Ecuador Web Business

An Ecuador web business can bring greater freedom in life… and security as well.

Sunrises are great this time of year here at our Blue Ridge farm where I am jotting away at this note.

My first book published in the 1970s was entitled “Passport to International Profit – How to be a One Man Multinational”.

Blue Ridge sunsets can be pretty spectacular too.

That book and and our newsletters and reports and website have focused since around the premise that the sun always shines somewhere.

Sunsets are also nice from the terrace of our Cotacachi studio.

One of the greatest privileges is that I am allowed to work in so many places where the sun shines, metaphorically, economically and really.

We have not been at our new Florida home enough to get a sunset shot yet… but this shot from our back yard is looking due West… so I know the sunsets will be great from there.

Yet…

the best sunsets are seen from the balcony at our Ecuador Pacific beach apartment.

Merri and I work hard… no doubt about that, yet our efforts never seem like work… because we love what we do and we are free to enjoy working from so many different places.

Everyone should work towards this freedom… earning their way… with like minded people… in great places… where the sun shines.

We want to help. There are three ways we can assist you in having an Ecuador web based business.

First, we provide a free course written by Michelle Toole on how to develop a website. The latest lesson in this course is below.  I hope you enjoy and gain from it.  We give special thanks to Michelle for sharing it.

Second, we offer our internet course Tangled Web – How to Have an Internet Business. Plus our webmaster David Cross can create a site… just like ours for you.  See details here.

Third, Merri and I personally conduct International Business and Investing  seminars with our webmaster. We have three of these seminars set up throughout 2010 to share what we are doing with our international investing and internet business. We share how you can use the same steps to create your own online business.  See our 2010 seminar schedule here.

We are especially proud when our courses help delegates develop their own business.  Michele Toole is a wonderful example. She sent this note with the latest lesson in her course.

Hi Gary,  Great newsletter this morning, Candace Pert is one of my favorite authors! Attached is my article for this month.  I have some great news, my web site  http://healthy-holistic-living.com is now getting on average 2,000 visitors a day!  Yup my little one man show web site now gets close to 60,000 visitors each month!  The power of the internet is amazing as well as the opportunities.  We have said it before but it deserves saying again the internet is truly the great equalizer.

My web site is at a point now that it is growing without much effort and produces a nice passive income allowing me to continue working on my second site http://home-remedies-and-natural-cures.com and to get my third site up and running.  I am also working on various joint ventures with other web sites focusing on helping others start their own web business. I am doing monthly webinars helping disabled individuals start their own business on the Internet and will be starting a coaching club in the new year.  The opportunities are only limited by one’s imagination.

Again I can not thank you and Merri enough, I look forward to many great adventures and new experiences in the coming years!

Michelle was disabled when she first attended our courses and tours.  A shamanic minga tour helped her enjoy a full recovery and our internet publishing course helped her develop her own successful internet business.  99% of Michelle’s success is her work… her dedication… here striving towards a worthwhile goal.   Yet even if we added 1% that is very fulfilling.

Here is the latest lesson in Michelle’s course.

Outsourcing and Virtual Assistants

By Michelle Toole

In case you didn’t know, there are two very important questions you should know the answers to about your web business.  First, should you outsource aspects of your web business? Second, at what point in your business should you consider this option?  These are tough questions which are made even harder by the incredible opportunities on the Internet today.

Certainly outsourcing is not a new concept, but let’s first clarify what it is.  When we are outsourcing we are simply subcontracting a service, such as product design or manufacturing, to a third-party company or individual.  Simple enough, but with the advent of the Internet the services and the number of companies or individuals willing to provide those services is much greater than in the past.  And, with the World Wide Web, it is Global, so we are no longer geographically limited which allows us to not only find the best person for the job but at the best price.

So, once again, should you outsource work related tasks or projects? Simply put yes, but the key here is to know what you should and shouldn’t outsource.  This is an important decision to consider because it can make a huge difference in whether or not outsourcing will truly better leverage your time so you can grow your business.

So, how do you go about making this important decision?  First thing you need to determine is how to assess the value of your time. In order to do this, you will need to compare your hourly earnings (or potential hourly earnings) against the cost of outsourcing a task. Take the time to evaluate what your time is worth and then compare it to the cost of delegating.

The key is to know yourself, what are your strengths, weaknesses and what do you enjoy doing? Ask yourself, is it more advantageous for your skills to be used creating joint ventures or should you be doing the laborious task of link building? What is the best value your talents can bring to your site and your business?

At this point, it is time to decide, what should you outsource?

For starters, think of the tasks that you don’t enjoy doing, or that you’re not especially good at. Tasks that are time-consuming or repetitive are good candidates for outsourcing. Simply put, outsource the functions you do poorly, allowing yourself  to focus on the functions you do well.
Keep in mind that not all tasks are essential even among the outsourced tasks, give priority to those tasks that will give you the best return for your business.

In general, tasks fall into three categories:

1) Tasks that help build a site or improve its quality
•    Build Content
•    Graphics
•    Site Administration
•    Monetization

2) Tasks that help to promote a site
•    Marketing
•    Link Building
•    Social Networking

3) Offline Business Tasks
•    Accounting
•    Product Creation
•    General Office Tasks

It is important that you choose wisely. You may not want to outsource tasks that require access to your web site code or administrative functions.  Keep in mind that although outsourcing is a great way to grow your business, before you consider outsourcing a project you need to make sure you know the entire process.
Having done the job yourself prior to outsourcing will let you know exactly how much time and effort it takes to complete the task and it will help you in articulating your expectations to your potential providers.

Bottom Line….

Outsourcing is a fantastic way to maximize your time, minimize your stress and possibly help you enjoy more of your work day.  Remember, time is your most important asset. Spend it wisely.
