Second, changing habits is hard.   Many of us developed fast-eating habits as children desperate to get away from the dinner table.  The habit gets carried through to adulthood.

Chewing correctly is easy!  Breaking the habit of eating quickly and developing a correct chewing routine can be hard.  Bad habits are hard to break, the less disruptive, the harder they are.
