Answer to Urgent Health Warning

I have an answer to an urgent health warning because Merri and I love roses and  we use roses for much more than their beauty… including rose essential oil.

People are always asking me about my cologne… telling me how much they liked it.

I have not used cologne for decades… but I do use essential oils!

essential-oil-image

This chart showing how many secret chemicals are in various perfumes and colognes come from a safecosmetics.org article linked below that tells about secret ingredients in colognes and perfumes that may not want touching your skin.

The delegates who ask Merri and me about the great scent are picking up the aroma of the pure essential oils I use… and as Merri says “drench myself in!”

I’ll explain three ways I use these oils in a moment, but first let me outline the urgent health warning that comes from Mercola.com.  Here is an excerpt from that site:

99% of Breast Cancer Tissue Contained This Everyday Chemical (NOT Aluminum)

Recent research found higher concentrations of parabens in the upper quadrants of the breast and axillary area, where antiperspirants are usually applied, suggesting they may contribute to the development of breast cancer. One or more paraben esters were detected in 99 percent of the tissue samples collected from mastectomies. In 60 percent of the samples, all five paraben esters were present

Overall, topical application of personal care products containing parabens appear to be the greatest source of exposure to these estrogen-mimicking chemicals, far surpassing the risk of the aluminum in antiperspirants

Aluminum chloride—the active ingredient in antiperspirants—has been found to act similarly to the way oncogenes work to provide molecular transformations in cancer cells. Like parabens, aluminum salts also mimic estrogen, and bioaccumulate in breast tissue, which can raise your breast cancer risk

Despite the fact that parabens are used in such a wide variety of products, their safety is primarily based on a rat study from 1956, as modern toxicology studies are lacking, and not a single study on the chemicals’ carcinogenity follow acceptable regulatory standard carcinogenity study protocols, according to a recent review

New research examining parabens found in cancerous human breast tissue points the finger at antiperspirants and other cosmetics for increasing your risk of breast cancer.

The research, which is also reviewed in an editorial published in the Journal of Applied Toxicology, looked at where breast tumors were appearing, and determined that higher concentrations of parabens were found in the upper quadrants of the breast and axillary area, where antiperspirants are usually appliedii.

Parabens are chemicals that serve as preservatives in antiperspirants and many cosmetics, as well as sun lotions. Previous studies have shown that all parabens have estrogenic activity in human breast cancer cells.

Another component of antiperspirants, aluminum chloride, has been found to act similarly to the way oncogenes work to provide molecular transformations in cancer cells. According to the authors of the editorial review, the research shows “signals of concern that such compounds are not as safe as previously generally considered, and further research is warranted.” Furthermore:

“The data from this latest study, the most extensive examination of parabens in human breast so far published, confirms previous work and raises a number of questions on the entire parabens, personal care product and human health debate, particularly relating to the source and toxicological significance of the paraben esters.”

There are three ways I use essential oils almost every day.  One of them helps avoid the paraben concern.

First, I use Candace Newman’s pure essential oil Rejuvenation formula of Frankincense, Sandalwood, Geranium, Patchouli, and Rose otto in its pure form as a face cream after shaving.  I mix a drop with Lily of the Desert 99% organic Aloe Vera Gel which has no parabens.

This oil formula comes in a little 4ml bottle to be used as perfume… and to allows me to put it in the base of my choice (aloe, cream, lotions, gels, etc.)

For whatever reason, I have stuck with the barbaric habit, learned from my teens, of scrapping a sharp blade across my face every day. Gillette has refined the concept so it works quite well, but… a blade is a blade as in in sharp… ouch…. cut… scrape.    Especially after drying the skin in an airplane for 12 hours or so… the dry skin can fight back with the blade…

Therefore, the rose otto rejuvination face mixture!

The aloe gel makes this really soothing. The oils are good for skin and body and the aroma is wonderful.

Most mornings I give myself a partial “Abhyanga Massage” with an essential oil blend of Jojoba, Rose Otto and Geranium essential oils.

These massages tone the circulation, wake up the body’s metabolism, give the skin added protection and provide important nutrients.

Oil massages with essential oils help balance the system and eliminate impurities.

The motion of massage creates heat and friction which enhances circulation and helps cleanse the areas of toxic buildup.

Ideally one can have a daily full self body oil massage. This is nourishing, relieves fatigue, provides stamina, pleasure and enhances sleep, improves the complexion and the luster of the skin, promotes longevity and nourishes all parts of the body.

Here are some of the benefits that can be gained from these regular self massages.

* Increased circulation, especially to nerve endings
* Toning of the muscles and the whole physiology
* Calming of the nerves
* Lubrication of the joints
* Increased mental alertness
* Improved elimination of impurities from the body
* Softer, smoother skin
* Increased levels of stamina through the day
* Better, deeper sleep at night

These abhyangas are traditionally performed in the morning, before a bath or shower and use cured sesame oil, an herbalized massage oil, or an aroma massage oil.

I use essential oil blends of jojoba and essential oils created by our friend from Candace Newman.

Often… when I do not feel I have time to give myself a full abhyanga, I at least massage my feet.

Foot massage for health has been used for at least 5,000 years ago. The idea is to stimulate acupuncture points in the feet. This is the principle of reflexology.

Reflexology works on the body’s energy flow.  The feet have energy processing points linked to the entire body.  If there is a blockage of energy flow in the body, there is also a block in the feet.  Pressure on the blocked points in the feet stimulates the flow of energy in the body.

Putting essential oil on these points stimulates and balances energy flow even more.

A daily foot massage makes us just a little better… each day.  Done every day… as opposed to little boosts like eating a bag of bad potato chips every day. The little bits add up (in a negative or positive way).  3,500 calories creates a pound.   An eight ounce bag of chips is about 1,200 calories. Eat a bag once and nothing much happens. Eat one a day from 3 days and you add a pound… unless you cut back elsewhere or burn up 3,500 calories.  In a month you’ve got 10 pounds.

The little things that we do every day in life add up!  That’s why I do the daily foot massage!

These massages by the way can even help get rid of excess weight without exercises and dieting.  This can be one of the most natural, scientific and healthy method of shedding unwanted fat and excess weight.

The weight loss treatment can even help reduce cholesterol levels.

Third, I use essential oil instead of a deodorant, or antiperspirant… usually geranium essential oil.

There are two reasons for this. First, there is quite a lot of evidence as we saw from the Dr. Mercola excerpt above that deodorants and antiperspirants may be bad for health.

There is a great article about this at control your www.impact.com entitled “Deodorants, Antiperspirants and Your Health.”

This article says: The goal of this article is to provide an overview of the health risks that come with the regular use of most deodorants and all antiperspirants.

This first part of the series will explain the basics: the cause of body odor, the difference between deodorants and antiperspirants, and a short overview on both products. The second part of this series will look into the connection between the aluminum in antiperspirants and Alzheimer’s Disease. The third part will focus on the aluminum in antiperspirants and Breast Cancer. The fourth part will talk about the connection between Deodorants, Parabens and Breast Cancer. The final part will delve into alternatives to aluminum / parabens containing antiperspirants / deodorants.

If you use deodorants or antiperspirants I recommend you read the entire article.  Here are few key points from it:

Sweat has no odor, the familiar unpleasant odor is caused by bacteria that live on our skin and hair. These bacteria metabolize the proteins and fatty acids from our apocrine sweat, causing body odor.

Deodorants deal with the smell by neutralizing it and by killing the bacteria that metabolize the proteins and fatty acids.

Antiperspirants on the other hand, try to prevent sweating by blocking the pores using aluminum. Without sweat, the bacteria cannot metabolize proteins and fatty acids that cause body odor.

Antiperspirants – The Over-The-Counter Drug

It might be a surprise to learn that the antiperspirant you use daily is in fact an over-the-counter (OTC) drug. As mentioned, Antiperspirants work by clogging, closing, or blocking the pores with aluminum salts in order to prevent the release of sweat, effectively changing the function of the body. Antiperspirants are considered to be drugs because they affect the physiology of the body. [4]

Because antiperspirants are drugs, they are regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Consequently, every antiperspirant sold in the US has a Drug Identification Number (DIN), which you can find on the label. A document called ‘monograph’ states requirements for categories of nonprescription drugs such as antiperspirants. It defines for example what ingredients may be used and for what intended use. If the standards of the OTC monograph are met, premarket approval of a potentially new OTC product is not necessary.

Antiperspirants contain many ingredients. However, part II and III of this series will focus on the active ingredient for antiperspirants: Aluminum. Most antiperspirants also contain paraben, an ingredient that is also used in deodorants.

Deodorants

As mentioned, deodorants deal with body odor by neutralizing the smell and by killing the bacteria that metabolize the proteins and fatty acids that occur in sweat.

In the last decade one particular ingredient in deodorants has become controversial: Paraben, a widely used preservative. Part IV will focus on paraben and its health effects.

Deodorants and Antiperspirants are Considered to be Safe

Both antiperspirants and deodorants are considered to be safe by the FDA, the American Cancer Society, the National Cancer Institute and the Mayo Clinic.

However, as you will learn in this series, FDA regulation does not mean that a drug is without danger. Like prescription drugs, the FDA oversees OTC drugs to ensure that they are properly labeled and that their benefits outweigh their risks.

There are many products or ingredients of products that have become controversial in regards to health effects. However, this does not mean that products will be taken off the market until deemed safe. Often, the FDA does not consider the evidence of danger to consumer’s health strong enough to take action.

The FDA will be the main subject of a future article, but if you want to research some of the bad decisions the FDA has made in the past, then Google some examples of product that only got pulled off the shelves when it became too obvious that people were dying due to heart attacks caused by these medications: ‘Vioxx’, ‘Celebrex’ and ‘Bextra’. The conclusion of this debacle according to leading cardiologist Dr. Eric Topol:

Neither of the two major forces in this 5-and-a-half-year affair — neither Merck nor the FDA — fulfilled its responsibilities to the public.

So I am not putting that stuff  (Deodorants or Antiperspirants) under my arms in the sensitive lymph area… ever.

“These areas are so important to health that my friend Jay Glaser M.D. suggest avoiding regular soap for cleaning these areas. In his book “Body Renewal – The Lost Art of Self Repair” Jay writes: Use gentle glycerin soap only in the groin and underarms. Otherwise use mung bean flour, barley flour or chickpea flour instead of soap, available in Indian groceries (mung bean flour is usually best, but you can try them all). Keep your flour in a dry container near the shower, moisten it in your fingertips and gently apply it to the areas to be cleansed.”

Jay, by the way is one of the best healers I know… an MD and ayurvedic physician who spent years learning ayurved in India.  When Merri and I first began improving our health through Panchakarma, we met Jay and have been good friends ever since.  See more on this at Wisdom of the Secret Valley.

Jay was the medical director along with John Douillard and Deepak Chopra at the health center.  Over the next seven years we developed a friendship and when we were invited to hike into the Llangantis deep in the Ecuador’s Oriente to learn more about the shamanic life…  Jay and his wife, Danielle, were the first we asked to join us.  Sanskrit is the root of Quichua the language of the Andes and Jay’s knowledge of Sanskrit and ayurvedic healing were invaluable in helping us see connections between Indian and Andean healing.

Jay’s book “Body Renewal, the Lost Art of Self Repair” is a must read.  I have added a link for ordering this at Amazon.com below.

Here we are… Merri and me with Jay overlooking the Llanganatis.

Personally, I avoid soap every other day and on weekends.  I just shower in warm water and use a geranium jojoba oil mixture after.

essential-oil-image

Then I use geranium essential oil mixed with jojoba oil. Essential oils are so strong that it’s better not to apply them direct to skin without mixing them in a neutral oil like jojoba.

Geranium essential oil is antibacterial and may have health benefits instead of detriments… plus they smell really good.  Hence everyone wanting to know about my (non existent) cologne.

Geranium oil is an anti bacterial oil distilled from the leaves and stems of the geranium plant which are harvested just before flowering  and helps relieve depression, anxiety and frustration.  This oil  has more than 250 different molecules belonging to many chemical families. Its dual balancing actions are due to its high content of stimulating alcohols and relaxing esters.  Its balanced chemistry results in its regulating effect on hormonal systems and it acts on the adrenal cortex to balance the nervous system.

Candace Newman’s Geranium is the Rose Geranium (Pelargonium roseum) from Madagascar which is ECOCERT… the very best.

Use Rose Otto essential oil on your face and geranium essential oils under your arms. Get ready for people to ask “What smells so good?”

I showed this article to Jay Glaser and he wrote me: “Rose oil is also known in the Vedic medical sciences for its cooling and calming properties. Another important essential oil anyone can use for creating more balance is sandalwood oil, which has a cooling, purifying effect on both body and mind. It is traditionally also used for spiritual purposes, because it soothes the emotions, calms irritability and settles the intellect. Yogis use it therefore to have clearer meditations free of distracting thoughts. You can place a small amount over the heart, the seat of the emotions, to free your awareness in order to focus. Good sandalwood oil has come more into demand and sandalwood trees more rare, so get it from a reliable source that preserves the trees.”

Jay is correct about sandalwood. The genuine sandalwood trees  are medium-sized trees of the genus Santalum that grow mainly in India, Australia, Indonesia, and the Pacific Islands.  Santalum album, or Indian sandalwood, is currently a threatened species and consequently very expensive.  To preserve this wonderful species use sandalwood sparingly.

I buy almost all of my essential from our friend Candace Newman (The Oil Lady). She has been offering essential oils for decades and has a great website about their uses.  Candace offers the best in pure essential oils including geranium and rose otto.  She also produces the wonderful rose otto facial rejuvenation mixture and is a reliable source for sandalwood oil produced in a way that preserves sandalwood trees.

I am mentioning this on June 1st because today starts Candace’s 20th Oil Lady Anniversary Sale is June 1 through 22.  This is her biggest sale ever….20% off retail prices, free shipping in Continental USA at $200.00 and gifts at $100.00 and $300.00.    The links to her shopping cart will give these discounts to our readers from today until June 22, 2012.

Music can ease stress, improve health and help you learn.   A study at the Cleveland Clinic, shows that music can slow the neuronal firings deep within the brain.   The study shows that music can do such things as help decrease pain and blood pressure and improve movement in Parkinson’s patients.   The research centered on motor centers deep within the brain and shows that music can modify the activity of thalamic and subthalamic neurons.

Patients in the study found melodic offerings were the most soothing and the  recordings of their brain activity were eye-opening.  Listening to melodic music decreased the activity of individual neurons in the deep brain.   The response to the calming music ranged from patients’ closing their eyes to falling asleep.   That relaxation reduced needs for medication, controlled blood pressure and provided quicker recovery times and shorter hospital stays.

Learn Spanish in Three Days

Learn Spanish in Three Days ONLINE

The Learn Spanish in three day course is now available online.

Read below to see why we are offering our Super Spanish course online for the first time.

Speaking Spanish is a huge benefit on its own.  You can become one of the rare North Americans who can get along in Spanish speaking countries.  You can be one of the special people who can communicate with 10 million non-English speakers in the USA.  Spanish is the second most used language in the USA.  There are more Spanish speakers than speakers of Chinese, French, German, Italian, Hawaiian, and the Native American languages combined.  According to the Census Bureau, Spanish is the primary language of nearly 50 million people in the US.  This is the largest Spanish-speaking community outside of Mexico. Only half of these speakers also speak English “very well,” and 19% do not speak Spanish at all.

You can tap into all this potential when you speak Spanish.  Yet there are more benefits.

An article in England’s leading newspaper, the Telegraph, entitled “Why learn a foreign language? Benefits of bilingualism” (1) sum up the biggest benefit of learning a second language and increased intelligence.  The article says: “Learning a foreign language is more than just a boost to your CV or handy for traveling.  It will make you smarter, more decisive and even better at English.  Physiological studies have found that speaking two or more languages is a great asset to the cognitive process.  The brains of bilingual people operate differently than single language speakers, and these differences offer several mental benefits.”

The article then explains studies that show seven cognitive advantages gained from learning a foreign language.

#1:  You become smarter
#2:  You build multitasking skills
#3:  You stave off Alzheimer’s and dementia
#4:  Your memory improves
#5:  You become more perceptive
#6:  Your decision-making skills improve
#7:  You improve your English

Does it sound impossible to learn Spanish in three days?  Yes, it is impossible when you try to learn Spanish in the old, traditional way.

Though you may choose to take more time using this course to learn Spanish, thousands of our readers have learned at our Spanish courses.

There is a scientific method of learning… proven and described in numerous best selling books that create educational jumps by making education natural, easy and fun.   This course works because it is education without stress!

This method was created and refined by the Bulgarian educational master, Georgi Lozanov, who transformed the entire Soviet educational system to such a degree that this third world country beat the USA into space.

Merri was lucky to be one of a handful of students outside of Bulgaria who were allowed to be taught this system in the early 70s.  She practiced this unique and remarkable form of education for  four decades. It was a delight!

Merri and I began integrating these techniques with other shamanic and educational tactics we had gained in our global travels and then applied them to teach Spanish in three days.

The course has been proven again and again by the thousands who have used this system.  You can read a few of the many raves we have received from delegates who have learned from the Super Thinking Spanish course we created.

Here are a few quotes from delegates of the course.

One delegate from St. Louis wrote:  Hi Gary,  Just ended forty-five years in dentistry last week, and I’m on to a new career.  What is my new career?  Still formulating, but the eye -opening,mind expanding Super-Spanish course last weekend in St. Louis surely shows me the opportunity exists to expand my horizons.

Besides having a lot of nice people to learn our new language; the methods Merri and you developed proved to be just what you said they would be.  We all and I in particular relaxed our way to new learning.  I feel so very comfortable with the basis of my new language skills that I know I will be spitting out great Spanish sentences by the time I reach Ecuador in October.  Last year I spent six weeks in Ecuador and now I plan on conversing with the people.

Today’s excerpt of your newsletter really hit home. You do what you say you will. There are no surprises or hidden sales tricks. The only tricks are beneficial to our learning.  Thank you for a wonderful experience that I was quite unable to grasp how you would pull it off.  You did, however, and I look forward to other courses that you offer, and I have absolutely no doubt they also will work beneficially.  Best regards, Denis Molloy.

Another wrote about the Super Spanish course:   Buenos Dias, here is a testimonial for Super Thinking-Super Spanish.  Please feel free to use all or part in promotions for the course.  In addition, you may give my email address to any prospect “on the fence” about enrolling.  Yesterday, in Cotacachi, Ecuador, I finished Super Spanish.  I had high expectations for the course and they were exceeded.

After three days, I can speak Spanish in complete sentences. In simple conversations, such as buying groceries or ordering a meal, I can make myself understood. I think that’s incredible!

Although I am far from the competence level of a native speaker, I feel I’ve taken a giant step forward in learning Spanish so that I can experience the people and culture of Ecuador.  The foregoing benefits would have more than justified the time and money I invested in Super Spanish.  And learning some Spanish was not the most important benefit I got from the course.

Prior to leaving the USA, I had felt for some time that the pace of life there was unhealthy for me (and for most people) and I did nothing about it.

I’ve thought about the pace issue during the course.  One of the key elements Merri Scott designed into Super Spanish is placing the student in the optimal state for learning.  In class, the past three days, I’ve been re-introduced to guided journeys and introduced to the calming effects of Baroque music (www.sundaybaroque.org).  What a blessing! I’m inclined to make one or both a daily part of my life.   Rob Christi.  Cotacachi, Ecuador

Another attendee from a course wrote:   “I took this incredible class a few weeks ago, and I would like to tell anyone that is interested, that it is an amazing three days of learning with lots of laughs included. You leave everyday wanting to learn more and are so excited to do so.

“Other Spanish classes and tutoring made us feel like it would take forever to get to the point where we could put it into practice, but this method gave us a more fluent use for everyday life almost immediately AND the confidence to use it.  It is a fantastic way to show people how much they know and give confidence to learn and use Spanish creating a momentum.

“They made learning Spanish easy and fun in a very relaxed, comfortable atmosphere.  I would definitely recommend this course.  Even if you know some Spanish, this helps make it easier because of the less stress that no verb conjugations gives you.  This gives you more confidence in yourself to try and speak it more.

“The stress free atmosphere and tons of interaction and participation were very conducive to learning.  The relaxation techniques alone are worth the price.  The fact that I can now feel more comfortable conversing in Spanish with my new friends and neighbors is priceless.  Muchas, muchas gracias.”

“I loved the relaxed environment.  I picked up quite a lot of new vocabulary.  I found this course very informative about how the language works, how I can make sentences and understand others better!  Muchas Gracias!  I had a call from Telcel (the local phone company) after our second class and I was able to speak and understand them for the first time. Despacio (meaning slowly) … a great word!  Everyone should take this course before they pick up bad habits.”

“I liked how simply the course was organized and the positive attitude about learning.  Thank you so much for helping me to learn Spanish!”

“I liked the laid back yet professional approach.  I highly recommend this new, relaxing method of learning Spanish,  I feel a lot more confident in the delivery of my words and sentences. It was taught in an excellent and very professional way.

“It was a very enjoyable class.”

How The Course Works

The first tactic is to use Baroque music in the learning process.  At least three best selling books, “Superlearning”, the “Mozart Effect” and “Superlearning 2000” have revealed insights about how to learn and think more powerfully based on systems drawn from the Bulgarian educational master, Dr. Georgi Lozanov.  Merri Scott was among just a few who learned directly from Lozanov.

The second tactic uses 17 unique lessons to provide Spanish fluency in a short time.   Let me prove to you how this tactic works by teaching you hundreds of Spanish words in less than 30 seconds.

Here is the proof.

“Most words in English that end in ION are almost identical, just pronounced differently.  For example action is accion, education-educacion, manipulation- manipulacion, etc.”

There you have it.  How long did it take you to read the sentence?  You now know hundreds of Spanish words that you will never forget.

See examples of the words you already know below.

How long would have taken you to memorize all those words?  How soon would you have forgotten them?

This is just one of seventeen Spanish lessons in the course.

The next lesson teaches how to pronounce each of the nouns.

Then, the third lesson teaches almost as many verbs, almost as quickly.

The fourth lesson shows how to avoid conjugating verbs by sticking with the infinitive (far easier than it sounds).  This simple lesson leaves a person sounding like a Spanish professor without ever conjugating a verb.

Lesson five shows how to sound infinitely polite and yet get almost anything desired in Spanish.

Lesson six gives valuable connectors and the seventh lesson triples the Spanish capacity with three words for “yesterday,” “now” and “tomorrow”.

By the end of three days you feel comfortable speaking Spanish.

Plus the system is Impro-Dynamic.  This means your Spanish keeps getting better even though you do not seem to be studying… practicing… or speaking Spanish.

I was amazed by this as I traveled back and forth from the USA to Ecuador.  The longer I was away from Ecuador… the better my Spanish became.  My second language was automatically improving The self improving feature comes because you learn to create Spanish sentences rather than remember them.  The portion of the brain that creates is more powerful than the portion that recalls.  When your mind creates something… it owns it!  You do not have to remember .

During the course you learn 4005 Spanish words that you already know .

You then learn how to create Spanish sentences from these words.

Throughout the course you learn how to pronounce the sentences you create.

When the course ends… the mind keeps working… and creating… so next time you begin to speak Spanish you’ll be surprised .  You improve even though you have not actively worked on your lingual skill.

Due to the difficulty of getting groups together to learn this valuable technique, we are testing an online beta program for subscribers to use the Super Spanish course at home.   This is a beta test and is available only this week, June 5 to 11, at the highly reduced price of $79.

I’ll be in touch personally via email with each person who signs up for this course to see how it works or what is required to make it better.  Once this test is complete, we plan to offer the program on a larger scale and at a much higher price.

The course has our, full satisfaction or money back, guarantee.  Try Super Spanish for 60 days.  If not fully satisfied, simply let us know for a full refund.

Maggie wrote: It didn’t really seem possible that we would be speaking and understanding Spanish in only 3 days but the course made it happen in a very supportive learning environment.  I would highly recommend this course for anyone wishing to learn “practical Spanish”.  The teaching methods, use of relaxation, the use of native Spanish speakers for pronunciation and the teachers themselves who were approachable and helpful and always positive made this a very valuable class.

This course improved my self confidence in my ability to learn and retain a language.  It was presented with genuine enthusiasm, great energy and the style of learning is very effective. Gracias!  It was a great experience.

Nadine wrote: “Just spent the last 3 days in the most wonderful learning environment learning Spanish.  What an amazing learning experience!!  First day out of class and I could not stop thinking in Spanish WOW!!  I am amazed by how much I learned, retained and how much more is showing up now that I am out of class.  And the best part is THERE WAS NO STUDYING!! Indeed this is Super Thinking!!!  I would highly recommend this to anyone that has ever had a desire to learn another language or learn anything in record time.

And a few days after that ….  As I went through my day, just hanging out with my son, I could see myself starting to think in Spanish.  At first I thought it was amusing but as it continued and increased I thought “My goodness this is really remarkable amazing” It was really an effortless unfolding.  I wasn’t at any point “trying” to think in Spanish, just words I knew would fly across the screen in my mind.  And then this afternoon, my son cuddled up on the couch to watch some cartoons on his ipad and was watching Peppa Pig in Spanish…hmm coincidence?  I think not, I’m radiating Spanish so much that my son is being influenced!  Thanks a million again.  This weekend the best learning experience of my life!!

If you have ever had a desire to learn Spanish this is the way to do it!  By the end of the first day I had more confidence and more practical ability than I had from any previous courses I had taken.  It was fun and relaxed and full of laughter.  You will leave this class excited to use what you have learned.  Rather than leaving overwhelmed with how much you have yet to learn and master, you are equipped with the knowledge and know how to go out and communicate as well as the excitement to do it!”

Gary noted:  “The whole approach is positive and conducive to learning at a level that benefits ALL participants.  It is not intimidating and does not set up a pass/fail atmosphere.  The presenters are terrific and the results unbelievable.  It was relaxed, informal, friendly and effective.”

Twila said:  “This class provided a very refreshing and relaxed way of learning.  The atmosphere felt very safe to say the words you were practicing.  I learned a lot in a way that will make it easy to apply.  Starting with conversation is way more fun.  How quickly you can learn!  It was a great group, great instructors and great stories.

The atmosphere in the classroom was so relaxed that learning Spanish felt like a breeze and not like a painful task.  The relaxation exercises are really conducive to language learning.  We learned A LOT in a short time and it was fun and the environment was non-threatening.”

Brigitte sent this:  “Buenos Dias, Suzanne. su clase de espanol es excelente! Muchas Gracias!
I have already done what you suggested and went into the program listening to the music and going over the lessons.  I know: Repetition……reinforcement…..thinking in the new language….it’s all part of it.  I loved your course and will certainly recommend it to friends.  Who knows….I might feel the urge and have the opportunity to repeat it at your beautiful place in Puerto Aventuras…..Quien sabe? Hasta otro dia y saludos a su familia.”

Marie wrote:  “I would highly recommend this course.  The amount covered in 3 days is amazing!  All with no stress.  The correlation lessons and pronunciation practice has greatly reduced my anxiety to go out and use my Spanish.  I really enjoyed the whole process and thank you for the take away tools.”
