Balancing Massage Oils


Merri and I massage one another’s feet almost every day and three of our favorite  balancing massage oils help balance how we feel and what’s going on from our day.

Maintaining steadiness and balance in turbulent times is important.

All three are massage oils from Laboratoire Gibro in Switzerland and each is 100% natural.  They are certified as ECOLOGICAL AND ORGANIC cosmetic by Ecocert (France).  Their composition is very similar to the sebum of the skin. They are nourishing and moisturizing as they  soften the skin and leave a soft touch.

At times we use the Chi Yang which is  warming and stimulating and works well on the kidney points as they are known in Chinese medicine.

This is for an energizing and toning massage.

Properties and Recommendations of Chi Yang:

Energizing, toning, anti-inflammatory and aphrodisiac. The Chi Yang massage oil is recommended for physically or mentally tired people. It is appropriate against rheumatisms and arthritis and warms the muscles before sports. It gives courage and optimism and puts in a good mood.

Ingredients:

•    Organic sunflower oil : rich in omega 6 and 9 and in vitamin E and F, the sunflower oil moisturizes and softens the skin. It penetrates easily and leaves a non-greasy soft touch.

•    Organic avocado oil : rich in omega 6 and 9, in proteins, minerals and vitamins  (A, B, C, D, E, H, K and PP), the avocado oil has moisturizing, anti-wrinkles and revitalising properties. This makes it ideal for a nourishing massage.

•    Squalane from olive : natural emollient from olive. It is one of the best oil that acts against the aging of the skin.

•    Organic black pepper oil, coming from fare trade : toning, stimulating, aphrodisiac, improves blood circulation and warms.

•    Organic ginger oil : toning, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, stimulating in body massage, recommended in the treatment of rheumatisms and arthritis.

•    Organic cardamom oil : toning, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and digestive.

•    Organic star anise oil : toning, recommended in the treatment of rheumatisms

•    Organic cinnamon oil :  toning, stimulating, it warms and is a potent antibacterial.

•    Amyris sandalwood oil : anti-inflammatory, anti-irritating, lymphatic and venous decongestant.

•    Organic ylang-ylang oil : calming, sedative, aphrodisiac and induces good mood.

•    Tolu balm resin : anti-inflammatory, very useful to heal wound and eczema.

•    Natural vitamin E : main antioxidant of the organism, it protects the cells against free radicals and prevents oils from going rancid.

Other times we use Chi Yen Massage Oil.

Properties and Recommendations:  Chi Yen is relaxing, cooling and anti-wrinkle. The Chi Yin massage oil is indicated in case of stress, nervousness, and anxiety.  It is recommended in the treatment of cellulite and on “heavy legs”. It soothes burns, eczema and psoriasis. It improves the blood and lymphatic circulations. It is indicated in case of irritated skin. It is recommended after sport, sauna or in treatment of sunburn.

•    Organic Peppermint Oil : cooling, relaxing, decongestant, recommended on “heavy legs”.

•    Organic Cypress Oil : promotes blood and lymphatic circulation, recommended on “heavy legs”.

•    Organic Geranium Oil : calming, healing (burns, eczema), indicated in case of stress, nervousness, and anxiety.

•    Organic Bergamot Oil : calming, sedative, anti-inflammatory

•    Organic Cedarwood Oil : relaxing, recommended in the treatment of cellulite and water retention.

•    Organic Wintergreen Oil : very potent analgesic, anti-inflammatory, recommended after sport.

•    Natural vitamin E : main antioxidant of the organism, it protects the cells against free radicals and prevents oils from going rancid.

Most often we use Zen Massage Oil.

Zen oil is calming, relaxing (mentally and physically), light antidepressant, anxiolytic, anti-irritating, anti-inflammatory, lipolytic (elimination of fats), antioxidant (anti-age). The Zen Massage Oil is recommended in case of stress, anxiety, nervousness. It induces good mood and helps concentrating. It increases self-confidence and well-being.

Ingredients :

•    Organic sunflower oil : rich in omega 6 and 9 and in vitamin E and F, the sunflower oil moisturizes and softens the skin. It penetrates easily and leaves a non-greasy soft touch.

•    Organic avocado oil : rich in omega 6 and 9, in proteins, minerals and vitamins  (A, B, C, D, E, H, K and PP), the avocado oil has moisturizing, anti-wrinkles and revitalising properties. This makes it ideal for a nourishing massage.

•    Grapefruit oil : calming and lipolytic (elimination of fats).

•    Organic sweet orange oil : calming, anti-irritating and anti-inflammatory

•    Guaiac wood oil : food antioxidant, powerful anti-inflammatory

•    Organic ylang-ylang oil : calming, sedative, aphrodisiac and induces good mood.

•    Natural vitamin E : main antioxidant of the organism, it protects the cells against free radicals and prevents oils from going rancid.

We need all the help we can get to keep our balance during rapid change. Merri and I find balancing massage oils used each evening one valuable way.
