Raising Money Abroad #8

A businessman involved in raising money for a restaurant in Argentina creates this lesson on how to develop business plans. There may be an investment opportunity, especially for restaurant owners as well.

Steve Rosberg is an experienced banker who I have worked with for years. He recently began putting together a business plan to help his son start a restaurant in Barcelona.

Study this plan if you want to see how a good business plan should be formed. You can see it at http://www.garyascott.com/data/20030619.pdf

Also if you are thinking of any business abroad study this and then look at our tax tip message

Finally if you know the restaurant business and want to diversify abroad (out of the U.S. dollar) you should get in touch with Steve.

The investor is seeking one or more equity investors, with the aim of raising Euros 200,000 (about $230,000) and is offering 50% of the company and a member to the board of directors.

Annual sales are conservatively estimated at EUR 1,040,000 ($1,200,000) and pre-tax profits at EUR 275,000. (US300,000) which translates to EUR 184,000 (US$200,000) after taxes.

Until next message, may all your business be good!

Gary
