE when you subscribe to Pi.

Plus get the $39.95 report “The Platinum Dip 2018” free.

With investors watching global stock markets bounce up and down, many missed two really important profit generating events over the last two years.  The price of silver dipped below $14 an ounce as did shares of the iShares Silver ETF (SLV).   The second event is that the silver gold ratio hit 80, compared to a ratio of 230 only two years before.

In September 2015, I prepared a special report “Silver Dip 2015” about a silver speculation, leveraged with a British pound loan, that could increase the returns in a safe portfolio by as much as eight times.  The tactics described in that report generated 62.48% profit in just nine months.

I have updated this report and added how to use the Dip Strategy with platinum.   The “Platinum Dip 2018” report shares the latest in a series of long term lessons gained through 40 years of speculating and investing in precious metals.  I released the 2015 report, when the gold silver ratio slipped to 80.  The ratio has corrected and that profit has been taken and now a new precious metals dip has emerged.

I have prepared a new special report “Platinum Dip 2018” about a leveraged speculation that can increase the returns in a safe portfolio by as much as eight times.

You also learn from the Value Investing Seminar, our premier course, that we have been conducting for over 30 years.  Tens of thousands of delegates have paid up to $999 to attend.  Now you can join the seminar online FREE in this special offer.

This three day course is available in sessions that are 10 to 20 minutes long for easy, convenient learning.   You can listen to each session any time and as often as you desire.

The sooner you hear what I have to say about current markets, the better you’ll be able to cash in on perhaps the best investing opportunity since 1982.

seminars

Tens of thousands have paid up to $999 to attend.

In 2018 I celebrate my 52nd anniversary in the investing business and 50th year of writing about global investing.  Our reports and seminars have helped readers have better lives, with less stress yet make fortunes during up and down markets for decades.  This information is invaluable to investors large and small because even small amounts can easily be invested in the good value shares we cover in our seminar.

Stock and currency markets are cyclical.  These cycles create extra profit for value investors who invest when everyone else has the markets wrong.  One special seminar session looks at how to spot value from cycles.  Stocks rise from the cycle of war, productivity and demographics.  Cycles create recurring profits.  Economies and stock markets cycle up and down around every 15 to 20 years as shown in this graph.

stock-Charts

The effect of war cycles on the US Stock Market since 1906.

Bull and bear cycles are based on cycles of human interaction, war, technology and productivity.  Economic downturns can create war.

The chart above shows the war – stock market cycle.  Military struggles (like the Civil War, WWI, WWII and the Cold War: WW III) super charge inventiveness that creates new forms of productivity…the steam engine, the internal combustion engine,  production line processes, jet engines, TV, farming techniques, plastics, telephone, computer and lastly during the Cold War, the internet.  The military technology shifts to domestic use.  A boom is created that leads to excess.  Excess leads to correction. Correction creates an economic downturn and again to war.

Details in the online seminar include:

* How to easily buy global currencies, shares and bonds.

* Trading down and the benefits of investing in real estate in Small Town USA.  We will share why this breakout value is special and why we have been recommending good value real estate in this area since 2009.

* What’s up with gold and silver?  One session looks at my current position on gold and silver and asset protection.  We review the state of the precious metal markets and potential problems ahead for US dollars.  Learn how low interest rates eliminate  opportunity costs of diversification in precious metals and foreign currencies.

* How to improve safety and increase profit with leverage and staying power.  The seminar reveals Warren Buffett’s value investing strategy from research published at Yale University’s website.  This research shows that the stocks Buffet chooses are safe (with low beta and low volatility), cheap (value stocks with low price-to-book ratios), and high quality (stocks of companies that are profitable, stable, growing, and with high payout ratios). His big, extra profits come from leverage and staying power.  At times Buffet’s portfolio, as all value portfolios, has fallen, but he has been willing and able to wait long periods for the value to reveal itself and prices to recover.

keppler asset management chart

This chart based on a 45 year portfolio study shows that holding a diversified good value portfolio (based on a  good value strategy) for 13 month’s time, increases the probability of out performance to 70%.  However those who can hold the portfolio for five years gain a 88% probability of beating the bellwether in the market and after ten years the probability increases to 97.5%.

Time is your friend when you use a good value strategy.  The longer you can hold onto a well balanced good value portfolio, the better the odds of outstanding success.

Learn how much leverage to use.  Leverage is like medicine, the key is dose.  The best ratio is normally 1.6 to 1.  We’ll sum up the strategy; how to leverage cheap, safe, quality stocks and for what period of time based on the times and each individual’s circumstances.

Learn to plan in a way so you never run out of money.  The seminar also has a session on the importance of having and sticking to a plan.  See how success is dependent on conviction, wherewithal, and skill to operate with leverage and significant risk.  Learn a three point strategy based on my 50 years of investing experience combined with wisdom gained from some of the world’s best investment managers and economic mathematical scientists.

The online seminar also reveals  the results of a $80,000 share purchase cost test that found the least expensive way to invest in good value.  The keys to this portfolio are good value, low cost, minimal fuss and bother.  Plus a great savings of time.  Trading is minimal, usually not more than one or two shares are bought or sold in a year.  I wanted to find the very least expensive way to create and hold this portfolio so I performed this test.

I have good news about the cost of the seminar as well.   For almost three decades the seminar fee has been $799 for one or $999 for a couple. Tens of thousands paid this price, but online the seminar is $297.

International Earning Potential in Business

Ecuador and international earning potential in business offers great freedom.

The 4th of July, America’s day to celebrate freedom, is a good day to remind ourselves of how freedom can bring anyone and everyone opportunity now.

ecuador-earning-potential

Internet based export businesses are a way to develop International income potential.

I am happy to report, that freedom in America is not dead.   America’s independence, in my opinion, has improved and evolved.  Yankee ingenuity has used technology to enhance the business mobility that has often given America a leading business edge.

ecuador-earning-potential

that we…

Ecuador tour.

This spirit of  Americans moving to “where the action is” was epitomized in Horace Greeley’s famous quote, “Go west, young man.”

In fact Greeley himself was a reflection of this mobility-for-better-circumstances ideal.

He was born the son of a New England farmer and day laborer in New Hampshire. The economic struggles of his family meant that Greeley received a spotty education.  When he could not find enough work and seeking to better his circumstances, he set out for New York City and eventually founded the New Yorker and later the New York Tribune.

Willingness to keep moving for progress has always been the American way.  In less mobile times this mobility worked from state to state.  Now it moves from nation to nation.

At a time when US earning potential may seem diminished, it should be no surprise that Americans are on the move finding opportunities all over the world.

ecuador-earning-potential

ecuador-earning-potential

Leather products for export.

Why should American earning mobility be limited to just the borders of the USA?

The original concept of  many united states was that we lived in the land of the free and could move to whatever state that offered the best opportunity.

The real factors that make Americans free… willingness to work… try new innovations… cross social and cultural lines… take risk and trying new things works anywhere and are a state of mind and attitude… not a place… or a date.

This is the American way… serve… work harder… be better… do more for others. This works… an attitude that gives anyone, anywhere, who uses it an edge.

This is why one finds American  entrepreneurs thriving in Ecuador and anywhere one travels…  Americans and the American spirit are global… successful… and free.

Ecuador Exports

Our upcoming Ecuador Import/Export Expedition will be hosted by former course delegate, Maggie Beesley, who now has an active Ecuador export business.  Below we share her thoughts about Ecuador exports with you.

Ecuador has many colorful products to export.

Wonders of Travel by Maggie Beesley

Who likes to travel?  Who LOVES to travel? How about traveling to exotic places, where the weather is Spring-like all year?  The days are filled with wonderful fresh air, beautiful flowers and bright sunshine.

Ecuador-opportunity

Who would love to travel to an exotic location and buy the most fabulous one-of-a kind jewelry, alpaca capes, silk scarves, leather boots … and SAVE MONEY?  This would become Your own Stimulus Program!

Who would like to buy the above mentioned items and make money?  In addition to saving money, now you can make money.  Isn’t that a double opportunity?

ecuador-wine-cheese

Ecuador has many really good and low cost food products.

Welcome to Maggie’s World!

Let me tell you a little about myself and my passions.  Gary Scott, whom you all know, teaches about finding your passion or passions in life and enjoying every minute of them.

I found my passion, with Gary’s help, in Ecuador. I love to shop. I love airplanes. I love food. And I love people. With these passions what on earth would I do, but get on an airplane to Ecuador, buy things at affordable prices which can be resold for nice profits, build up an appetite, (oh, the food is to die for) and share all of this with readers like you … in person. Gary Scott’s next Import/Export Class will begin on Saturday, July 4th and end on Wednesday July 7th, or whenever you want it to end. I unfortunately have to leave Wednesday night, but by this time you will know all of these craft trails like the back of your hand and can keep on shopping…and making money.
ecuador-ticket

Natural hand weave textiles is a huge Ecuador export.

We will begin our shopping, sightseeing tour Saturday in Quito, Ecuador.  Quito is the first Heritage City of the World, and certainly lives up to its name!  Colonial Quito and its cathedrals rank high in the world of beauty and interest.

We will visit a couple of my favorite stores which are very close to our hotel.  By the way, both of these stores do take credit cards.  In addition to Googling about Ecuador, I also want all you to look at your catalogs, such as Talbots, Coldwater Creek and Nordstrom to see what is really popular now.  A couple of very popular things right now are scarves, and summer wraps.  Those scarves you see for $40 and $50, you are going to see in Ecuador for a shocking price of between $2 and $10!  The summer wraps we wear because we are freezing from the A/C…you can buy all over the market for $10.  How about Sterling Silver rings for $12 to $18? (Oh, and I forgot to mention that the are one of a kind!)

Like Leather?  What about a pair of hand made leather boots for $40?  What about purses for $28?  Yes, leather purses for 28 bucks!  I don’t want to leave out the men.  How about leather jackets for $85?  I could go on and on but I think you get the idea. That could be day one, and we have 5 more to go.  Are you packed yet?

This class will teach you about…

* What to look for

* What to be aware of

*How to know your own market

*How to make money on your purchases

*How to get your items home

Please be prepared to buy another suitcase while you are in Ecuador. A $10 expandable duffle bag can be bought at the market and you can really load it up with your treasures.  The things you purchase are probably not going to be heavy so the duffle bag works perfectly.

To sum up some the experiences we’ll have, we’ll start with a typical morning at Meson de las Flores, your home in Cotacachi, Ecuador. Each morning begins with a beautiful sunrise and the wonderful church bells.  At breakfast we will compare how many times each of you think the bells rang.  If two people agree…it could be a first.  Speaking of breakfast, we’ll start the day with a wonderful and healthy multi course meal.  We might do some Yoga stretches, take a short walk or just sit in the beautiful courtyard and enjoy the sun. We need our vitamin D and about twenty minutes of sunshine every day is good for all of us. We’ll then begin class to discuss where we’ll be going that day, what we will see, what we can buy and how to sell it. You can keep and wear some of your purchases when you get home and all of your friends will want to know where you got them…and how they can buy them, too!!

ecuador-crafts

There are many types of Ecuador crafts to export.

How do you join us?

First go online  to Ecuador Export Tour.   Book the tour there.

After that go to your favorite airline, discounter, travel agent and book a round trip to Quito Ecuador.  For those of you booking online, the city code for Quito is UIO.

You need to arrive in Quito on Friday, July 2, 2009.  Yes, you must have a Passport, but you knew that.

Once you have given us your flight information, we will pick you up at the Quito Airport and transport you to the 5 Star Hotel (at a 2 star price!)  where we’ll all spent the night before leaving for Cotacachi the next morning at 9:30am.

We’ll start out with Olga Fisch Museum (a treasure trove of knowledge and wonder of the superior crafts and arts of the country) and go to a designer store with alpaca everything…things you have never dreamed of.

Then we’ll head out to the Northern Andes and the crafts trails and spend the next 4 days shopping for the best, in the best Indian markets in the world.  You can have the opportunity of buying, selling and knowing all the good you are doing for the magical indigenous of Ecuador.

I’ll be there and look forward to meeting each of you and introducing you to a world of sunshine, smiles and shopping.

We have even purchased a 180 year old hacienda that is a charming hotel to turn into your business center!

Here’s the hotel. This is where we will conduct the course when we are not visiting markets. Rooms are only $59 a night + tax.

Plus we have an experienced English-Spanish speaking business people who live here and can act as your local backup for the business.

This combination makes it possible for you to have your own Ecuadorian import/export business, which can be run from your home or in your own Ecuadorian hideaway you’ll be able to buy with your extra profits.

Timing for such a business has never been better!

Exporting has already created fortunes for a few entrepreneurial individuals. Now because of our knowledge, experience and contacts, a special business is available for you. Until recently, operating an overseas business took a great deal of time and effort to start. This is no longer true.

Technology makes it possible to take your business where opportunity is best and allows you to run this business from anywhere in the world. You can run your export business from an office or at home! The internet makes this more possible than ever before and at the course we’ll share ideas on how to develop and use your website to enhance sales.

The internet is the Colt 45 of business, the great equalizer. If you choose to have your own import-export business you too can let the internet help your business grow for wealth and freedom.

The Ecuador Export Expedition lets you visit the markets plus entitles you to a $499 discount when you attend any of our International Business Made EZ courses that teaches the marketing theory of exporting and running an internet business.

The International Business Made EZ course that I conduct is designed to teach the marketing end of Ecuador exports.  The tour which takes place separately gives you hands on experience in the actual markets.

You can attend our International Business Made EZ course before or after you join the export tour.

This export tour last three days.

Because Merri and I will not be on this tour we have reduced the fee from our normal $999 – $1,399 to only $499 or $749 for  a couple.

You will learn directly from the contacts we introduce to you.

Then you can join Merri and me before or after the tour at one of our International Business Made EZ  courses.  The Business Made EZ course mission is to help you learn how to start, organize and develop your own internet business that can help you in publishing, exports or any type of business.

The tour’s mission  is to help you actually find products that:

#1: Can be sold to easily identified markets.

#2: Can be marked up many times while allowing a fair trade for the indigenous.

#3: Can be imported in a suitcase.

The tour lets you see in a practical way  how to achieve the goals we teach in the course.

On the tour  you learn from tour leaders who have practical experience from the shipments that they have actually incurred in their own Ecuador export business.

You learn the problems encountered and how to avoid them. (This alone will save you far more than the course tuition.)

Which products? On the tour you visit carved wood, architectural and decorative woods designs in San Antonio de Ibarra.

Textiles from Otavalo.

Here is one of the vendors in Otavalo photographed by delegates at an Import-Export course.

Religious Santos and Icons from San Antonio de Ibarra

Jewelry from San Goqui.

Paintings from all over Ecuador.

Here is an example of one type of art that a previous course delegate is having made from recycled paper and a metallic paint. Their Reiki symbol line of art is sold as fast as they c0uld get it produced.

Leathers in Cotacachi.

Here are flowers I imported that were grown in Imbabura.

ecuador-roses

I regularly import roses from Ecuador at a fraction of the price you normally pay. Here I am with 250 roses we had delivered to our home in North Carolina for our own home.

You will visit many of these places and more so you can start your business directly from the tour.

Before or after the tour, you can attend our International Business Made EZ course (at a $499 discount)  to learn the fundamentals,  where you have visited these places, seen the goods and met contacts who can back you up (or even act as a joint venture partners).

Learn how to enjoy the finest things in life because of international friendships plus how to develop them.

We have developed contacts with top Ecuador businessmen, bankers, accountants, attorneys, marketing experts, business consultants, agents all over the country that can help you, large or small, full or part time.

There you have it, valuable contacts and knowledge about timely and fulfilling business opportunities that you can cash in on now. Regardless of whether you want your business to make millions, or just add excitement and adventure in your life, to reduce tax or even live abroad, the Ecuador Export Tour can help you get involved with something you love and turn after tax costs into tax deductible expenses.

Whether you have a successful business, want a part time business for change or as job security, this course can be of enormous value to you.

The three day course can be combined with our International business and investing courses or taken on its own.

The $499  is nominal compared to the incredible education you gain and the importance of the knowledge for you and your family’s wealth now.

One delegate who attended our Ecuador export expedition wrote:

Our business of selling Ecuador products is still going well. We are now appointing Agents across Australia and should have the whole country covered by mid-August. Our initial shops continue to re-order on a regular basis. The best shops seem to re-order every two weeks.

We have also received inquiry to provide buying services for people in a few other countries. So we will be seriously thinking about starting our own brand name to market globally. If successful, it should help many Ecuadorians.

Another couple who attended this expedition sell the goods they export at flea markets.

They wrote: Good Evening Gary/Merri.  Speaking of a small business, we have opened All American Enterprises, LLC (AAE) which includes selling products from Ecuador at a trade days operation about 200 miles East of Dallas.  I don’t know if we are off to a “bang” but we are sure having fun.  See attached pictures to include our model Consuela trying to look indigenous.

Please tell Merri we have made profit on our inventory and the big sellers are alpaca silver jewelry and Octavalo alpaca ponchos.  We will visit  at the end of September and would like to restock to include blankets/ponchos/throws from Hilana.

Space makes it impossible to explain everything in the course, but I am convinced if you try it, you will find it improves your entire way of life! There has never been a time when the risk of higher tax, greater unemployment and investment dangers were higher in North America , but neither has the opportunity for small businesses abroad been so outstanding.

Here is one of the silver workers we visit.

Todd Smith, another attendee, wrote this:

Recently Gary recommended a printer in Cotacachi, Ecuador, for me to use to print my photographic greeting cards.  I was quite skeptical about doing business in Ecuador, both for the hassle of sending money, shipping the product, and most importantly the quality of the printing.  As a photographer, I am quite picky about printing.  But, after three years of good experience with Gary, I decided to take another risk and try the printer.  The results were outstanding–better than many press jobs I’ve seen in the US, and the price was terrific.

I’ve learned that Gary likes to push his students to try things they thought were too risky.  Gary lives on the cutting edge.  But, interestingly enough, I don’t think he is really a risk-taker, because his feet are always firmly planted on the ground.  I’ve learned over time that I can trust Gary’s thinking, and that he really does come up with some unusual, and very effective, solutions to problems that I’ve tried to solve on my own.

My suggestion is simply to try out Gary.  You may have to risk some money, but my experience has been so positive that feel safe in saying that the risk will be well worth it.  Of the $1000 or so that I invested , I have earned many thousands in return, and have created a lifestyle for myself that is far more fulfilling than anything I had previously.

I did the import/export course last year in Cotacachi, though I was in Ecuador mainly for photography.  While I was there, I met one of Gary’s contacts in the rose business.  We went to his plantation and he was very willing to work with any of Gary’s students to export flowers to the US or Canada.  He showed us prices that appeared to me as if they would form the basis of  a very profitable floral business.  He also explained how the flowers are shipped FedEx directly to you, and they are cut fresh before the shipment.  This means that the flowers you resell will last much longer than those that have been sitting in a florist’s shop forever.  This could be a significant advantage over the competition, and could generate some very satisfied customers.  Sincerely,  Todd Smith

Here I am with Todd Smith trying new tailor made Ecuador suits  that cost $135 to $200…an excellent Ecuador export.

ecuador-exports-bonnie

My name is Bonnie Keough. In March 2006, I went to Ecuador to attend Gary and Merri’s import/export course.

I was hoping to find items to bring back to the States and sell. I love to travel and was looking for business ideas that would enable me to do that.

I had never been to South America (never even considered it) before so it was an adventure. I didn’t know what to expect, but I had been reading Gary’s newsletter for a while and I was impressed with the Scott’s honesty and integrity. They don’t promise overnight success or try to sell you a business opportunity. They share their wealth of experiences, open doors for you and educate you on the possibilities and opportunities available. It’s up to you to implement what you learn.

I found so much more than high quality products in Ecuador, the people I deal with are kind, hard-working folks who truly appreciate my business and I appreciate their honesty and skills. I have returned to Ecuador 6 more times since my first trip and each time I leave I’m anxious to return.

I always personally select all of the items I sell. By doing this, I’ve learned a lot about quality, prices and sources and I enjoy interacting with the people. But it is hard work and not everyone enjoys that aspect of the business. You will have to decide how much you want to participate.

Don’t expect to find mass produced items in Ecuador. If you have an idea for a product, it is a great place to have items custom made. It’s possible to find high quality labor intensive pieces, such as hand knit sweaters or hand woven rugs, at very reasonable prices.

If you have a genuine interest in pursuing an import business, whether in Ecuador or elsewhere, I’m sure you will benefit from the import course. It’s a great introduction to the country and opportunities available there and provides a background on the nuts and bolts of the business. It opened a doorway to a new life for me.

We stress that this is a course combining theory and practicality…but this is a true expedition! You’ll be having fun as you view products, interview, bargain, meet, search and many will even buy. Those who are just looking for a “classroom experience in a hotel” should not attend. Everyone will be out in the field looking and examining and finding. Bonnie.
