On our first trip to Ecuador about 16 years ago Merri and I fell in love with the country side outside of Cuenca. We nearly bought a hacienda in this area but did not due to lack of water. Since that time we have looked at hundreds of real estate projects in Ecuador and very few are on the water.
So I was very interested to see so much water in the new Rio Vista Linda project.

Other features for all lot owners include access to the reservoir at the end of the property. There is variety of lot options in Phase One. Four lots have water views, four are in a large meadow, and two are hillside view lots. There are also five lots in Phase Two. Of the 15 lots… two have been taken.
The developers have permission to plant trees or shrubs along the Paute Reservoir easement.
These lots also appeal to those who wish to garden or farm. The soil is rich, will produce many different crops and the land has irrigation rights to a water canal on the lots. The four meadow lots are large enough to have horses, cows or other animals. This is a rich farming area and the University of Cuenca’s agricultural program is on an adjacent property.
The reservoir is also designated as a recreational area for boating or other activities.

Back on the land there are several lot types to choose from. You can have water views, valley views or meadow lots which are large enough to have a horse if you wish.
