Cotacachi Picasa Pictures

Cotacachi Picasa pictures and links to 118 Ecuador pictures at Picasa are below. Picasa is a great photo medium and with over 14,000 readers we are sent many photographs of Cotacachi Ecuador. The picasa Cotacachi shots below sent by one of our readers are especially good.

In addition to these Cotacachi Picasa photos here are two reasons why our courses, tours and services can assist you in Ecuador.

First, the reader who just sent the Cotacachi Picasa pictures just returned from Ecuador and sent us this note.

Hello Merri and Gary. Thank you so much for your help with my trip to Ecuador. It was a wonderful trip of a life time. Ecuador is a beautiful place. I kept having to pinch myself to make sure that it wasen’t just a dream. Everything went off perfectly. John gave me a great tour of Quito, and later took good care of me at Meson. He showed me around Cotachci, and he got me to the dentist in Ibarra, where I received great dental work at a very reasonable price, and he took me to the market in Otavalo. What a market. John is a great “gringo” babysitter.

San Clamente is a lovely place, and the people at Palmazul were great, especially Lourdes. She was a real blessing since my Spanish is weak, at best. The foreman of the condo project gave me a tour, and the next day I got to meet and visit with the man who is the owner. That man has a lot of irons in the fire.

All in all, it was a perfect trip, and I could not have done it without you and your people.

The jungle camp on the Rio Napo near Tena was great also. They were expecting 75 to 100 kids, but 220 showed up. Those Equadorian kids are great. They know how to take care of themselfs and are very helpful and appreciative. A real blessing compared to the spoiled rotten kids here in the states. Thanks again for everything. I hope I can go back soon. Ed Green.

Ed posted 118 Ecuador pictures on Picasa of Cotacachi and the area, Hotel Quito (where we recommend delegates stay in Quito and Palmazul on the coast. Links for the Ecuador Picaza photos are below.

First here is a note from another reader who was in Ecuador at the same time as Ed and she wrote.

Gary, we are in Cotacachi and looking at real estate. We were originally interested in El Batan but find it is under high wire towers and are not interested in that. Then (Name Deleted) showed us the new development just above El Batan, being done by a lady named (Name Deleted). My question is do you know anything about the reliability of this lady. We have heard different things, some of them not good and are afraid to go ahead with putting any money down as it has been said three different Americans have lost money. How do we know who we can trust.

We are a bit at a loss as I feel that (Name Deleted) is not telling us everything and after talking to the people at El Mason, we find we are paying way too much -$500 for three weeks in the Casa Pas. Now are feeling very uncertain about going ahead. We don´t want to loose our hard earned cash.

We didn´t do your tour as we couldn´t afford it but ask if you can give us some direction. Down here how do you know who to trust and who to believe?

Thanks for any advice you can give. We went to the hotel but Steve has always been teaching so didn´t have a chance to talk with him.

Sincerely, Joan

I wonder how much this reader saved by skipping a tour? She was correct that she was paying too much for accommodations. Plus it appears that her trip has been spoiled. Plus she is at risk in her real estate deals. A number of our previous readers who have moved to Cotacachi have set themselves up as Ecuador real estate agents (I deleted their names above) and now offer FREE tours. These FREE tours are something like a free lunch.

We are not real estate brokers. We are not travel agents. We do not take commissions on real estate or on booking hotels etc. Our staff and Steve Marchant and John Papski are supported by our subscriptions and tour fees.

So while one of our readers was able to buy a house at San Miguel a popular gated community in Cotacachi for $85,000 one of the Cotacachi real estate agents offering FREE real estate tours was offering a similar house for $139,000. They had increased the price enormously hoping to make the extra slice.

While our reader Ed Green above was able to enjoy a 50% discount at hotel Quito, the other reader on the FREE tour was finally realizing, “we are paying way too much -$500 for three weeks in the Casa Pas.”

We have previously warned readers previously about El Batan and the power lines last May.

The owner of that project threatened us for telling the truth by the way (more on this in another message) but have and will continue to report what we see as we see it because we have no financial incentive for our readers to buy or not.

Below are 118 Cotacachi Picasa pictures from a happy reader.

We welcome you to visit us in Ecuador. You will find enormous value in Cotacachi and throughout Ecuador but like like anywhere in the world there are no FREE lunches.

We can help you gain the best deals available, the best services and refer you to those we trust because we represent you, not sellers. We now have over 14,000 readers who have epressed an interest in Ecuador so there are few sources of Cotacachi or Ecuador information that have a broaqder base of contacts and data about what is happening in Cotacachi and Ecuador.

We are supported by subscriptions to our Ecuador Living Service and our course and tour fees.

We purposely do not accept real estate commissions or commissions for hotels so that when asked the question Down here how do you know who to trust and who to believe, we can answer “US” and we can back this promise with more referrals and raves than you can imagine.

We have been in and have been recommending Ecuador for 14 years now and look forward to serving you.
