SARS protection

Newmax.com recently reported an important medical discovery relating to the SArs virus. Here is how the article begins:

"Medical researchers have discovered that the SARS virus can survive on common surfaces at room temperature for days. The discovery is a shock to importers of Chinese-made goods because it is clearly possible to contract the disease from products contaminated by infected workers."The shocking find by medical scientists working on the SARS virus also showed that common detergents failed to kill the disease, suggesting that efforts to sterilize contaminated areas and goods may be futile. Japanese researchers have also discovered that the SARS virus can survive long periods of intense cold."

This article started me thinking ways to disinfect our surroundings without polluting the home and office with carcinogenic and mutagenic poisons such as chlorine and Butyl.

We use Ted's Stuff on everything because though it is totally organic and readily biodegradable, it is a potent germ killer.

I wash my hair with Ted's Stuff and spray it on my face, even brush my teeth with it (terrible taste by the way) yet I have a copy of a lab report from Davis Analytical Laboratories in Sarasota Florida which shows that two to three drops of Ted's stuff has the same effect as one drop of clorox.

I asked Ted Tidwell who manufactures this cleaner his opinion on whether Ted's stuff kills SARS virus. His reply was:

"As of today, there are no labs testing this virus. However, it is in the same class as those pathogens that 1st EnviroSafety Organic cleaners killed effectively in lab tests to required to prove efficacy as a 'hospital grade disinfectant'."

I checked out the lab test from a virus medical laboratory. This is a six page report showing that the lab tested the killing efficacy of Ted's Stuff on "Pseudomonas aeruginosa" and concluded that under the conditions of that test the sample of Ted's stuff demonstrated efficacy against that germ as required by the U.S. EPA for disinfectant claims.

Ted's Stuff is not a disinfectant. It is a multipurpose cleaner but this test suggests that it kills some germs very effectively. In fact it kills more than virus. Ted's stuff also wipes out bacteria and fungus. I spotted this fact when I reviewed another three-page lab report on Ted's stuff from America's largest independent lab that has been in business for over 100 years. Their test summary reads:

"Test results clearly demonstrate antibacterial/antifungal activity on the organism tested. Tests did not include Tuberculocidal, viral disinfectant or sanitizing activity."

If scientific tests show that Ted's Stuff kills the SARS virus, this will be a great breakthrough. However, even if this proof does not occur, Ted's Stuff does remove toxins and kills some germs which has to be good for your immune system…and that in itself should add protection to your health. Ted's Stuff is the only organic readily biodegradable cleaner that really works that we know of.

May your environment always be pure and your health strong.
