Frequency and Health

Frequency and health are connected.

One way of looking at everything is as a collage of frequencies.

Good health is the body operating as a bundle of correct, natural frequencies.

A recent message for example looked at how the frequency of music can integrate the brain hemispheres and accelerate super thinking.

The process is also good for health.  That same article for example showed how healers globally use the frequency emitted from the conch shell because the form of these shells represent the Golden Mean.

In mathematics and the arts, the golden mean is the ratio of expansion in nature when all frequencies are in harmony. This mathematical constant is about 1.618033.

In other words each ring of a conch shell (that has grown in harmony) is about 1.6 larger than the last.

Non stressed flowers unfold on the Golden Mean.

Adolf Zeising, a mathematician and philosopher, found the Golden Mean expressed in the arrangement of branches along the stems of plants and of veins in leaves. Animal skeletons, the branches of veins and nerves expand on the Golden Mean.  The Golden Mean rules the proportions of chemical compounds and the geometry of crystals.   The Golden Mean is a universal law as Zeising wrote, “the ground-principle of all formative striving for beauty and completeness in the realms of both nature and art, and which permeates, as a paramount spiritual ideal, all structures, forms and proportions, whether cosmic or individual, organic or inorganic, acoustic or optical; which finds its fullest realization, however, in the human form.”

So hearing the Golden Mean in music or sound helps balance our being.

We built our North Carolina farmhouse on the Golden Mean… a rectangle 1 wide by 1.6 long.

We can gain balancing frequencies in other ways such as through nutrition.

Ecuador-shamans

Ecuador shamans use conch shells, tobacco smoke, floral water, herbs, chants, music and dance to balance frequencies.

For example Theanine (chemical name: r-glutamylethylamide), one of the chemicals found in green tea, helps balance the system. Theanine is used to reduce stress and anxiety without the tranquilizing effects found in many other calming agents.

Scientific evidence shows that Theanine stimulates the brain’s production of alpha waves, making the user feel relaxed but alert and not drowsy. It also helps the body produce other calming amino acids, such as dopamine, GABA, and tryptophan. As might be expected from a calming supplement, Theanine may be able to lower elevated blood pressure as well.

This is why I was excited to receive the note below from my friend, health care provider and fellow trustee on our foundation Landofthesun.org, Joe Spano, MD.

Here are Merri and me with Dr. Joe Spano (left) and Dr. Jim Key both board certified in anti aging at a shamanic ceremony on the ancient Inca Rumicucho pyramids.

When Joe gives me a health idea, I listen. His resume shows why:

Joe attended Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans from 1959 – 1963. His internship was done at Mixed Medical and Surgery; Kings County hospital center, Brooklyn, New York. His Medical Residency was at Veterans Administration Hospital and Tulane University School of Medicine, New Orleans. He had special training at Resident in Clinical Cardiology under John H. Phillips M.D., Chief of Cardiology, Veterans Administration Hospital, New Orleans.

Joe was an instructor in Physical Diagnosis at Tulane University School of Medicine. He was a Research Fellow in Medicine for gastroenterology at Harvard University, Thorndike Memorial Laboratory, Boston City Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts. He served in the Military from 1967 to 1969 in the USAF, 3560th USAF Hospital, Webb AFB, Texas; Chief of Internal Medicine; Chief of Professional Services; Chief of Laboratory Services; Chief of Radiology.

Joe has honors, membership and diplomat to American Board of Internal Medicine, Harvard Trained Gastroenterologist, American Board of Anti-Aging Medicine, Phi Beta Pi Medical Fraternity. He is listed in ”Best Doctors in America“, America’s Top Physicians (Research Council of America) and was chief of staff at Naples Community Hospital.

Joe sent this note:  Gary I have taken the liberty of sending you a few bottles of green tea, pomegranate and blueberry extracts that the business I am involved with provides. Try them and see what you think.

Thera-green Tea contains only pure, wild crafted, Chinese Green Tea and herbs.
Thera-Green Tea contains natural antioxidants derived from Green Tea, Lotus Leaf, and Kudzu Root.

Thera-green Tea helps fight free-radicals. It is an excellent addition to a weight loss program… provides immune support… nourishes cardiovascular health and
promotes healthy collagen production.

Blueberries  have one of the highest anti-oxidant ratings of all the  berries. Although the acai berry, the mangosteen  berry, and the gogi berry all are enjoying a  lot of  publicity, the blueberry is a superb  source of the chemicals such as quercetin, vitamin c, resveratrol, and anthocyanidins that neutralize free radicals which wreak havoc on cell membranes and dna making it equal if not superior in efficacy.

Extracts of blueberries enhance brain function and reduce brain aging  according to recent research, along with bilberry (a component of thera-blueberry)  improve night vision and may slow macular degeneration.  Eye strain is decreased as well.

Thera-BlueBerry contains the pure, raw pulp of whole wild Blueberries, plus
extracts of Pomegranates, Bilberries, and Elderberries.

One dropper is equivalent to 10 cups of the blueberry juice. It requires this much to get the various health benefits that have been ascribed to blueberries.

The convenience is a major advantage, I add the extracts to my water, oatmeal, and cereals.

One still has the benefit of the super food berries, even in the off season.

This is not to indicate that fresh berries are not better and that in Ecuador those fresh juices aren’t more delicious and nutritious.

Thera-Pomegranat contains all natural extracts of real whole Pomegranate fruit.  This ancient fruit has modern health benefits. Originating from Persia and mentioned in the Old Testament, pomegranate has been found to  have many positive effects on health. synergistically blended with Green Tea and Elderberry extracts.

Daily consumption of this fruit juice or its extracts seems to decrease progression of atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries).

Also, it may improve circulation to the heart under stress.  The polyphenol content, notably the anthocyanidins (gives it the color) has been shown  to reduce the progression of prostate cancer.

Because it enhances nitrous oxide production in the body the juice has been helpful in some men with erectile dysfunction. Concentrated pomegranate juice may be useful in lowering ldl (bad) cholesterol and reducing blood pressure.

Like cranberry juice its chemical components inhibits the ability of bacteria  to adhere to the urinary bladder wall and cause infection.

The fresh fruit is not available year round and the juice in supermarkets is expensive.

Therefore, the concentrated juice extract available as thera-pomegranate  from preferred medical supplements is a convenient was of getting your daily health requirement.

One or two droppers is all that is needed daily.  Regards, Joe

I am not selling these supplements but use these green tea and fruit extracts as  part of  my anti-aging strategy.

Everything is frequency and when in balance our frequencies are golden.  Yet there are many frequencies in the modern world from noise to fast food to micro-waves that disturb our natural frequency balance.

You can help restore the Golden Mean within in many ways…. through music, nutrition and being surrounded by nature.  We look forward to sharing Good Vibrations with you. Hear even better balancing vibrations below.

Ecuador Car Prices & Perception

Here is a lesson about Ecuador car prices and how we can gain or lose from perception.

First, you may be surprised to find that the cost of an Ecuador car overall may be less expensive than in Canada, Europe or the US.

In a moment you’ll see some new and used Ecuador car prices.  Then some broader thinking about Ecuador car prices.

First, let me share a true story (as far as I can tell) that helps illustrate a point that reflects in Ecuador car prices but goes way beyond Ecuador car prices.

You may have seen this story passed on over the internet about a musician at a Washington DC Metro Station on a cold January morning in 2007.

He played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time approx 2 thousand people went through the station, most of them on their way to work.

After 3 min. a middle aged man noticed there was a musician playing. He slowed his pace and stopped for a few seconds and then hurried to meet his schedule.

4 min. later: The violinist received his first dollar: a woman threw the money in the till and, without stopping, continued to walk.

6 minutes: A young man leaned against the wall to listen to him, then looked at his watch and started to walk again.

Over the 45 minutes the the musician played, only 6 people stopped and stayed for a while. About 20 gave him money but continued to walk their normal pace.
He collected $32.

No one knew that the violinist was Joshua Bell, one of the best musicians in the world. He played one of the most intricate pieces ever written, with a violin worth $3.5 million dollars. Two days before he had sold out a theater in Boston where the seats averaged $100.

This is a real story.  Joshua Bell played incognito in the metro station in a test organized by the Washington Post as part of a social experiment about perception, taste and people’s priorities. The questions raised were: in a common place environment at an inappropriate hour, do we perceive beauty? Do we stop to appreciate it? Do we recognize talent in an unexpected context?

One possible conclusion reached from this experiment could be:  If we do not have a moment to stop and listen to one of the best musicians in the world playing some of the finest music ever written, with one of the most beautiful instruments ever made …..  How many other things are we missing?

So too with cars in Ecuador.  So many people from North America have a perception that they must have a car… that they never stop, even for a moment and ask about others modes of transport.

How much are we missing when we fail to enter new opportunities with an open mind?  What do we lose when we automatically try to impose old habits on new situations without first looking, experiencing and thinking.

This is how it is with so many North Americans who have not experienced Ecuador.  They impose two misconceptions about Ecuador cars.

First, they feel they must have a car without asking why.

Second, they think that Ecuador cars cost more without checking first.

So let’s look at the facts about Ecuador car prices.

Some Ecuador car prices are high… but Ecuador car prices are very misunderstood.

Some Ecuador car prices are actually lower than in the US and Europe and the cost of having a car can almost certainly be less.

Take for example a brand new Peugeot 206 that sells in Ecuador for $16,190.

I am not sure this model is still sold in Western Europe but a used 2006 model Peugeot 206  with 36,000 miles and a 1600 cc engine is advertised for sale in England at almost $17,000.

Comparing cars in different countries is difficult, but this example shows that Ecuador car prices are not anywhere as bad as some people assume.

The higher the price of a car, the greater the difference in cost.  This is in part because the percentage of Ecuador’s duty rises with price. In other words, a Mercedes may have 100% duty and a subcompact almost none.

Some cars are also partially assembled in Ecuador or other countries with trade pacts and the duty on these is reduced.

A brand new Ford Explorer XLT is advertised at $39,950 in Ecuador.  A quick check in the US shows the price in the $29,000 price range.

ecuador-car-prices

Yet a new Ford Fiesta is offered at $13,990 compared to the $12,000 to $16,000 price that is expected when the Fiesta arrives in the USA next year. Fiestas in the UK run over $17,000.

ecuador-car-prices

Ford Fiesta

Some cars seem really expensive to me.  The price shown for a Honda Odyssey minivan like Merri and I drive in the US appears to be double what we would pay in the US.  New Volkswagon Golf (called Rabbits in the US) GTIs seem astronomical as well.

Yet the asking price for a brand new Hyundai Atos Prime is only $10,290.

So depending on what you want, the price of an Ecuador car can be higher than in the US and Europe… or less.

Ecuador used car prices are not out of line either.

This 2000 Chevrolet Cheyenne pickup with 78,000 miles has an asking price of $11,000.

ecuador-car-prices

2005 Toyota Corolla, 54,000 miles, $14,700.

ecuador-car-prices

Previous articles at our site have mentioned that Merri and I do not have a car in Ecuador nor do we drive in Ecuador.  Most of our readers do not have Ecuador cars. See why at Ecuador Car Rental Review.

Though we prefer to hire drivers with cars, you can see from the prices above and below that those who want an Ecuador car will find them easily affordable.

If one takes into account the much lower cost of gas, insurance, parking and maintenance, Ecuador cars probably cost less to run than in the US, Canada and certainly are lower than in Europe.

Every country has a system and Ecuador’s is one that encourages drivers to use smaller, fuel efficient cars that have been assembled with lower cost, local labor.

I am not sure this is what was on the politicians minds when they developed the system but with high duty on big cars and low gas prices, a larger portion of the population can have their own ride if they wish… without creating such a bad a carbon footprint.

Those who want to drive a big fuel guzzler, the polluters  pay in advance.

Plus you cannot import old cars into Ecuador… only new more efficient, less polluting vehicles are allowed in.

I wonder if this is a better system than cash for clunkers where the tax payer, rather than drivers of large and old fuel consumers, pay to achieve better fuel economy?

See more used Ecuador car prices and how to obtain new Ecuador car prices for 239 different models, 220 used cars and  a list of Ecuador car dealers here.

Getting new cars in the US is one of my least favorite activities and one delight for me in Ecuador is avoiding this task.

If you feel you must have or at least know about Ecuador cars… I hope this helps.

Business Intuitive

A business intuitive can be a useful when ideas are needed that are beyond reason.

Reason…as defined by the mind set of the society in which we live…does not always make sense.  One of the most enlightening understandings gained from 40 years of global travel is that every society has a different definition of “reasonable”.

It is fascinating that entire societies place great importance on some thing or some thought that other societies do not think of, or even know, at all.

This fact is import because clear vision in business and investing can be hard to attain unless we escape the mind sets that surround us. This is vital for fighting inflation by spotting distortions in real estate, commodities or shares.

We need to make sure that we always exercise the three Cs…Caution, Clarity and Comprehensive view.

This comprehensive view is especially important…yet hard…because distortions, by their nature, are caused by the majority being wrong.

Investing in distortions is buying when everyone wants to sell. This requires Two Addtiional Cs, Confidence and Courage.

Distortion investing requires a broader horizon to see what everyone around you does not.

Where can we get this view that goes beyond the common logic?

Merri and I have armory of tools to help us see beyond logic.

For small immediate decisions we use muscle testing and at times a pendulum.

I also use astrology because once I read an article about Aristotle Onassis, the ultra rich Greek shipping magnate. He gave the secret of being a billionaire that helped me look beyond my logic.

“Certainly one does not need an astrologist to become a millionaire.” Then he quickly added that “to become a billionaire, it is essential.”

Onassis’ statement struck a chord with me so I have continually looked for ways to attain access to our deeper thoughts…the base of our real wisdom.

Merri and I have found that escaping the tyranny of reason helps us greatly
when faced with questions that cannot be humanly answered.

For example we use astrology. When our youngest daughter graduated from university she asked “Should I go for a career in singing or go on and get a teacher’s certificate in Physical Education?” (She is a superb athlete as well as an aspiring singer.)

We all agreed that becoming a singer is a long shot. Teaching is safe. But we knew that her passion was to shoot for being a star. So how would she feel in later life if she didn’t try?

Our Vedic astrologer checked her chart. She had just moved into a cycle for performing and entertaining that would be good. That was enough to convince us. “Go for it,” we encouraged her.

Within a week she was picked as a backup singer with a huge singing group.
Her first gig was before 4,000 fans! In the ensuing year she was able to meet many of her rock star heroes as work associates.

This led her into buying a dancing-singing-drama school and by her second year (age 25) she was earning a six figure income.

Had we traveled the path of logic she would be a PE teacher…a good fulfilling job but not her true path. Her success has been beyond logic!

We all have to make some decisions based on events we cannot totally predict.

And this brings us to how else we use great information gathering assets..and that is a professional business intuitive.

Susan Stanton Rotman is her name.

Susan-Stanton-Rotman

She is from Boston and consults with businesses and individuals using her clairvoyance and other psychic abilities combined with her rational skills to help people and businesses with decision making and navigation.

Susan does not really like the word psychic (nor do Merri or I) as a lot of the information she comes up with does not just pop out of the air. She has a strong educational, legal and business background. Susan originally trained as an corporate attorney and mediator.

Susan is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Georgetown University, having received a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service in 1977, cum laude, and graduated from Georgetown University Law Center in 1981.

She practiced law for many years and has extensive experience representing both individual and corporate clients.

She owned her own retail jewelry and is a recognized expert in pearls.

She also has a broad background in esoteric and metaphysical studies, spirituality, and personal and family development practices.

She had been aware of her intuitive sensitivity at a very early age and is clairvoyant, clairaudient and claircognisant, but decided to practice law. However after years in corporate law, she found she could not ignore this gift so began working as a professional intuitive in 1991.

As a professional intuitive, she consults with businesses and individuals using both her clairvoyance and other psychic abilities combined with her rational skills to help people and businesses with decision making and navigation.

Susan works with individuals, groups and businesses in accessing and developing intuitive knowing and integrating it with logical thought for informed, balanced and purposeful decision-making. When working with clients, Susan provides vision as well as strategic direction for implementing positive and desired change. She blends practical information and personal or business advice together with spiritual insight into many aspects of the individual and his or her soul and life purpose. She helps clients identify their unique gifts, skills, and goals and how to refine and implement these into action in a way that is fulfilling and harmonious. Clients consistently describe Susan’s work as inspirational and transformative, often expressing a tangible sense of healing presence.

In Merri’s and my first meeting with her, it became obvious that she was picking up on information that she could not know from any direct logical way. I won’t go into details but will say that though I am quite hard nosed in my judgment of intuitives, in this instance we were both quickly convinced.

Though she recorded our entire session, I like written notes. Here are the non specific notes I made from my conversation with her.

“Light shines through many windows.”

“You can see most clearly when sediment drops. Too much thought stirs up the mud. Don’t magnify.

“Slow down so you don’t miss what is important.

“Magic can be a diversion that disables and blinds one to oneself.

“Look for concrete implementation of the truth.”

These may seem like very broad aphorisms, but they directly helped us make some reasonably urgent and large decisions. She did continue in that session to point out legal as well as business opportunities in the direction that we had not considered for ourselves.

I have introduced Susan to numerous readers and all have sent me raves and you can reach her at Susan@susanrotman.com
